Resistance Strap

Abstract

A Resistance Strap fabricated of webbing material and the placement of two ends attached to exercise equipment. An adjustable strap that is fully extended when the user does an isometric, concentric or eccentric movement exercise and combines added weight selected by user from an exercise machine or apparatus, which the invention can be adapted to. The user will incorporate different muscle fibers in the same motion or movement when using resistance strap mentioned.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to exercise or workout apparatuses. Particularly, the present invention is in the field of resistance based training allowing the user to use apparatus in multiple exercise equipment and the selection of desired resistance with the use of one resistance strap.

[0002] Conventional exercise bands only work with resistance created by the band itself. In order to create a difference in resistance, the additional use of bands with higher or lower resistance need to be used. Transporting numerous bands makes it harder to carry because of the amount of bands needed to acquire desired resistance. The Resistance Strap is used across a complete spectrum of exercises. Typically when exercising, weight is added or removed along with repetitions for the use of different muscle fibers, making workouts to last longer. Incorporating mentioned invention Resistance Strap to any exercise, will allow user the benefit of stimulating multiple muscle fibers in a single movement. This in contrast, allows user to exercise more efficiently in a shorter period of time. Studies show resistance training has a positive effect on bone mineral density. Research demonstrates that resistance training or therapy, has effects on the musculoskeletal system and contributes to the maintenance of functional abilities, and prevents osteoporosis.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] This summary provides aspects of the present invention as a Resistance Strap which provides resistance on an isometric, concentric and/or eccentric movement.

[0004] The present invention is a band or strap form apparatus with the capability of allowing different resistance to be used with the use of one strap.

[0005] The apparatus is made of webbing material which includes a cam buckle, steel ring and a detent pin of different diameters to allow the use of it in numerous exercise machines or equipment.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

[0006] FIG. 1 is the view of the Resistance Strap of the present invention.

[0007] Referring to drawing of the invention and components and materials listed in FIG. 1 are, (1) cam buckle, (2) webbing strap, (3) O-ring, (4) detent pin and (5) O-ring.

[0008] FIG. 2 is an assembled view of FIG. 1

[0009] Referring now to the invention in more detail, in FIG. 1 to FIG. 2, there is shown a Resistance Strap in where (2), is attached to (1), by sewing or stitching. (3), is looped thru (2). (4) And (5) assembly is looped into (2).

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0010] In further detail, still referring to FIG. 1 to FIG. 2, the Resistance Strap (2), is attached to (1), by sewing or stitching it together with the use of a strong nylon thread or any durable material for stitching. (5), is looped to (4), creating a keyring or attachment in the like to (4). The assembly of (4) and (5) is looped to (2) and (1) by inserting (2) thru (5). (3) Are looped thru (2) and (1).

[0011] The construction details of the invention as shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 2, is the Resistance, Strap in where (2), can be from 0.250 inches to 120.0 inches in length and the width from 0.250 inches to 6.0 inches, can be made of leather, Flat Nylon, Tubular Nylon, Lightweight Polypropylene, Heavyweight Polypropylene, Polyester, Patterned Polyester, Picture Quality Polyester, Tubular Polyester, Seat Belt, Ribbon, or any durable material alike and different variety of colors. Cam buckle (1) manufactured of durable material such as metal, aluminum, stainless steel, plastic and any like material and varies in sizes from 0.500 inches to 3.0 inches and different variety of colors. O-ring (3) manufactured of durable material such as metal, stainless steel, plastic and any like material varies in size from 0.250 inches to 3.0 inches in diameter and a width of 0.03125 to 1.0 thick and different varieties of colors. O-ring (5) manufactured of durable material such as metal, stainless steel, plastic and any like material varies in size from 0.250 inches to 3.0 inches in diameter and a width of 0.03125 to 1.0 thick and different varieties of colors. Detent pin (4) made of multiple diameters from 0.125 inches to 1.0 inches and manufactured of durable material such as metal, stainless steel, plastic and any like material and different variety of colors.

[0012] Referring now to the invention shown in FIG. 2, there is shown an assembled Resistance Strap (2), having a cam buckle (1), sewn to (2). Assembly can create a closed loop for the apparatus. O-ring (3) and O-ring (5) are looped thru with the Resistance Strap (2). O-ring (5) is attached to detent pin (4) creating an assembled piece.

[0013] The present invention is a belt-shaped design that allows the ease of desired length. This also allows for the present invention to make adjustments in desired length for the use of any person, exercise equipment, apparatus or machine.

[0014] Another aspect of Resistance Strap is the added weight that can be incorporated into the same movement when Resistance Strap is extended between the two connecting points.

[0015] The advantages of the present invention include, without limitation, the ease of transportation. The use of one strap instead of the use of multiple resistance bands which can create a clutter and can become tangled making it difficult to access rapidly when needed.

[0016] The present invention is small enough so that it can be easily transported in a purse, athletic bag, luggage, diaper bag, and the like.

[0017] The present invention can be incorporated in any exercise equipment.

[0018] The present invention is reusable and therefore eliminates the wasting of natural resources.

[0019] Although this invention has been shown and described with respect to the detailed embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those of skill in the art that various changes may be made and equivalents may be substituted for elements thereof without departing from the scope of the invention. In addition, modifications may be made to adapt a particular situation or material to the teachings of the invention without departing from the essential scope thereof. Therefore, it is intended that the invention not be limited to the particular embodiments disclosed in the above detailed description, but that the invention will include all embodiments falling within the scope of the following claims.
