Disposable Highly-Protective Oral-Nasal Mask
Abstract
A disposable highly-protective oral-nasal mask comprises a
fixing part. A notch is formed in the portion, corresponding to an
oral cavity, of the fixing part. An oral cavity coverage part is
arranged at the notch, corresponding to the oral cavity, of the
fixing part, and is detachably connected to the fixing part. A
first fold part with upward external folds is further arranged on
the oral cavity coverage part. A second fold part with downward
external folds is arranged on a nasal cavity coverage part. Two
easily deformed components are located in accommodating cavities
which are formed in the fixing part in one-to-one correspondence
with the easily deformed components. Both accommodating cavities
are arranged in the length direction of the fixing part. One
accommodating cavity is located between the oral cavity coverage
part and the nasal cavity coverage part, and the other
accommodating cavity is located above the nasal cavity coverage
part. As a result, air circulation parts of the oral cavity and a
nasal cavity are separated to reduce the air circulation between
the oral cavity and the nasal cavity.

Description
RELATED APPLICATIONS
[0001] This application claims priority to Chinese Patent
Application No. 202010485502.3, filed on Jun. 1, 2020, which is
incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic is seriously
endangering the lives and health of people all over the world, and
the global economy is suffering huge losses. In a "fight" against
the COVID-19 epidemic, wearing a mask is the most important weapon
in our daily life, and it is also one of the important ways to cut
off droplet and air spreading of viruses. As the novel coronavirus
may exist for a long time, it will become normal for people to wear
masks. However, cough is a protective reflex movement of the human
body. Slight and infrequent coughs help to remove sputum or foreign
bodies from an airway, which is conducive to the control of
respiratory system infection. However, a coughing patient wearing a
mask may re-inhale the viruses that have been previously ejected,
which is not conducive to their recovery.
[0003] At present, disposable masks are worn by people having
certain defects. First, in normal daily communication, it is
inevitable to talk, sneeze, cough, and the like, and the bacteria
and viruses ejected by means of talking, sneezing and coughing can
be inhaled secondarily through nasal cavities in the masks, so the
disposable masks are especially not suitable for weak bodies;
second, in special places, such as hospitals, dental offices and
student canteens, when mouths must be opened, removing the masks
exposes oral cavities and nasal cavities simultaneously, which
increases the risk of harming bodies by the viruses and bacteria
through the nasal cavities.

oneself better on the basis of protecting others.
[0019] According to the disposable highly-protective oral-nasal
mask, air circulation parts of the oral cavity and the nasal cavity
are separated through the arrangement of the folds and dual
function of the aluminum plastic strips or the protrusion part to
reduce the air circulation between the oral cavity and the nasal
cavity, which can solve the problem of individually preventing
bacteria and viruses discharged through the oral cavities from
re-entering human bodies again through the nasal cavities to
endanger personal health. An effective protection effect on
preventing novel coronavirus infection is achieved, and a

