DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0010] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a triple layered eyelash. As discussed above, false eyelashes are used by many women to enhance a look or appearance of the eyes. False eyelashes can be made from a variety of different methods and materials. Typically, the materials are knotted together in groups of fibers to create the false eyelashes. However, some designs and styles are difficult to create from a single row of knotted groups of fibers. Creating unique designs with a single row of lashes may be difficult as the amount of space and the amount of variation can be limited.

[0011] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a false eyelash that uses multiple layers to create various different styles of eyelashes. As a result, hundreds and thousands of new designs can be created by combining multiple different styles of false eyelashes. The layers may each have different types of lashes that provide a natural look.

[0012] FIG. 1 illustrates a top view of an example of a triple layered eyelash 100. As will be discussed in further detail below and illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 3, the triple layered eyelash 100 comprises a plurality of different layers of lashes. Each layer has a pattern of lashes that are different than the other layers. Each layer also has lashes that have a different diameter, a different length and a different amount of curl than the other layers. The combination of the multiple layers creates a unique false eyelash that looks more glamorous and fuller than existing false eyelash designs.

[0013] FIG. 2 illustrates a cross-sectional side view of the triple layered eyelash 100. It should be noted that FIG. 2 may not be drawn to scale and enlarged to illustrate various features or details. In one embodiment, the triple layered eyelash 100 may include an eyelash layer 202, an eyelash layer 204 and an eyelash layer 206. In one embodiment, the eyelash layer 202 and the eyelash layer 204 may be separated by a predefined distance 208. The eyelash layer 204 and the eyelash layer 206 may be separated by a predefined distance 210.

[0014] In one embodiment, the predefined distance 208 and the predefined distance 210 may be the same or may be different. In one embodiment, the predefined distance 208 and the predefined distance 210 may be an average of the distances between the lashes in each layer across a width of the entire triple layered eyelash 100. In one embodiment, the predefined distance 208 may be a few millimeters (mm) (e.g., approximately 1-3 mm). In one embodiment, the predefined distance 210 may also be a few millimeters (e.g., approximately 1-3 mm). The separation between the eyelash layers 202, 204, and 206 may provide a unique look when viewing the front of the triple layered eyelash 100.

[0015] In one embodiment, the eyelash layer 202, the eyelash layer 204 and the eyelash layer 206 may be combined to form a relatively low profile eyelash. In other words, the overall height or thickness 212 of the triple layered eyelash 100 at a base that connects to a human eyelid may be a few millimeters (e.g., 2-6 mm).

[0016] The combined effect of the eyelash layer 202, the eyelash layer 204 and the eyelash layer 206 may be to form a stacked effect that provides a voluminous look. The triple layered eyelash 100 may appear more lavish and dense, while maintaining a natural look due to the different lash thicknesses, lengths, patterns of each eyelash layer 202, 204 and 206, as discussed below and illustrated in FIG. 3.

[0017] FIG. 3 illustrates an exploded top view of the triple layered eyelash 100. It should be noted that although FIG. 3 illustrates the eyelash layer 206, followed by the eyelash layer 204 and the eyelash layer 202, the triple layered eyelash 100 may be assembled in any order. For example, the eyelash layer 202 may be followed by the eyelash layer 204 and the eyelash layer 202 depending on a desired overall appearance of the triple layered eyelash 100.

[0018] It should also be noted that each eyelash layer 202, 204 and 206 has been simplified for ease of explanation. For example, single lashes are shown in particular patterns, but it should be noted that each segment of the pattern may include multiple lashes for each eyelash layer 202, 204 or 206.

[0019] In one embodiment, the eyelash layer 206 may comprises a plurality of lashes 304.sub.1 to 304.sub.n (also referred to herein individually as a lash 304 or collectively as lashes 304). Each lash 304 may have a diameter 306, an amount of curvature 308, and a length 310 as shown in enlarged view. The diameter 306 may be measured as the widest cross-sectional portion of the lash 304, as shown in FIG. 3. For example, each lash 304 may be tapered to a point. Thus, the diameter 306 may vary along the length 310 of the lash 304. Thus, the diameter 306 may be measured the widest cross-sectional portion of the lash 304, e.g., the base of the lash 304.

[0020] In one embodiment, the amount of curvature 308 may be measured based on a radius of a circle formed by the curvature. In other words, the amount of curvature 308 may be equivalent to the radius of curvature as shown in the enlarged view of the individual lash 304.

