Abstract

A method for applying multiple synthetic fan eyelashes to achieve a particular look is described herein. The method can comprise the steps of dividing an eyelid into zones, removing one of a plurality of volume extension lashes from a section on a lash case, and applying one of the volume extension lashes to a single natural lashes within the zone associated to the section. The zones can comprise an outer zone, a middle zone, an inner zone, and a corner zone. The section can be associated to the zones on the eyelids. At least a portion of the volume extension lashes within the outer zone can have a first length. The volume extension lashes on the middle zone can have a second length. The volume extension lashes on the inner zone can have a third length, and the volume extension lashes on the corner zone can have a fourth length.

Description

BACKGROUND

[0001] This disclosure relates to a method for applying multiple synthetic fan eyelashes to achieve a particular look.

[0002] Recently, eyelash extension that is being done by a professional lash technician has been popular around the world. One of the most common known methods is attaching a single synthetic eyelash extension onto each natural lashes of an individual. This method can be effective on individuals that already have a lot of natural eyelashes. However, individuals that have less natural lashes, sparse lashes, or bald spots who wanted more volume might not be satisfied with single synthetic eyelash extension. Moreover, this method can be time consuming. Thus, another method was developed to address such problem. This method involves attaching clustered synthetic eyelashes on multiple natural lashes. Clustered synthetic eyelashes comprise multiple lash strands attached together as a single fan. This method can add more volume to an individual's sparse lashes. However, such method can be bulky and heavy on the eyes. Additionally, since clustered synthetic eyelashes are attached on multiple lashes when natural lashes grow at different length, the tension from the cluster attached to natural lashes can cause premature lash loss. A more recent alternative to such method is using volume extension lash. This method comprises multiple synthetic lash strands, which can be attached to single natural lashes. Adding volume extension lash can be very effective but can be time consuming and inconvenient since professional technicians may need to get different sizes of multiple lash fans from differently sized lashes container to create a specific look.

[0003] As such it would be useful to have an improved method for applying multiple synthetic fan eyelashes to achieve a particular look.

SUMMARY

[0004] A method for applying multiple synthetic fan eyelashes to achieve a particular look is described herein. The method can comprise the steps of dividing an eyelid into zones, removing one of a plurality of volume extension lashes from a section on a lash case, and applying one of the volume extension lashes to a single natural lashes within the zone associated to the section. The zones can comprise an outer zone, a middle zone, an inner zone, and a corner zone. The corner zone can extend from the tear duct of an eye to an area near an iris. The inner zone can extend from the area near the iris to the iris. The middle zone can extend across the iris. The outer zone can extend from end of the iris until the end of the eyelid. The section can be associated to the zones on the eyelids. At least a portion of the volume extension lashes within the outer zone can have a first length. The volume extension lashes on the middle zone can have a second length. The volume extension lashes on the inner zone can have a third length, and the volume extension lashes on the corner zone can have a fourth length.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The following description is presented to enable any person skilled in the art to make and use the invention as claimed and is provided in the context of the particular examples discussed below, variations of which will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art. In the interest of clarity, not all features of an actual implementation are described in this specification. It will be appreciated that in the development of any such actual implementation (as in any development project), design decisions must be made to achieve the designers' specific goals (e.g., compliance with system- and business-related constraints), and that these goals will vary from one implementation to another. It will also be appreciated that such development effort might be complex and time-consuming, but would nevertheless be a routine undertaking for those of ordinary skill in the field of the appropriate art having the benefit of this disclosure. Each volume extension lashes 100 can be an individual lash extension that comprises a flat base 102 and a plurality of synthetic lash strands 103. As such, each volume extension lash 100 can be a multiple synthetic lash strand 103 that can be bonded together to create a fan. Each volume extension lash 100 or each extension fan can be classified according to the number of lash strands 103 that extend through base 102; i.e. 1D (single lash strand), 2D (2 lash strands 103 extensions per fan), 3D (3 lash strands 103 extensions per fan), 4D (4 lash strands 103 extensions per fan), 5D (5 lash strands 103 extensions per fan), and 6d (6 lash strands 103 extensions per fan). Furthermore, volume extension lashes 100 can be in various length, thickness, curl, and/or color. Lash case 101 can be a piece of material, such as a sheet, or a box that can hold volume extension lashes 100. Lash case 101 can comprise a description 104, and a plurality of sections 105. As such, lash case 101 can comprise a pre-determined set of volume extension lashes 100 that can create a particular look. Description 104 can describe the particular look that can be created by using volume extension lashes 100 on lash case 101. Further, the user can either request to apply extension lashes as a full set or to apply volume extension lashes as a refill set, discussed further below. Sections 105 can be associated to a specific zone of the user's eyelids. As such, section 105 can indicate where volume extension lashes 100 can be placed on the user's natural lash. Moreover, sections 105 can be arranged sequentially according to the eyelid portions (or zones). Each section 105 can comprise a strip 106. Strip 106 can be a piece of tape capable of holding volume extension lashes 100. In one embodiment, strip 106 can comprise tape adhesive on one or both sides. Strips 106 that are placed within the same section 105 can comprise same size and type of volume extension lashes 100.

