Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This application claims priority to Korean Patent Application No. 20-2016-0006537, filed on Nov. 9, 2016 in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference.

BACKGROUND

1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present disclosure relates to a silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing and more particularly to a silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing which is entirely made of silicone and has a protrusion-type scrub brush which is made of silicone and integrated with the glove into a single piece on the area of the palm and the bottom surface of the fingers.

2. Description of the Background Art

[0003] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an existing rubber glove as seen from the back of the hand side. In general, during dishwashing, rubber gloves made of rubber to be waterproof as illustrated in FIG. 1 are used in order to protect the hands from cold water or detergents.

[0004] However, it is not easy to wear such rubber gloves because they don't have high elasticity. In addition, when a user wears such rubber gloves, they adhere tightly to the skin of the user, thereby prohibiting ventilation and collecting sweat or moisture, giving out an unpleasant smell or bring about skin disorders such as eczema, which explains their problems.

[0005] When the user gets sweat or moisture after wearing such rubber gloves, it is difficult to take off the rubber gloves because the inner surface of the rubber gloves adheres to the skin of the user and is not easily peeled off. For storing such rubber gloves, it is usual for the user to hang such rubber gloves by clamping them with clothespins or lay them around the sink. However, in such a case, the user can feel unpleasant when they wear such rubber gloves again because the inner part of the rubber gloves is not adequately dried easily.

[0006] In addition, it is difficult to wash oily pots or dishes with hot water even user wears such rubber gloves for dishwashing because the rubber gloves lack heat resistance and transfer heat rapidly, although such oily pots or dishes lose oil easily when they are washed with hot water.

[0007] When dishwashing, the user of such rubber gloves simultaneously uses a scrub brush made of sponge or felt, in which micropores are formed to produce detergent lather easily.

[0008] The user feels awkward in washing their kitchenware when they wear such rubber gloves holding the kitchenware with one hand and picking up and putting down the scrub brush infiltrated with a detergent with the other hand. The user is more likely to drop the kitchenware, especially when the kitchenware has a slippery surface, when the rubber glove is smeared with the detergent. Moreover, it is hard to wash any narrow or angled area of dishes with the scrub brush because such scrub brush is produced in a size that one can grab with their hand.

[0009] Although rubber gloves have been developed for which a sponge and others that can act as a scrub brush is attached to the area of the palm of existing rubber gloves, they involve a problem that the life of the rubber glove is reduced due to the poor durability of such sponge and others that act as a scrub brush.

[0010] Furthermore, because the scrub brush made of sponge or felt has micropores, into which food scraps are easily stuck and from which the scraps don't easily come out when the scrub brush is used for dishwashing. In addition, bacteria easily propagate on such a scrub brush because the scrub brush is usually stored wet at room temperature. Such a scrub brush is also likely to be damaged when they are simmered in boiling water for sterilization because they are vulnerable to heat while they can leave any chemical on washed kitchenware when they are disinfected in a chemical agent such as bleach.

SUMMARY

[0012] To resolve or improve the problems of existing rubber gloves as earlier described, the present disclosure provides the silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing which is entirely made of silicone and has the protrusion-type scrub brush which is made of silicone and integrated with the glove into a single piece on the area of the palm and the bottom surface of the fingers.

[0013] The silicone scrub brush glove of the present disclosure includes:

a glove part 10 which has the shape of an ordinary rubber glove for dishwashing; and the protrusion-type scrub brush 20 integrated with the glove into a single piece on the area of the palm and the bottom surface of the fingers of the glove part, wherein the glove part 10 and the protrusion-type scrub brush 20 are entirely made of silicone; a plurality of protrusions 30 of the protrusion-type scrub brush 20 protrude from the outer surface of the palm and the bottom surface side of the fingers of the glove part 10 and have the shape of a cylinder; and the cylindrical protrusion 30 has in the longitudinal direction a plurality of linear protruding parts 31 which are fine and long like a line.

[0014] The cylindrical protrusion 32 formed on the palm area of the glove part 10 is harder than the cylindrical protrusion 33 formed on the bottom surface of the fingers.

[0015] In addition, the cylindrical protrusion 32 formed on the palm area of the glove part 10 has a larger height than that of the cylindrical protrusion 33 formed on the bottom surface of the fingers.

[0016] The cylindrical protrusion 32, 33 formed on the palm area of the glove part and the bottom surface of the fingers has a height of 4 to 6 mm and 2 to 3 mm, respectively, while the cylindrical protrusions 32, 33 have a diameter of 0.8 to 1.2 mm.

[0017] The inner surface of the glove part 10 has a plurality of hemispheric protrusions 40 on a surface which comes into contact with the upper surface of the fingers and the back of the hand.

[0018] The inner surface of the glove part 10 additionally has the hemispheric protrusions 40 on a surface which comes into contact with bottom surface of the fingers and the palm.

[0019] The glove part 10 has a hole 50 and/or a hook 60 in the top end portion which comes into contact with the upper surface of the forearm.

[0020] Silicone is known for its softness, high elasticity and heat resistance. The silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing provided by the present disclosure is convenient to wear because the whole of the glove and the protrusion-type scrub brush integrated with the glove into a single piece are made of silicone, does not scratch coated pots or frypans on the surface during dishwashing, is easy to wash dishes with hot water and can be sterilized at high temperature in boiling water or a microwave oven, which explains its advantageous effects.

