FIREARM HANDLE WITH VARIABLE HANDLE GEOMETRY

Abstract

The invention relates to firearm handles and exhibits a novel type of modification of the handle geometry. Due to the different and diverse size variations of the human hand, adapting the handle geometry to the respective operator is desirable. In known solutions for modifying the handle geometry, attachment parts which differ in size are attached to the handle. By means of this attachment process, the handle geometry can be modified with a range of attachment parts of different sizes. This solution is disadvantageous in that a respective attachment part must be attached for each desired modification of the geometry. In other known solutions, an adjustment device is integrated into the main part of the handle, said adjustment device allowing a modification of the handle geometry. This solution is disadvantageous in that the integrated adjustment device is costly, and a gap is formed between the handle main part and the adjustment part, which can change positions, upon adjusting the adjustment device. The aim of the invention is to solve the aforementioned disadvantages such that an asymmetrical attachment part can be attached advantageously to the handle in multiple positions, at least in two positions, such that multiple geometry sizes, at least two geometry sizes, can be implemented on the handle using an asymmetrical attachment part.

Claims

1. A firearm handle with variable handle geometry, characterized in that at least one single asymmetric additional part can be attached at least in two or more different positions relative to the main handle in order to change the handle geometry of the firearm handle.
Description

[0001] The present invention refers to handles on firearms and shows a new way of changing the handle geometry.

[0002] In known solutions with adjustment devices integrated in the handle, for example EP0230528B1, it is disadvantageous that the main handle has a component extensive adjustment device, and a gap is formed between the main handle and the adjustment part when the geometry is adjusted.

[0003] In known solutions for changing the handle geometry, additional parts with different dimensions to each other are attached to the handle. This attachment allows the handle geometry to be changed from a variety of additional parts with different dimensions. The disadvantage of this solution is that one additional part must be attached for each desired change in geometry.

[0004] The presented invention has the objective to solve the above-mentioned disadvantages in such a way that an asymmetrical additional part can be advantageously attached to the handle in several, at least two, positions in such a way that an asymmetrical additional part can produce several, at least two, geometric dimensions on the handle. The horizontal circumference of the handle (referred to in the following as handle geometry) can thus be varied at least twice with an asymmetrical additional part.

[0005] In order to technically achieve the described requirement of changing the handle geometry (5), at least one additional part (2), which is asymmetrical in its insertion direction, is inserted completely from below into the longitudinal guides in the main handle (1), which are designed for this purpose, in an advantageous design variant, in order to obtain a specific handle geometry (5) of the handle on the basis of the asymmetrical additional part (2). This one and the same asymmetrical additional part can be fully inserted into the main handle again after vertical swiveling by 180.degree. and, due to its asymmetrical property (3, 4), results in a second modified handle geometry (5) on the handle.

[0006] The main features of the invention are illustrated by the following drawings:

[0007] FIG. 1 Illustration of the firearm handle

[0008] FIG. 2 Illustration of the firearm handle with additional part pulled out, swiveled by 180.degree.

[0009] FIG. 3 Illustration of the different handle geometry
