structure of a hairbrush with the features of simple structure and
high reliability while achieve the effects of preventing the
bristle tufts from sinking, providing sufficient pull resistance to
the bristle tuft, and eliminating environmental (air) pollution
caused by the use of adhesive. According to the aforementioned
objectives, preferred embodiment, the structure and effects of the
present invention will be described together with related drawings
as follows.
[0031] With reference to FIGS. 2 to 8 for a bristle planting pad
structure of a hairbrush in accordance with the present invention,
the bristle planting pad structure with a bristle planting pad body
2 comprising a brush pad 21, a plurality of bristle tufts 22 and a
plurality of fasteners 23.
[0032] The brush pad 21 is a plate-like structure made of a
thermoplastic elastomer and comprises a plurality of accommodating
chambers 211 formed on an inner side of the plate-like structure
and spaced from one another, and each accommodating chamber 211
having an accommodating space 2111, and a collar 212 mounted around
the peripheral surface of the plate-like structure.
[0033] The bristle tuft 22 is comprised of a plurality of combing
bristles 221 and/or a nylon wool combing pin 222 with a folded
portion 223 at the bottom thereof. In other words, the bristle tuft
may be formed by a plurality of combing bristles 221 combined with
a nylon wool combing pin 222, or just a plurality of combing
bristles 221, or just a single nylon wool combing pin 222.
[0034] The fastener 23 is engaged and fixed to the folded portion
223 of the bristle tuft 22 and the accommodating space 2111 of the
accommodating chamber 211 of the brush pad 21, wherein the fastener
23 may be a metal plate or a metal wire loop.
[0035] In the manufacturing process of a bristle planting pad
structure of a hairbrush of the present invention, the folded
portion 223 at the bottom of the bristle tuft 22 together with the
fastener 23 are planted and fixed into the accommodating space 2111
of the accommodating chamber 211 of the brush pad 21 are stopped by
the bottom of the accommodating chamber 211, so that the bristle
tuft 22 will not sink in the process of combing hair. In the
meantime, the engaging and fixing effect produced at the folded
portion 223 at the bottom of the bristle tuft 22 by the fastener 23
and at the accommodating space 2111 of the accommodating chamber
211 of the brush pad 21 by the fastener 23 prevents the bristle
tuft 22 from being loosened during the process of combing hair and
provides sufficient pull resistance to the whole bristle tuft 22.
In a practical application of the bristle planting pad structure of
a hairbrush of the present invention, the fastener 23 engaged and
fixed to the folded portion 223 at the bottom of the bristle tuft
22 is a metal plate or a metal wire loop. For example, the metal
plate is a rectangular plate-like structure as shown in FIGS. 5 and
6, or an l-shaped metal wire loop with an open-end bottom which can
be staggered (as shown in FIG. 7), or a connected state
substantially in the staggered state as shown in FIG. 8), and both
of the aforementioned arrangements are appropriate but not limited
to either one.
[0036] It is noteworthy that the folded portion 223 at the bottom
of the bristle tuft 22 and the fastener 23 of the bristle planting
pad structure of a hairbrush the present invention are planted and
fixed into the accommodating space 2111 of the accommodating
chamber 211 of the brush pad 21 without using any woven fabric and
adhesive to adhere and fix the bristle tuft 22 with the brush pad
21 (as the conventional bristle planting pad of a hairbrush does),
and this innovative design can prevent the bristle tuft 22 from
sinking and provide the effect of sufficient pull resistance, while
eliminating environmental (air) pollution caused by the use of
adhesive.
[0037] To meet the requirements of softness, elasticity and
thickness of the brush pad 21, the bristle planting pad structure

the manufacturing process, and thus not only saving labor and
material costs, but also eliminating environmental (air) pollution
caused by the use of adhesive.
[0038] With reference to FIG. 10 for a bottom perspective of a
bristle planting pad structure of a hairbrush in accordance with
the present invention, the accommodating chamber 211 of the brush
pad 21 is exposed (which is no longer covered by an external
housing like the aforementioned embodiment), so that the bottom
(rear side) of the bristle planting pad is substantially in the
form of a granular skin to make the whole hairbrush look pleasing,
very distinctive and worthy.
[0039] Compared with the prior art, the bristle planting pad
structure of a hairbrush in accordance with the present invention
uses the stop effect of the bottom of the accommodating chamber of
the brush pad to prevent the whole bristle tuft from sinking during
the hair combing hair. In the meantime, the engaging and fixing
effect produced by the fastener to the accommodating space of the
brush pad and the folded portion at the bottom of the bristle tuft
prevents the whole bristle tuft from being loosened easily in the
hair combing process. In addition, a collar mounted around the
peripheral surface of the plate-like structure of the brush pad is
provided for enhancing the expansion strength of the whole brush
pad, so that the whole brush pad can be embedded and fixed to the
engaging groove of the brush base. In the whole manufacturing and
assembling process, no adhesive is used for fixing or adhesion, and
thus not saving labor and material costs only, but also preventing
environmental (air) pollution caused by the use of adhesive, and
providing a more secured and reliable structure of the whole
hairbrush.