[0021] The inner surface of the silicone scrub brush glove according to the present disclosure has the hemispheric protrusions, which keeps the glove for dishwashing from adhering to the skin, holds air inside the glove for dishwashing, thereby collecting less moisture and making the glove being taken off more easily, and dries the inside of the glove for dishwashing easily while the glove is stored.

[0022] The silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing according to the present disclosure has an advantageous effect of convenient dishwashing without the need of separately using a scrub brush in dishwashing by having the glove for dishwashing and the protrusion-type scrub brush integrated with each other into a single piece.

[0023] The silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing according to the present disclosure has the protrusion-type scrub brush formed not only on the palm but on the bottom surface of the fingers, thereby having advantageous effects of keeping the glove for dishwashing, even when the glove is smeared with a detergent, from sliding on the slippery surface of kitchenware and of easily washing even a narrow or angled area of dishes to which the hand can hardly reach.

[0024] The scrub brush of the silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing according to the present disclosure is formed to be protrusion-type while the protrusion has the linear protruding parts 31 which are fine and long like a line in the longitudinal direction, wherein the protrusion has an advantageous effect of adequately producing detergent lather compared with a protrusion without the linear protruding parts 31 by holding the detergent for a long period between the outer surface of the protrusion and the linear protruding parts 31.

[0025] Because the scrub brush of the silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing according to the present disclosure is formed to be protrusion-type without micropores, the scrub brush glove has advantageous effects of not easily holding food scraps during dishwashing, easily letting any food scraps come out even when such scraps are stuck and preventing bacteria from propagating due to easy drying after dishwashing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0026] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an existing rubber glove as seen from the back of the hand side;

[0027] FIG. 2 is a top view of the silicone scrub brush glove according to the present disclosure as seen from the palm side; and

[0028] FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the silicone scrub brush glove according to the present disclosure as seen from the back side.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC EMBODIMENTS

[0029] The present disclosure will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawing.

[0030] FIG. 2 is a top view of the silicone scrub brush glove according to the present disclosure as seen from the palm side and FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the silicone scrub brush glove according to the present disclosure as seen from the back of the hand side.

[0031] The silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing 100 according to the present disclosure includes the glove part 10 which has the shape of an ordinary rubber glove for dishwashing and the protrusion-type scrub brush 20 integrated with the glove into a single piece on the area of the palm and the bottom surface of the fingers of the glove part, wherein the glove part 10 and the protrusion-type scrub brush 20 are entirely made of silicone.

[0032] The protrusions 30 of the protrusion-type scrub brush 20 protrude from the outer surface of the palm and the bottom surface side of the fingers of the glove part 10 and have the shape of a cylinder while the cylindrical protrusion 30 has the linear protruding parts 31 (not illustrated) which are fine and long like a line in the longitudinal direction, which produces adequate detergent lather compared with a protrusion without the linear protruding parts 31 by holding the detergent for a long period between the outer surface of the protrusion 30 and the linear protruding parts 31, thereby saving detergent and performing dishwashing effectively.

[0033] The cylindrical protrusion 32 formed on the palm area of the glove part 10 can be harder than the cylindrical protrusion 33 formed on the bottom surface of the fingers and have a larger height.

[0034] It is desirable that the cylindrical protrusion 32, 33 formed on the palm area of the glove part and the bottom surface of the fingers has a height of 4 to 6 mm and 2 to 3 mm, respectively, while the cylindrical protrusions 32, 33 have a diameter of 0.8 to 1.2 mm.

[0035] When the cylindrical protrusion 32, 33 has a height smaller than the said height, the protrusion falls short of the expected performance of the scrub brush in that the protrusion 32, 33 has an excessively small portion that protrudes from the outer surface of the glove 10 when used. In contrast, when they have a height larger than the said height, the protrusion 32, 33 tilts to a side when used, which also reduces the performance of the scrub brush. A diameter of the cylindrical protrusion 32, 33 smaller than 0.8 mm is excessively fine while one larger than 1.2 mm is excessively coarse, which is not desirable for the due performance of the scrub brush.

[0036] The glove part 10 can have on the inner surface the hemispheric protrusions 40. The hemispheric protrusions 40 can be formed on the surface which comes into contact with the upper surface of the fingers and the back of the hand and additionally on the surface which comes into contact with the bottom surface of the fingers and the palm. Accordingly, the hemispheric protrusions can keep the glove for dishwashing 100 from adhering to the skin, hold air inside the glove for dishwashing, thereby collecting less moisture and making the glove being taken off more easily, and dry the inside of the glove for dishwashing 100 easily while the glove is stored.

[0037] To resolve the problem of inconvenience in storing existing rubber glove, the hole 50 and/or the hook 60 can be formed in the glove part 10 in the top end portion which comes into contact with the upper surface of the forearm and the user can hang the glove for dishwashing 100 up on a hanger and others around the sink by using the hole 50 or the hook 60.

[0038] The glove for dishwashing has been described thus far. However, the silicone scrub brush glove for dishwashing according to the present disclosure can be used in laundry, bathroom cleaning and others.
