Description

FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of the portable communications device showing my design;

FIG. 2 is a front view thereof;

FIG. 3 is a side view thereof;

FIG. 4 is an opposing side view thereof;

FIG. 5 is a rear view thereof;

FIG. 6 is a bottom view thereof;

FIG. 7 is a top view thereof;

FIG. 8 is a front perspective view of an alternative embodiment of the portable communications device showing my design and illustrating that the exterior surface is formed of multiple contrasting materials. As shown by the different shaded regions, the device includes at least four visually different surfaces.

FIG. 9 is a front view thereof;

FIG. 10 is a side view thereof;

FIG. 11 is an opposing side view thereof;

FIG. 12 is a rear view thereof;

FIG. 13 is a bottom view thereof; and,

FIG. 14 is a top view thereof.

Further describing the second embodiment of FIGS. 8-14, the similar shading drawn on the side grips, a majority of the entry keys, and antenna illustrate that these regions may be formed of a first material type (such as one or more of an elestomeric or rubber material). The second material on the front portion of the device illustrated by the darker shading includes a different material from that of the other illustrated surfaces. The second material may present a chrome or chrome-like appearance. A third shading type (cross-hatched) on the rear surface of the device illustrates a third material having a visually different appearance from the first and second materials. The third material may be a high gloss surface. The unshaded region of the device indicates a fourth portion of the device having a visually different surface material relative to the other three materials (such as a sparkle-metallic finish).
