CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This is a non-provisional application of U.S. Provisional Application No. 62/484,788, filed Apr. 12, 2017, the entirety of which is incorporated herein by reference.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to eyelash extensions and, more particularly, to a method for applying eyelash extensions to a user's natural eyelashes by multiple technicians.

(2) Description of Related Art

[0003] Synthetic eyelash extensions have long been known in the art. Such synthetic eyelash extensions are adhered to a user's natural eyelashes to provide a more full look and enhance the user's appearance. Traditionally, such synthetic eyelash extensions are applied by a single technician. This is important as the single technician is a master of their own technique and, as a result, capable of applying the eyelash extensions evenly between both eyes. A problem with using a single eyelash technician however results in inefficiencies due to the need to only apply lashes to a single eye at a time.

[0004] Thus, a continuing need exists for a method for applying eyelash extensions to a user's natural eyelashes by multiple technicians to decrease the application processing time

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

[0005] The present invention relates to eyelash extensions and, more particularly, to a method for applying eyelash extensions to a user's natural eyelashes by multiple technicians. Specifically, the method includes accts of attaching, by a first eyelash technician, one or more eyelash extensions to a subject's natural lashes at a first eye of the subject; and attaching, by a second eyelash technician, one or more eyelash extensions to the subject's natural lashes at a second eye of the subject.

[0006] In another aspect, in attaching the first and second eyelash extensions, each of the first and second eyelash technicians are positioned on opposite sides of the subject.

[0007] In another aspect, in attaching the first and second eyelash extensions, each of the first and second eyelash technicians are positioned substantially symmetrically on opposite sides of the subject.

[0008] Finally, as can be appreciated by one in the art, the present invention also comprises a method for forming and using the invention described herein.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] The objects, features and advantages of the present invention will be apparent from the following detailed descriptions of the various aspects of the invention in conjunction with reference to the following drawings, where:

[0010] FIG. 1 is a top-down illustration depicting two eyelash extension technicians positioned proximate a subject during the eyelash extension application process; and

(1) Description

[0017] The present invention relates to eyelash extensions and, more particularly, to a method for applying eyelash extensions to a user's natural eyelashes by multiple technicians. As shown in FIG. 1, this invention is directed to a method for applying eyelash extensions in which two or more technicians 100 and 100' are working simultaneously on a single subject 102. Desirably, one eyelash technician 100 or 100' is assigned to each eye 104 or 104', such that each eyelash technician 100 and 100' is working on a single eye 104 or 104' at the same time as the other eyelash technician 100 or 100'. This way the subject 102 is able to proceed through the eyelash extension process in approximately half the time since two technicians 100 and 100' are working simultaneously.

[0018] The method of using two technicians 100 and 100' to applying eyelashes simultaneously can be applied to any eyelash extension application method in which eyelash extensions are applied to the subject's 102 both eyes 104 and 104'. As a non-limiting example, U.S. Pat. No. 7,600,519 (the '519 patent), entitled, "Eyelash Extensions and Method for Applying Eyelash Extensions," (which is incorporated herein by reference) discloses a process by which eyelash extensions are applied to both of the user's eyes. The method described herein can be applied to the method of the '519 patent or any other eyelash extension application method. For example regarding the '519 patent, one technician 100 would perform the described steps as directed to one eye 104 (including taping up, taping down, applying extensions, cleaning, etc.), while another technician 100' would perform all the steps as directed to the other eye 104' including taping up, taping down, applying extensions, cleaning, etc.). In other words, using the invention of this disclosure, one technician 100 applies eyelash extensions to the natural lashes of one eye 104 while the other technician 100' applies eyelash extensions to the natural lashes of the other eye 104', thereby decreasing application times and increasing efficiencies. To assist in each eye resulting in a similar appearance, it is desirable (although not required) that the eyelash technicians 100 and 100' train and practice together so that both eyes 104 and 104' are even. Nevertheless and as can be appreciated by those skilled in the art, the present invention can be used with any method in which eyelash extensions are applied to the user's 102 natural eyelashes so long as two technicians 100 and 100' are used in the process as described above or in the particular application process as desired. Further, it should be noted that the technicians 100 and 100' can be positioned at any suitable location proximate the subject 102. In one example embodiment, the technicians 100 and 100' are positioned symmetrically on opposite sides of the subject 102 (as shown in the top-down view of FIG. 1). In other example embodiments and as shown in FIG. 2, one technician 100 is positioned above the subject's 102 head while the other technician 100' is positioned to the side of the subject 102. Thus and as noted above, the two technicians 100 and 100' can be positioned at any suitable location during the eyelash extension process.

[0019] Finally, while this invention has been described in terms of several embodiments, one of ordinary skill in the art will readily recognize that the invention may have other applications in other environments. It should be noted that many embodiments and implementations are possible. Further, the following claims are in no way intended to limit the scope of the present invention to the specific embodiments described above. In addition, any recitation of "means for" is intended to evoke a means-plus-function reading of an element and a claim, whereas, any elements that do not specifically use the recitation "means for", are not intended to be read as means-plus-function elements, even if the claim otherwise includes the word "means". Further, while particular method steps have been recited in a particular order, the method steps may occur in any desired order and fall within the scope of the present invention