[0021] In one embodiment, the lashes 304 of the eyelash layer 206 may have the smallest diameter, the most amount of curvature and the shortest length. For example, the diameter 306 of the lashes 304 may be approximately 0.05 mm-0.07 mm. The length 310 may be a few millimeters (e.g., approximately 1-2 mm).

[0022] In one embodiment, the lashes 304 may be arranged in a repeating "V" shaped pattern. For example, the lashes 304 may be grouped in segments that form a "V" shape, and the pattern may be repeated across a width of the eyelash layer 206.

[0023] In one embodiment, the eyelash layer 204 may comprises a plurality of lashes 314.sub.1 to 314.sub.m (also referred to herein individually as a lash 314 or collectively as lashes 314). Each lash 314 may have a diameter 316, an amount of curvature 318, and a length 320 as shown in the enlarged view. The diameter 316 and the amount of curvature 318 may be measured similar to the diameter 306 and the amount of curvature 308, as discussed above.

[0024] In one embodiment, the lashes 314 of the eyelash layer 204 may have a diameter distance, or value, that is between the diameter 306 of the lash 304 and a diameter 326 of a lash 324, discussed below. The lashes 314 of the eyelash layer 204 may also have an amount of curvature that is between the amount of curvature 308 and an amount of curvature 328 and a length that is between the length 308 and a length 330. For example, the diameter 316 of the lashes 314 may be approximately 0.07 mm to 0.10 mm. The length 320 may be a few millimeters (e.g., approximately 3-4 mm).

[0025] In one embodiment, the lashes 314 may be arranged in a repeating "V" shaped pattern. For example, the lashes 314 may be grouped in segments that form a "V" shape, and the pattern may be repeated across a width of the eyelash layer 204.

[0026] In one embodiment, the eyelash layer 204 and the eyelash layer 206 may be combined such that the respective "V" patterns are offset from one another. In other words, the lashes 304 of the eyelash layer 206 may appear to crisscross with the lashes 314 of the eyelash layer 204.

[0027] In one embodiment, the eyelash layer 202 may comprises a plurality of lashes 324.sub.1 to 324.sub.0 (also referred to herein individually as a lash 324 or collectively as lashes 324). Each lash 324 may have a diameter 326, an amount of curvature 328, and a length 330 as shown in the enlarged view. The diameter 326 and the amount of curvature 328 may be measured similar to the diameter 306 and the amount of curvature 308, as discussed above.

[0028] In one embodiment, the lashes 324 of the eyelash layer 202 may have the largest diameter, the least amount of curvature and the longest length. For example, the diameter 326 of the lashes 324 may be approximately 0.10 mm to 0.12 mm. The length 330 may be a few millimeters (e.g., approximately 5-6 mm).

[0029] In one embodiment, the lashes 324 may be arranged in a repeating "W" shaped pattern. For example, the lashes 324 may be grouped in segments that have some lashes 324 angled outwards from a center group of lashes 324 that form a "W" shape, and the pattern may be repeated across a width of the eyelash layer 202.

[0030] Notably, each eyelash layer 206, 204, and 202 has respective lashes 304, 314, and 324 that have the same diameter, same amount of curl, and the same length for each respective eyelash layer 206, 204, and 202. For example, the lashes 304 of the eyelash layer 206 have the same diameter, same amount of curl, and the same length, the lashes 306 of the eyelash layer 204 have the same diameter, same amount of curl, and the same length, and so forth.

[0031] In addition, the lashes 304, 314, and 324 of each eyelash layer 206, 204, and 202 have different diameters, different amounts of curl, and different lengths compared to each other. For example, the diameter, the amount of curl, and the length of the lashes 304 are different than the diameter, the amount of curl, and the length of lashes 314 and 324, the diameter, the amount of curl, and the length of the lashes 314 are different than the diameter, the amount of curl, and the length of the lashes 304 and 324, and so forth.

[0032] The pattern of each respective eyelash layer 202, 204 and 206 may be combined to form a desired overall pattern of the triple layered eyelash 100. Although a single example pattern is illustrated in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3, it should be noted that modifying the pattern of each respective eyelash layer 202, 204 and 206 may create a variety of different desired overall patterns for the triple layered eyelash 100.

[0033] Thus, the embodiments of the present disclosure provide a false eyelash that uses a triple layered look having a particular pattern and dimensions for each eyelash layer. The false eyelash of the present disclosure provides a unique look that is more glamorous and fuller than existing false eyelash designs.

[0034] While various embodiments have been described above, it should be understood that they have been presented by way of example only, and not limitation. Thus, the breadth and scope of a preferred embodiment should not be limited by any of the above-described exemplary embodiments, but should be defined only in accordance with the following claims and their equivalents.