The characteristics and/or description found in the consultation table can be description 104 of lash case 101. Description 104 can indicate a thickness 201, a style 202, and a size 203 of volume extension lashes 100. Thickness 201 can indicate the number of lash strands 103 is there on each base 102. In this embodiment, thickness 201 can either be classified as a "3D" 201a or a "6D" 201b. Description 104 that says "3D" 201a can mean that each volume extension lash 100 on lash case 101 can comprise three (3) lash strands 103 extensions per fan. As another example, lash case 101 with description 104 of "6D" 201b can mean that each volume extension lash 100 can comprise six (6) lash strands 103 extensions per fan. Style 202 can be used to describe the style of volume extension lashes 100 that is within lash case 101, such as "open" 202a or "flare" 202b. Open style 202a can create a "gorgeous, cute, natural" look while "Flare" style 202b can create a "sexy" look. Size 203 can indicate a specific length of volume extension lashes 100. Size 203 can be the length measurement of volume extension lashes 100 in millimeter (mm). Size 203 can vary from a small size 203a, a medium size 203b, a large size 203c, or an extra large size 203d. Size 203 can vary according to style 202. Further in one embodiment, the difference between sizes 203 for lash case 101 can be one millimeter. As an example, the longest volume extension lashes 100 on lash case 101 that can be in small size 203a, can be one-millimeter shorter than the longest volume extension lashes 100 on lash case 101 for medium size 203b. Additionally, the longest volume extension lashes 100 on lash case 101 that can be in small size 203a, can be two-millimeter shorter than the longest volume extension lashes 100 on lash case 101 for large size 203c. Lastly, the longest volume extension lashes 100 on lash case 101 that can be in small size 203a, can be three-millimeter shorter than the longest volume extension lashes 100 on lash case 101 for extra large size 203d. For example, a user that is going for a "3D Open Style" look can choose from small size 203a, medium size 203b, or large size 203c, while a user that chooses "6D Open Style" look can choose from small size 203a, medium size 203b, large size 203c, or extra large 203d. As a non-limiting example, if the user chooses medium size 203b for "3D Open Style" then the longest length for volume extension lashes 100 that can be applied to the user's natural lashes can be "12 mm". And, if the user chooses extra large size 203d for "6D-Open Style" then the longest length for volume extension lashes 100 that can be applied to the user's natural lashes can be "15 mm".

