[0019] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 3, there is shown a hole-drilling device for a cigar comprising a shaft cover 11, a tubular cutter 12, a rotating shaft 13, a c-shaped ring 14, and a screw nut 15 for mounting to the rotating shaft 13 at one end.

[0020] The shaft cover 11 having a cutter opening 11 at the top end is a hollow cylindrical body for the accommodation of the tubular cutter 12 and the rotating shaft 13. The top section of the shaft cover 11 has a diameter larger than the inner diameter of the cutter opening 111, and the size of the cutter opening 111 allows the top section of the tubular cutter 12 to be protruded beyond the cutter opening 111. A plurality of screw threads 112 are provided at the inner wall of the shaft cover 11 and are utilized for the screwing with the screw threads 121 provided at the external edge of the bottom section of the tubular cutter 12. An engaging groove 113 is provided along the inner wall edge of the shaft cover 11 for the accommodation of the c-shaped ring 14 provided at the rotating shaft 13.

[0021] The rotating shaft 13 is engaged within the shaft cover 11. The tubular cutter 12 has a hollow body and the size thereof allows the mounting of the shaft cover 11 from the bottom section thereof.

[0022] A plurality of screw threads 121 are provided at the external edge of the bottom portion of the tubular cutter 12. The screw threads 121 can be engaged with the screw threads 112, and the top end of the tubular cutter 12 is polished to form a circular sharp blade 122 for cutting a hole at the head portion of a cigar 2. The bottom of the middle section of the tubular cutter 12 is an oval shaped hole 123 allowing the mounting of an oval-shaped rod 131 mounted at the top section of the rotating shaft 13. By rotating the rotating shaft 13, the oval-shaped rod 131 rotates the tubular cutter 12 and the screw threads 121 of the cutter 12 cause the cutter 13 to move upward along the screw threads 112 of the shaft cover 11. The bottom portion of the shaft cover 11 is provided with the rod-shaped rotating shaft 13, and on the top portion of the rotating shaft 13, the oval-shaped rod 131 having a plurality of screw threads 1311 are provided. A screw nut 15 having a screw hole 151 is used to mount to the screw threads 1311 provided on the rotating shaft 13. A circular stand 132 is provided at the middle section of the rotating shaft 13, and the size of the stand 132 can be inserted within the bottom section of the shaft cover 11.

[0023] An engaging slot 134 is provided at an appropriate position on the stand 132, allowing the engagement with the c-shaped ring 14. When the stand 132 is mounted at the bottom section of the shaft cover 11, the c-shaped ring 14 is engaged with the engaging groove 113 so that the rotating shaft 13 is mounted within the shaft cover 11. The bottom section of the stand 132 has a diameter larger than the external diameter of an urging stand 133 located below the stand 132. The bottom section of the urging stand 133 is provided with a holding section 135, facilitating the turning of the rotating shaft 13.

[0024] In accordance with the present invention, when the rotating shaft 13 rotates, the oval-shaped rod 131 drives the hole 123 of the tubular cutter 12, and the screw threads 121 at the external edge of the bottom section of the tubular cutter 12 rotates upward along the screw threads 112 at the inner edge of the shaft cover 11, and the ring blade 122 of the tubular cutter 12 is protruded out from the cutter opening 111. Thus, the head of the cigar 2 is cut circumferentially to drill a hole on the cigar 2. If the tubular cutter 12 is to be retracted, the rotating shaft 13 rotates in an opposite direction, as shown in FIG. 4.
