Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The invention relates to a wiper blade packaging and a wiper blade.

[0002] Numerous wiper blade packagings are already known which are provided for a wiper blade having a fastening adapter for fastening to a wiper arm and which comprise an outer packaging of elongate design having a longitudinal extent which has a removal opening arranged at an end side.

[0003] In the case of packagings of this kind, the assignment of the wiper blade with the respective packaging is generally problematic. If a wiper blade is removed for examination, particularly of the fastening adapter, there is often confusion when a plurality of packagings have been opened, with the result that the labeling of the wiper blade type on the packaging no longer corresponds to the contents of the wiper blade packaging. This results in serious problems in terms of sales.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The wiper blade packaging according to the invention has the advantage that, in addition to the removal opening, a further opening is provided along the longitudinal extent in the region provided for the fastening adapter. In this way, the wiper blade no longer needs to be removed for examination of the fastening adapter.

[0005] It is particularly advantageous if the dimensions of the opening are selected such that connection of the fastening adapter to the wiper arm is possible through the opening. In this way, the wiper blade can remain in the outer packaging, while it is possible to check whether the fastening adapter corresponds to the wiper arm.

[0006] It is particularly advantageous if the outer packaging has four longitudinal sides with four longitudinal edges and the opening extends at least beyond one of the longitudinal edges. In this way, the fastening adapter is very easily accessible.

[0007] Furthermore, the accessibility of the fastening adapter is advantageously improved by virtue of the fact that the longitudinal extent of the opening is at least as long as, in particular 11/2 times as long as, the fastening adapter.

[0008] The wiper blade packaging advantageously continues to remain stable by virtue of the fact that the longitudinal extent of the opening is at most half the length, in particular at most 1/3 of the length, of the outer packaging.

[0009] Particularly good protection of the wiper blade is achieved by virtue of the fact that the opening of the wiper blade packaging is closed by way of a non-destructively openable closure, in particular a closure flap.

[0010] This can advantageously be realized in a simple and cost-effective manner by virtue of the fact that the closure is composed of the same material as the outer packaging, in particular cardboard.

[0011] A particularly good presentation advantageously arises by virtue of the fact that the closure is designed to be at least partially transparent.

[0012] The wiper blade packaging can advantageously be presented in a particularly space-saving manner by virtue of the fact that a fastening means for hanging up said packaging is provided at an end side.

[0013] A wiper blade according to the invention in a wiper blade packaging according to the invention has the advantage that it is supported in optimal fashion during the sales process.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0014] An exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing and elucidated in greater detail in the description below.

[0015] FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a wiper blade packaging according to the invention with a wiper blade.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0016] FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a wiper blade packaging 10 according to the invention with a wiper blade 12. The wiper blade 12 has a fastening adapter 14 which is used to fasten the wiper blade 12 to a wiper arm (not depicted here). The wiper blade 12 is packaged in an outer packaging 16. The outer packaging 16 is rectangular in cross section and of elongate design, such that it completely envelops the wiper blade 12. The cross-sectionally rectangular shape of the outer packaging 16 results in four longitudinal sides with four longitudinal edges 18 along a longitudinal extent (double-headed arrow 20) of the outer packaging 16. At the ends of the longitudinal extent, the packaging is closed off at end sides 22. A tab is arranged as fastening means 24 at one of the end sides 22, said tab being used to hang up the wiper blade packaging 10. That end side 22 which faces away from the fastening means 24 is designed to be openable, in order to be able to remove the wiper blade from the packaging. However, in one variation, that end side 22 which faces toward the fastening means 24 can also be designed to be openable. By opening the end side 22, a removal opening 23 is formed.

[0017] With regard to the longitudinal extent 20, an opening 26 is provided in the middle region. Said opening is precisely in that region in which the fastening adapter 14 of the wiper blade 12 is arranged. The opening 26 extends from one of the longitudinal sides of the outer packaging 16 to an adjacent longitudinal side, over a longitudinal edge 18. In one variation, the opening 26 can also be provided only on one longitudinal side.

[0018] The opening 26 can be closed again by way of a closure 28. Said closure 28 is in this case configured as a simple tab which is formed of the same material as, and also in one piece with, the outer packaging 16 made of cardboard. In this case, use can be made of both solid cardboard and corrugated cardboard. An insertion tab 30 which is used to firmly close the opening 26 is provided at the free end of the closure 28. The closure 28 therefore has a plurality of portions 29 which are each separated from one another by way of a fold point 32. In this case, the closure 28 always has two portions 29 more than the number of longitudinal edges 18 beyond which the opening 26 extends, or one portion 29 more than the number of longitudinal sides over which the opening 26 extends. The surplus portion 29 therefore forms the insertion tab 30 and is used for the closing operation, in which the surplus portion 29 is inserted into the outer packaging 16, and therefore a frictionally locking and/or positively locking connection to the rest of the outer packaging 16 is produced. In a further configuration according to the invention, the closure 28 is formed in such a way that, even in the closed state, the adapter 14 is visible. For this purpose, the closure is for example formed of a transparent material.
