Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] This present application is related in general to the field
of products used by, an end user to create their own cigars,
cigarettes and/or other smoking articles and, more particularly, to
a rolling tray having a magnetic cover for forming smoking articles
and storing accessories for forming the smoking articles.
BACKGROUND
[0002] Smoking articles like cigarettes are generally manufactured
through an automated machine process. In general, tobacco leaves
may be pressed into cakes and mechanically shredded. Additives such
as fruit juices, menthol or other flavoring may be added to give
additional flavor to the tobacco leaves. The final shredded tobacco
mixture may then be dispersed over a continuous roil of cigarette
paper. A machine rolls the shredded tobacco into the paper and cuts
it to the desired length.
[0003] While the majority of smoking articles are produced through
automated processes, some people still prefer to make and roll
their own smoking articles. These people like to roll their own
smoking articles because of the control it may give them to select
the type of paper, tobacco, and size of the smoking article.
However, in order to roll smoking articles, users need a plurality
of different items. Items such as rolling paper, loose-leaf
tobacco, as well as other items need to be readily available.
Depending on the type of smoking article being rolled, other
accessories such as a loader, scoop, packing tool and the like may
be needed.
[0004] Another issue when rolling smoking articles is a lack of a
tray to hold the tobacco product when the smoker drops or scoops
tobacco in a rolling paper. In general, excess tobacco may be
spilled and/or removed from the rolling paper during the rolling
process, and without a tray or something similar to hold it, the
tobacco can be contaminated with foreign material from the nearby
surfaces, in other words, tobacco can be lost if the smoker does
not purposefully capture the excess while rolling the smoking
article. This contamination and loss of costly tobacco product is
unacceptable.
[0005] Therefore, it would be desirable to provide a system and
method that overcomes the above.
