SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

[0002] An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a plurality of sections. The plurality of sections includes a plurality of associated pairs of the sections. Each of the associated pairs of sections is removably coupled together such that each of the associated pairs of sections forms an associated one of a plurality of molds. Each of the molds may be filled with snow thereby facilitating the snow to be shaped into a sphere. Each of the molds has a unique size with respect to each other such that each of the molds facilitates building a snowman.

[0003] There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

[0004] The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0005] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0006] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a mold assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0007] FIG. 2 is a back view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0008] FIG. 3 is a front view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0009] FIG. 4 is a cross sectional view taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 3 of an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0010] FIG. 5 is a top perspective view of snowman created with an embodiment of the disclosure.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0011] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new mold device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

[0012] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the mold assembly 10 generally comprises a plurality of sections 12 and the plurality of sections 12 includes a plurality of associated pairs of the sections 14. Each of the associated pairs of sections 14 is removably coupled together such that each of the associated pairs of sections 14 forms an associated one of a plurality of molds 16. Each of the molds 16 may be filled with snow 18 thereby facilitating the snow 18 to be shaped into a sphere. Each of the molds 18 has a unique size with respect to each other such that each of the molds 18 facilitates building a snowman 20.

[0013] Each of the sections 12 comprises a wall 22 that has an outer surface 24 and a peripheral edge 26. The peripheral edge 26 has a top side 28, a first mating side 30 and a second mating side 32. The wall 22 is curved between the first mating side 30 and the second mating side 32 such that the wall 22 forms a hemisphere. The top side 28 is arcuate between the first mating side 30 and the second mating side 32.

[0014] The associated pairs of sections 14 include a first pair of the sections 34, a second pair of the sections 36 and a third pair of the sections 38. The first mating side 30 of each of the first pair of sections 34 is abutted together and the second mating side 32 of each of first pair of sections 34 is abutted together. Thus, the first pair of sections 34 forms a first one 40 of the associated plurality of molds 18. The top side 28 of each of the first pair of sections 34 forms an opening 42 into the first mold 40 and the first mold 40 forms a sphere.

[0015] The first mating side 30 of each of the second pair of sections 36 is abutted together and the second mating side 32 of each of second pair of sections 36 is abutted together. Thus, the second pair of sections 36 forms a second one 44 of the associated plurality of molds 18. The top side 28 of each of the second pair of sections 36 forms an opening 42 into the second mold 44 and the second mold 44 forms a sphere.

[0016] The first mating side 30 of each of the third pair of sections 38 is abutted together and the second mating side 32 of each of third pair of sections 38 is abutted together. Thus, the third pair of sections 38 forms a third one 46 of the associated plurality of molds 18. The top side 28 of each of the third pair of sections 38 forms an opening 42 into the third mold 46 and the third mold 46 forms a sphere. The second mold 44 has a diameter that is less than a diameter of the first mold 40 and the third mold 46 has a diameter that is less than a diameter of the second mold 44.

[0017] Each of the first pair of sections 34, the second pair of sections 36 and the third pair of sections 38 include a master one 48 of the sections 12 and a slave one 50 of the sections 12. Each of the master sections 48 includes a first set of clips 52. Each of the first set of clips 52 is attached to the outer surface 24 corresponding to the master section 48. The first set of clips 52 are spaced apart from each other and each of the first set of clips 52 is distributed along the first mating side 30 corresponding to the master section 48. Each of the first set of clips 52 engages the outer surface 24 corresponding to the slave section 50 such that master section 48 is removably coupled to the slave section 50.

[0018] A second set of clips 54 is provided and each of the second set of clips 54 is attached to the outer surface 24 corresponding to the master section 48. Each of the second set of clips 54 is spaced apart from each other and distributed along the second mating side 32 corresponding to the master section 48. Each of the second set of clips 54 engages the outer surface 24 corresponding to the slave section 50 such that master section 48 is removably coupled to the slave section 50. A first handle 56 is coupled to the outer surface 24 corresponding to the master section 48 such that the first handle 56 may be gripped. A second handle 58 is coupled to the outer surface 24 corresponding to the slave section 50 such that the second handle 58 may be gripped.

[0019] In use, each of the first pair of sections 34 are joined together to form the first mold 40, each of the second pair of sections 36 are joined together to form the second mold 44 and each of the third pair of sections 38 are jointed together to form the third mold 46. The snow 18 is poured through the opening 42 in each of the first mold 40, the second mold 44 and the third mold 46. The first pair of sections 34 is uncoupled from each other and the resulting ball of snow 18 is used to define a bottom 60 of the snowman 20. The second pair of sections 36 is uncoupled from each other and the resulting ball of snow 18 is used to define a middle 62 of the snowman 20. The third pair of sections 38 is uncoupled from each other and the resulting ball of snow 18 is used to define a top 64 of the snowman 20.

[0020] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

[0021] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word "comprising" is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article "a" does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
