Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Fields of the Invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a brush device, and more
particularly, to a brush device with multiple propeller unit which
is rotated by water flow to drive the brush to enhance cleaning
result.
2. Descriptions of Related Art
[0002] The conventional brush generally includes a handle or a grip
with bristle. The users holds the brush with one hand to clean the
objects, and the other hand holds a water hose to provide water to
remove the debris. However, when cleaning an object with multiple
recessed areas, like wheel rims, the users are frustrated to
carefully operate the brush in different direction so as to reach
and clean the recessed areas. Although electric brushes are
available in the market, the connection to a power source is a
problem in some situation.
[0003] The present invention intends to provide a brush device that
is rotated by water flow.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0004] The present invention relates to a brush device and
comprises a housing having an exit end and an entrance end. A room
is defined in the housing and communicates with the exit end and
the entrance end. The exit end includes a through hole and multiple
first bores. The entrance end includes a second bore which
communicates with the first bores. A propeller unit includes a
shaft and multiple first blades. The shaft includes a body and a
driving head wherein the body is located within the room, and the
driving head extends through the through hole and is connected with
a brush. Multiple first blades are located on the outside of the
body so that the brush is rotated by water entering from the
entrance and exiting from the exit end.
[0005] The present invention will become more apparent from the
following description when taken in connection with the
accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration
only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present
invention.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0006] FIG. 1 is a perspective view to show the brush device of the
present invention;
[0007] FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the brush device of the
present invention;
[0008] FIG. 3 illustrates water flows through the brush device of
the present invention;
[0009] FIG. 4 is an end view of the propeller unit of the brush
device of the present invention;
[0010] FIG. 5 is a perspective view to show the brush device of the
present invention with the connector and the handle, and
[0011] FIG. 6 shows the locking member is connected between the
connector and the housing of the brush device of the present
invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0012] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, the brush device of the present
invention comprises a housing 1 having an exit end 12 and an
entrance end 15 respectively formed on two ends thereof. A room 11
is defined in the housing 1 and communicates with the exit end 12
and the entrance end 15. The exit end 12 includes a through hole
122 and multiple first bores 121 which are located around the
through hole 122. The entrance end 15 includes a second bore 151
which communicates with the first bores 121.
[0013] A propeller unit 2 located in the room 11 and includes a
shaft 21, and at least one first part 22 and at least one second
part 23 are mounted to the shaft 21. The shaft 21 including a body
212 and a driving head 211 on one end of the body 212. The body 212
located within the room 11, and the driving head 211 is a
rectangular head that extends through the through hole 122 and
connected with a brush 4. Specifically, the brush 4 includes a
connection hole 42 defined in one end thereof as shown in FIG. 2,
and the driving head 211 of the shaft 21 is securely engaged with
the connection hole 42. The body 212 of the shaft 21 includes
multiple ribs 213 extending axially from the outside thereof.
[0014] The at least one first part 22 includes a first tube 221
which includes a first passage 223 defined axially therethrough.
The first tube 221 includes multiple first ridges 225 protruding
axially from the outside thereof. Each of the first ridges 225
defines a first groove 224 formed axially in the inside of the
first tube 221. The body 212 of the shaft 21 co-rotatably extends
through the first passage 223 and the ribs 213 of the body 22 are
engaged with the first grooves 224. Multiple first blades 222 are
located on the outside of the first tube 221.
[0015] Similarly, the at least one second part 23 includes a second
tube 231 which includes a second passage 233 defined axially
therethrough. The second tube 231 includes multiple second ridges
235 protruding axially from the outside thereof. Each of the second
ridges 235 defines a second groove 234 formed axially in the inside
of the second tube 231. The body 212 of the shaft 21 co-rotatably
extends through the second passage 233 and the ribs 213 of the body
22 are engaged with the second grooves 234. Multiple second blades
232 are located on the outside of the second tube 231. The first
and second blades 222, 232 are located along the body 212 of the
shaft 21 and located alternatively to each other as shown in FIG.
4.
[0016] As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a connector 5 includes a first
connection hole 51 defined in the first end thereof, and the
entrance end 15 of the housing 1 is connected to the first
connection hole 51. A handle 6 has the first end thereof pivotably
connected to the second end of the connector 5. A second connection
hole 61 is defined in the second end of the handle 6 so as to be
connected with a water source such as a water hose (not shown). The
first and second connection holes 51, 61 communicate with each
other. The handle 6 further includes an adjustment member 62 which
is cooperated with a valve (not shown) in the handle to adjust
water volume that enters from the second connection hole 61 and
exits from the first connection hole 51. A washer 3 is mounted to
the driving head 211 and located between the body 212 of the shaft
21 and the inside of the exit end 12. Therefore, the body 212 of
the shaft 21 does not directly contact the inside of the exit end
12 to enhance rotation of the shaft 21. A locking member 7 connects
the housing 1 to the connector 5. The housing 1 and the brush 4 are
pivotable relative to the handle 6 by the connector 5.
[0017] As shown in FIG. 3, water 8 flows from the second connection
hole 61 of the handle 6 and enters into the entrance end 15 via the
first connection hole 51 of the connector 5. The water 8 drive the
first and second blades 222, 232 so that the shaft 21 are rotated
by the rotation of the first and second blades 222, 232. The
driving head 211 is connected to the brush 4 so as to rotate the
brush 4. The bristle 41 on the rotational brush 4 effectively clean
objects. The brush 4 can be easily replaced simply by pulling the
brush 4 from the driving head 211.
[0018] The brush 4 is rotated by water flow and no electric power
needed.
[0019] While we have shown and described the embodiment in
accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those
skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without
departing from the scope of the present invention.