these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be
thorough and complete, and will fully convey the scope of the
invention to those skilled in the art.
[0028] The specific implementation mode of the disclosure will now
be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings
FIGS. 1 to 2.
Embodiment 1
[0029] The disposable highly-protective oral-nasal mask provided by
the disclosure comprises:
[0030] a fixing part 1, wherein a first notch is formed in the
portion, corresponding to an oral cavity, of the fixing part 1;
[0031] an oral cavity coverage part 2, arranged at the first notch
of the fixing part 1 and detachably connected to the fixing part 1,
wherein a first fold part 3 with upward external folds is further
arranged on the oral cavity coverage part 2;
[0032] a nasal cavity coverage part 4, on which a second fold part
5 with downward external folds are arranged;
[0033] two easily deformed components 6, located in accommodating
cavities which are formed in the fixing part 1 in one-to-one
correspondence with the easily deformed components, wherein both
accommodating cavities are arranged in the length direction of the
fixing part, wherein one accommodating cavity is located between
the oral cavity coverage part 2 and the nasal cavity coverage part
4, and the other accommodating cavity is located above the nasal
cavity coverage part 4;
[0034] earloop part 7, fixed to the two sides of the fixing part
1.
[0035] The oral cavity coverage part 2 in the present embodiment
may be separated from the fixing part 1 as required, and may fit
again to facilitate the use on an occasion where the mouth need to
open; and meanwhile, the risk of inhaling bacteria can be reduced
because of the protection effect of a nasal mask.
[0036] With regard to reducing the air circulation between the
nasal cavity and the oral cavity, according to the present
embodiment, independent spaces are respectively formed at the nasal
cavity and the oral cavity through the limitation to the direction
of the folds of the first fold part 3 and the second fold part 5
arranged on the oral cavity coverage part 2 and the nasal cavity
coverage part 4, internal folds of the oral cavity coverage part 2
are downward, and internal folds of the nasal cavity coverage part
4 are upward, so direct circulation of the airflow of the nasal
cavity and the oral cavity is limited by adopting two reverse
folds;
[0037] on this basis, the present embodiment further improves the
blocking effect on the airflow between the nasal cavity and the
oral cavity by additionally arranging the easily deformed
components 6 between the oral cavity and the nasal cavity and
better fitting the easily deformed components 6 and the face.
Embodiment 2
[0038] On the basis of the embodiment 1, a second notch
corresponding to the nasal cavity is further formed in the fixing
part 1 of the present example; the nasal cavity coverage part 4 is
arranged at the second notch and is detachably connected to the
fixing part 1.
[0039] The nasal cavity coverage part 4 and the oral cavity
coverage part 2 in the present embodiment are detachably connected
by the same method, which meets the use in examinations of the
nasal cavities or other situations in which the nasal cavities need
to be exposed without exposing the oral cavities.
[0040] In the present embodiment, both the oral cavity coverage
part 2 and the nasal cavity coverage part 4 are detachably
connected to the fixing part 1 through non-woven double-sided
adhesive tapes;
[0041] the earloop parts 7 are made by externally coating elastic
rubber bands or elastic ropes with hydrophilic non-woven
fabrics.
[0042] The easily deformed components 6 are aluminum plastic strips
or aluminum plastic pieces.
Embodiment 3
[0043] In order to further reduce the air circulation of the oral
cavity and the nasal cavity, on the basis of the above embodiments,
the easily deformed components 6 of the present embodiment are
aluminum plastic strips or deformable plastic rubber strips. The
non-woven double-sided adhesive tapes are further arranged on the
side surfaces, close to a human body, of the aluminum plastic
strips or deformable plastic rubber strips. The purpose is to make
the aluminum plastic strips or the deformable plastic rubber strips
fit the face better.
Embodiment 4
[0044] In order to better reduce the air circulation of the oral
cavity and the nasal cavity, a protrusion part which protrudes from
one side of the mask to one side of the face can also be arranged
on the inner surface of the fixing part between the oral cavity
coverage part 2 and the nasal cavity coverage part 4. The
protrusion part is used for preventing the air circulation of the
oral cavity and the nasal cavity. It should be noted that the
arrangement of the protrusion part is only to increase obstruction
of the air circulation between the nasal cavity and the oral
cavity, but may not affect the breathing of the oral cavity and the
nasal cavity. In order to avoid the displacement of the protrusion
part in a process of talking or opening the mouth, a bonding layer,
such as a non-woven double-sided adhesive tape, can be arranged on
the side, in contact with the face, of the protrusion part.
[0045] The fixing part 1, the oral cavity coverage part 2 and the
nasal cavity coverage part 4 in each of the above embodiments all
adopt multilayer structures which meet the requirements of
disposable surgical medical masks.
[0046] Therefore, the research and development of the disposable
highly-protective oral-nasal mask of the disclosure can not only
effectively block a virus spreading problem between people, but
also prevent an individual from re-inhaling pathogenic bacteria
coughed out from his oral cavity into the nasal cavity again. In
special places, such as restaurants and stomatological hospitals,
the nasal mask can continue to perform individual protection after
the oral mask is removed, which can not only meet the protection
against virus infection of people, but also improve an adverse
effect on an individual caused by wearing the oral mask for a long
time, so the needs of normal life are met better. The novel
disposable highly-protective oral-nasal mask is low in cost and
wide in application range, and has a good application prospect.
[0047] Although the embodiments of the disclosure has been shown
and described, for those of ordinary skill in the art, it can be
understood that a number of variations, modifications,
substitutions, and variants may also be made on these embodiments
without departing from the principle and spirit of the disclosure,
and the scope of the disclosure is limited by the attached claims
and equivalents thereof.