[0039] FIG. 3 illustrates how an eyelid 300 can be divided into four zones. Volume extension lashes 100 can be attached in different zones in order to create a particular look. Each volume extension lash 100 can be attached to a single natural eyelash of the user within the specified zones. In this embodiment, eyelid 300 can comprise a corner zone 301, an inner zone 302, a middle zone 303, and an outer zone 304. Corner zone 301 can be the area that is near the tear ducts of the eye. Corner zone 301 can extend from the tear ducts of the eye to an area near an iris of the eye. Inner zone 302 can be the area next to corner zone 301. Inner zone can extend near the iris of the eye to the iris. Inner zone 302 can be the portion connecting corner zone 301 and middle zone 303. Middle zone 303 can extend across the iris. Middle zone 303 can be the area connecting inner zone 302 and outer zone 304. Outer zone 304 can be the portion of eyelid 300 farther from the tear ducts. [0040] FIG. 4 illustrates a full set case 400 embodiment of lash case 101. Full set case 400 can be lash case 101 that comprises a full set of volume extension lashes 100. As a non-limiting embodiment, full set case 400 can comprise of 160 fans or 160 pieces of volume extension lashes 100. As such, 80 fans can be placed for each eye of the user. Full set case 400 can comprise eight strips 106 of volume extension lashes 100. First time user's that are initially requesting for an eyelash extension can use full set case 400. Moreover, full set case 400 can be used to a returning user that has not had a refill or has not returned for any extension service for more than 30 days. Additionally, user can get full set case 400 if user wants more volume fans added onto her natural lash. Such user may want more volume fans added than what is offered in a refill set case 400. Each section 105 can comprise a zone label 401, and a length label 402. Zone label 401 can be a label that indicates the area where volume extension lashes 100 can be placed on the user's natural eyelash. As an example embodiment shown in FIG. 4, zone label 401 can be represented as "C", "I", "M", and/or "O", which identifies each section 105. In such embodiment, volume extension lashes 100 within a "C" section 105a can be placed within corner zone 301, while volume extension lashes 100 within an "I" section 105b can be placed within inner zone 302. Additionally, volume extension lashes 100 within a plurality of "M" sections 105c can be placed within middle zone 303. Lastly, volume extension lashes 100 within an "O" section 105d can be placed within outer zone 304. Further, "C" section 105a can comprise the shortest volume extension lashes 100 within lash case 101, while "M" section 105c can comprise the longest volume extension lashes 100 within lash case 101. Size label 402 can indicate the length of each volume extension lash 100 within each section 105. As a non-limiting example shown in FIG. 4, "C" section 105a can comprise of volume extension lashes 100 that can be eleven-millimeter in length, "I" section 105b can comprise of extension lashes 100 that can be twelve-millimeter in length, "M" sections 105c can comprise of volume extension lashes 100 that can be thirteen-millimeter in length, while "O" section 105d can comprise of volume extension lashes 100 that can be twelve-millimeter in length.

Further, users who already used full set case 400 but still want to refill their natural lashes to add more volume can use refill set case 500. The user can use refill set case 500 after 3-4 weeks of using full set case 500. Moreover, users who want to replace volume extension lashes 100 that have grown too far away from the lash line can use refill set case 500. As a non-limiting example shown in FIG. 5, each group 501 can comprise the following: "C" section 105a comprising of volume extension lashes 100 that can be eleven-millimeter (mm) in length, "I" section 105b comprising of extension lashes 100 that can be twelve-millimeter in length, "M" sections 105c comprising of volume extension lashes 100 that can be thirteen-millimeter in length, while "O" section 105d comprising of volume extension lashes 100 that can be twelve-millimeter in length.

Claims

1. A method of applying volume extension lashes to achieve a particular look comprising the steps of dividing an eyelid into zones, said zones comprising an outer zone, a middle zone, an inner zone, and a corner zone, said corner zone extends from the tear duct of an eye to an area near an iris, said inner zone extends from the area near said iris to said iris, middle zone extends across said iris, outer zone extends from end of said iris until the end of said eyelid; removing one of a plurality of volume extension lashes from a section on a lash case, said section can be associated to said zones on said eyelids; and applying one of said volume extension lashes to a single natural lashes within said zone associated to said section, at least a portion of said volume extension lashes within said outer zone having a first length, said volume extension lashes on said middle zone having a second length, said volume extension lashes on said inner zone having a third length, and said volume extension lashes on said corner zone having a fourth length.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein said first length, said third length, and said fourth length are the same, and said second length is one-millimeter longer than said first length.

3. The method of claim 2 wherein said first length is ten-millimeters, and said second length is eleven millimeters.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein said first length and said third length are the same, said second length is one-millimeter longer than said first length, and said fourth length is one-millimeter shorter than said first length.

5. The method of claim 4 wherein said first length is eleven-millimeters, said second length is twelve-millimeters, and said fourth length is ten-millimeters.

6. The method of claim 4 wherein said first length is twelve-millimeters, said second length is thirteen-millimeters, and said fourth length is eleven-millimeters.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein said first length is two-millimeters longer than said second length, said second length and said fourth length are the same.

8. The method of claim 7 wherein said first length is twelve-millimeters, and said second length is 10-millimeters.

9. The method of claim 1 wherein said first length is two-millimeters longer than said second length, said second length is one-millimeter longer than said fourth length.

10. The method of claim 9 wherein said first length is thirteen-millimeters, said second length is eleven-millimeters, and said fourth length is 10-millimeters
