a plurality of perforated sections that are designed to be
selectively removed, and a plurality of indicia, each indicium in
the plurality of indicia being located adjacent to a perforated
section from the plurality of perforated sections, so that when a
perforated section from the plurality of perforated sections is
removed, an adjacent indicium from the plurality of indicia
identifies the removed perforated section.
2. A beverage container as in claim 1 wherein the beverage

5. A beverage container as in claim 1 wherein each indicium is the
plurality of indicia is a color section.
6. A beverage container as in claim 1 wherein each indicium is the
plurality of indicia is a shape.
7. A beverage container, comprising: a label, the label including:
a plurality of scratchable sections that are designed to be
selectively removed, and a plurality of indicia, each indicium in
the plurality of indicia being integrated as part of a scratchable
section from the plurality of scratchable sections, so that when a
scratchable section from the plurality of scratchable sections is
removed, this changes which indicia from the plurality of indicia
are viewable.
8. A beverage container as in claim 7 wherein each indicium from
the plurality of indicia is visible until a scratchable section on
which the indicium resides is scratched off.
9. A beverage container as in claim 7 wherein each indicium from

under which the indicium resides is scratched off.
10. A beverage container as in claim 7 wherein the beverage
container is a water bottle.
11. A beverage container as in claim 7 wherein the beverage
container is a can.
12. A beverage container as in claim 7 wherein each indicium is the
plurality of indicia is a character.
13. A beverage container as in claim 7 wherein each indicium is the
plurality of indicia is a color section.
14. A beverage container as in claim 7 wherein each indicium is the
plurality of indicia is a shape.
15. A beverage container, comprising: a label, the label including:
a plurality of peel-off sections that are designed to be
selectively removed and stuck to a new area on beverage container,
and a plurality of indicia, each indicium in the plurality of
indicia being located on a peel-off section from the plurality of
peel-off sections, so that when a peel-off section from the
plurality of peel-off sections is removed and stuck to a new area
on the beverage container, the indicium identifies the peel-off
section that has been removed and stuck to the new area on the
beverage container identifies the peel-off section that has been
removed and stuck to the new area on the beverage container.
16. A beverage container as in claim 15 wherein the beverage
container is a water bottle.
17. A beverage container as in claim 15 wherein the beverage
container is a can.
18. A beverage container as in claim 15 wherein each indicium is
the plurality of indicia is a character.
19. A beverage container as in claim 15 wherein each indicium is
the plurality of indicia is a color section.
20. A beverage container as in claim 15 wherein each indicium is
the plurality of indicia is a shape.
Description
BACKGROUND
[0001] Water bottles and other beverage containers are often freely
distributed during gatherings of people. When many beverage
containers are set down in a gathering of people, it is sometimes
difficult to remember or identify which beverage container belongs
to whom. When there are marking pens available, individual beverage
containers can be marked to identify to whom the beverage belongs.
However, marking pens are not always available
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0002] FIG. 1 shows a beverage container with a label that contains
perforated sections that can be easily removed to produce
identifying indicia in accordance with an implementation.
[0003] FIG. 2 shows a beverage container with a label that contains
scratch off sections that can be scratched off to produce
identifying indicia in accordance with an implementation.
[0004] FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 show a beverage container with a label
that contains peel off stickers that peeled off and stuck on the
beverage container to produce identifying indicia in accordance
with an implementation.
[0005] FIG. 5 shows a beverage container with a label that contains
peel off stickers that peeled off and stuck on the beverage
container to produce identifying indicia in accordance with another
implementation.
DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT
[0006] FIG. 1 shows a beverage container 11 with a label 12 that
contains perforated sections 13. For example, beverage container 11
is a water bottle or other bottle container made of plastic or
glass. Alternatively, beverage container 11 is a can or other type
of liquid container. For example, label 12 is composed of paper and
perforated sections 13 are perforated sufficiently to allow easy
intentional removal, while not perforated so much that sections
will fall off unintentionally.
[0007] A row of indicia 14 is placed in close proximity to
perforated sections 13, so that each perforated section is adjacent
to a character or some other identifying indicium so that when a
perforated section is removed the identifying indicium adjacent to
the perforated section identifies the removed section. For example,
the indicia is composed of characters (such as letters or numbers)
or other types of indicia such as shapes and/or colors.
[0008] For example, a combination of perforated sections can be
removed to provide a unique identification. For example, an owner
of beverage container 11 can intentionally remove perforated
sections so that he will recognize beverage container 11 either by
the perforated sections that have been removed or by the perforated
sections that remain.
[0009] FIG. 2 shows a beverage container 21 with a label 22 that
contains scratch-off sections 23 that can be scratched off to
personalize beverage container 21. For example, beverage container
21 is a water bottle or other bottle container made of plastic or
glass. Alternatively, beverage container 21 is a can or other type
of liquid container. For example, label 22 is composed of paper and
scratch-off sections 23 contain identifying indicia that can be
scratched off. For example, the identifying indicia is composed of
characters (such as letters or numbers) or other types of indicia
such as shapes and/or colors.
[0010] For example, a combination of scratch-off sections can be
scratched off to provide a unique identification for beverage
container 21. For example, an owner of beverage container 21 can
intentionally remove scratch-off sections so that he will recognize
beverage container 21 either by the scratch-off sections that have
been removed or by the scratch-off sections that remain.
[0011] Alternative to using scratch-off sections, scratchable
sections can be used. For example, each scratchable section has an
opaque covering. Each opaque covering can be scratched off to
reveal an underlying indicium. An owner of beverage container 21
can remove the opaque coverings on a combination of scratchable
sections to uniquely identify beverage container 21.
[0012] FIG. 3 shows a beverage container 31 with a label 32 that
contains peel-off sections 33 that can be peeled off and reattached
to beverage container 31 to personalize beverage container 31. For
example, beverage container 31 is a water bottle or other bottle
container made of plastic or glass. Alternatively, beverage
container 31 is a can or other type of liquid container. For
example, label 32 is composed of paper and peel-off sections 33
contain identifying indicia that can be peeled off. For example,
the identifying indicia are composed of characters (such as letters
or numbers) or other types of indicia such as shapes and/or
colors.
[0013] FIG. 4, for example, shows a combination of peel-off
sections that have been peeled off and placed near a top of
beverage container 31 to uniquely identify beverage container 31.
For example, an owner of beverage container 31 can intentionally
remove peel-off sections locate the peel-off sections at a location
that will uniquely identify beverage container 31 to the owner of
beverage container 31 and to others.
[0014] FIG. 5 shows a beverage container 51 with a label 52 that
contains peel-off sections 53 that can be peeled off and reattached
to beverage container 51 to personalize beverage container 51.
While in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, each of the peel off sections 33
contains an indicium composed of a letter of the alphabet or a
number, in FIG. 5, each of the peel off sections 53 contains an
indicium composed of a color section having a different color than
the other peel off sections. The peel off stickers can be peeled
off and stuck on beverage container 41 to produce identifying
indicia composed of a combination of colors. The foregoing
discussion discloses and describes merely exemplary methods and
embodiments. As will be understood by those familiar with the art,
the disclosed subject matter may be embodied in other specific
forms without departing from the spirit or characteristics thereof.
Accordingly, the present disclosure is intended to be illustrative,
but not limiting, of the scope of the invention, which is set forth
in the following claims.
