Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a gas grill and, more
particularly, to a burner of a gas grill.
[0003] 2. Related Prior Art
[0004] A conventional burner includes a middle section formed
between two terminal sections. The burner includes two opposite
rows of outlet apertures. Gas vents from the outlet apertures while
traveling along the burner, from one of the terminal sections to
the other terminal section via the middle section. The gas is
ignited to provide fire. An amount of gas venting from each of
outlet apertures in each of the terminal sections is expected to be
identical to an amount of gas venting from each of the outlet
apertures in the middle section. However, in practice, the amount
of gas venting from each of the outlet apertures in each of the
terminal sections is smaller than the amount of gas venting from
each of the outlet apertures in the middle section. Hence, the fire
along each of the terminal sections is smaller than the fire along
the middle section, and this is not desirable.
[0005] The present invention is therefore intended to obviate or at
least alleviate the problems encountered in prior art.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0006] It is the primary objective of the present invention to
provide a gas grill with burners for providing heat evenly.
[0007] To achieve the foregoing objective, each of the burners
includes a middle section formed between two terminal sections. At
least one of the terminal sections includes two rows of outlet
apertures, and the middle section includes a single row of outlet
apertures.
[0008] Other objectives, advantages and features of the present
invention will be apparent from the following description referring
to the attached drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0009] The present invention will be described via detailed
illustration of the preferred embodiment referring to the drawings
wherein:
[0010] FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a gas grill provided with
burners in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present
invention;
[0011] FIG. 2 is an exploded view of one of the burners shown in
FIG. 1;
[0012] FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of one of the burners
illustrated in FIG. 2; and
[0013] FIG. 4 is another cross-sectional view of the burner shown
in FIG. 2.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0014] Referring to FIG. 1, a gas grill is provided with several
burners 10 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the
present invention. Each of the burners 10 is a tubular element that
includes a middle section 12 formed between two terminal sections
14 and 16. The terminal section 14 of the burner 10 is connected to
a front portion of the gas grill while the terminal section 16 of
the burner 10 is connected to a rear portion of the gas grill. A
distributor 20 is preferably provided over each of the burners 10.
A grid 22 is provided over the distributors 20.
[0015] Referring to FIGS. 2 through 4, each of the burners 10
includes a single row of outlet apertures 18 in the middle section
12 and two rows of outlet apertures 18 in each of the terminal
sections 14 and 16. In the middle section 12 of the burner 10, the
single row of outlet apertures 18 is located on the top. In each of
the terminal sections 14 and 16, the rows of outlet apertures 18
are located on two opposite flanks.
[0016] In operation, gas is transferred into the burner 10. The gas
vents from the burner 10 via the outlet apertures 18 while
traveling along the burner 10, from the first terminal section 14
to the terminal section 16 through the middle section 12. The gas
is ignited to provide fire to provide heat to cook.
[0017] A portion of the gas venting from each of the outlet
apertures 18 in the middle section 12 of the burner 10 is larger
than a portion of the gas venting from each of the outlet apertures
18 in each of the terminal sections 14 and 16 of the burner 10. An
average amount of gas venting from the middle section 12 of the
burner 10 is however a little smaller than an average amount of gas
venting from each of the terminal sections 14 and 16 of the burner
10 since there is only one row of outlet apertures 18 in the middle
section 12 of the burner 10 while there are two rows of outlet
apertures 18 in each of the terminal sections 14 and 16. The
average amount is defined as the total amount divided by the
length. Hence, the fire is a little smaller along the middle
section 12 of the burner 10 than along each of the terminal
sections 14 and 16 of the burner 10. The difference is however
small and easily eliminated by the distributor 20, which
distributes the heat so that the temperature is substantially
constant along the corresponding distributor 20. Therefore, the
temperature is substantially constant all over the grid 22.
[0018] The present invention has been described via the detailed
illustration of the preferred embodiment. Those skilled in the art
can derive variations from the preferred embodiment without
departing from the scope of the present invention. Therefore, the
preferred embodiment shall not limit the scope of the present
invention defined in the claims.
