Description
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates in general to the construction of a
container and, in particular, to a new and useful container package
in which materials are held in a display exhibit and which includes
various display level portions party-elements which are visible
through a transparent window of the cover.
The present invention deals particularly with a container assembly
having various compartmentalized levels defined by one or more
inserts of a material such as cardboard for example. The device is
particularly useful for accommodating materials of diverse nature
for example, party-devices such as napkins, invitation cards,
serving utensils, etc. The container includes a compartment forming
insert having a first main level and one or more additional

visible. The present invention is an improvement over the prior
art, particularly in respect to the arrangement of the various
items of diverse nature and in respect to the locating of the items
at various levels within the container and in a visible viewing
area portion which may be exposed by a transparent portion of a
cover.
Accordingly, it is an object of the invention to provide an
improved container and container assembly which includes a box
portion having an insert forming a plurality of display areas, the
areas accommodating diverse materials, and wherein the container is
closed by a cover having a viewing window permitting viewing of the
materials arranged at the diverse levels.
A further object of the invention is to provide a container and
container viewing assembly which is simple in design, rugged in
construction and economical to manufacture.
The various features of novelty which characterize the invention
are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and
forming a part of this specification. For a better understanding of
the invention, its operating advantages and specific objects
attained by its use, reference should be had to the accompanying
drawings and descriptive matter in which there is illustrated and
described a preferred embodiment of the invention .
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
In the drawings:
FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a container and container
assembly constructed in accordance with the invention;
FIG. 2 is a section taken along the line 2-2 of FIG. 1; and
FIG. 3 is a top plan view partly broken away of the container
assembly constructed in accordance with the invention.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Referring to the drawings in particular, the invention embodied
therein comprises a container display assembly generally designated
10 which includes a bottom or base container portion 12 having an
insert member 14 forming a plurality of layers or display surfaces
16, 18 and 20, and a top cover 22. In addition, the container

container 32 for the utensils in accommodated within the recessed
layer 18 and the stack of cocktail napkins 30 are accommodated
within the section 20. The upper level display area 16 accommodates
the napkin stack 26 and stationery 28.
As indicated in FIG. 3, when the diverse materials 24 are assembled
within the container base portion 12 and the cover 22 is applied, a
central viewing window 34 of transparent material becomes aligned
