Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present disclosure relates to a structure of a paintball
gun, more particularly to an air-channel structure of the paintball
gun.
[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art
[0004] Please refer to FIG. 7 which shows a traditional paintball
gun 9. The paintball gun 9 includes a gun body 91 and a gun handle
92, the gun body 91 is provided with a barrel 93 and a gunlock set
94, and the gun body 91 has an air channel 911 inside, the air
channel 911 is provided to input high pressure gas for the gunlock
set 94 triggering a paint ball. The gun handle 92 is provided with
a triggering set 95 which controls the high pressure gas to enter
the air channel 911. The triggering set 95 has a trigger 951
exposed out of the front of the gun handle 92. A trigger guard 96
is disposed around the trigger 951 and a front handle 97 is
disposed in front of the trigger 951.
[0005] Regarding supply of the high pressure gas, a gas tank 98 is
disposed at a bottom portion of the gun handle 92, the gun handle
92 has a channel 921 inside, the trigger guard 96 below the trigger
951 also has a channel 961 inside, the front handle 97 also has a
channel 971 inside. Two ends of the pipe 99 are be fixedly
connected with the trigger guard 96 and the front handle 97 via
connectors 991 and 992 respectively, whereby the high pressure gas
within the gas tank 98 can be delivered to the air channel 911 via
the pipe 99 communicated between the channel 961 and the channel
971.
[0006] However, in the traditional paintball gun 9, the channel 961
is disposed in the structure of the existing trigger guard 96 and
the pipe 99 is connected to the trigger guard 96 and the front
handle 97 to communicate the channels 961 and 971. The disposal of
the pipe 99 inside the trigger guard 96 causes a problem of
complicated structure, in addition, the structure of the trigger
guard 96 is naturally weak and will be easily damaged due to slight
collision if the channel 961 is disposed inside the trigger guard
96. The damage may cause leakage of the high pressure gas.
Moreover, the pipe 99 is connected between the trigger guard 96 and
the front handle 97 by the connectors 991 and 992 in external
connecting manner, there is a problem of inconvenient assembly
because the pipe 99 and the connector 991 and 992 must be installed
within limited space; in addition, the pipe 99, the connector 991
and 992 between the trigger guard 96 and the front handle 97 are
easily loosed or damaged at the connecting portion due to
collision, and results in leakage of the gas.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] One of objectives of the present disclosure is to provide an
air-channel structure of a paintball gun to solve the above
problems. The structure of the paintball gun is simplified, and the
problem that the pipe is exposed at the connecting portion between
the gun handle and the front handle and may be loosed or damaged
due to collision to cause leakage of gas does not exist.
[0008] Other objective of the present disclosure is to utilize the
pipe as a pipeline for delivering gas and the pipe is designed as
the trigger guard for protecting the trigger. Therefore, the
paintball gun of the present disclosure is not provided with a
flexible tube which is used in traditional low-end paintball gun,
and the market value and competition of the paintball gun of the
present disclosure can be improved.

triggering a paint ball. The gun handle is provided with a
triggering set which controls the gunlock set to trigger the paint
ball, and the gun handle has an intake valve disposed at a bottom
portion thereof and connected with a gas tank containing the high
pressure gas. The triggering set has a trigger exposed between the
gun handle and the front handle, a trigger guard is disposed around
a front side and a bottom side of the trigger. The air-channel
structure includes a pipe which includes a front section, a center
section and a back section. The front section is located inside the
front handle, the back section is located inside the gun handle,
and the center section is located at a bottom side of the trigger
and extended between the gun handle and the front handle. The pipe
has a second air channel inside. Inside the gun handle, an end of
the second air channel of the pipe is communicated with the intake
valve and the gas tank is connected with the intake valve. Inside
the front handle, other end of the second air channel of the pipe
is communicated with the first air channel, and the front handle
and the center section of the pipe are located at the front side
and the bottom side of the trigger to form the trigger guard.
[0010] The gun handle has a switch disposed at the intake valve,
and the switch is turned on/off to control the high pressure gas
inside the gas tank to pass the intake valve.

combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.
[0021] Please refer to FIG. 1 through FIG. 6 which show structures
of an embodiment of the present disclosure. The structures shown in
FIG. 1 through FIG. 6 are taken as examples for illustration, but
the present disclosure is not limited thereto.
[0022] This embodiment provides an air-channel structure of a
paintball gun. As shown in FIG. 1, the paintball gun includes a gun
body 1 and a gun handle 2, the gun handle 2 and the front handle 3
are integratedly made by injection molding by plasticity material,
and the gun handle 2 and the front handle 3 are disposed at a
bottom portion of the gun body 1.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 2, the gun body 1 is provided with a barrel
4 and a gunlock set 5, and the gun body 1 has a first air channel
11 inside, the first air channel 11 is provided to input the high
pressure gas for the gunlock set 5 triggering the paint ball.
[0024] As shown in FIG. 2, the gun handle 2 is provided with a
triggering set 6 which controls the gunlock set 5 to trigger the
paint ball. The gun handle 2 has an intake valve 7 at the bottom
portion thereof, and the intake valve 7 is connected with the gas
tank 71 containing the high pressure gas. The triggering set 6 has
a trigger 61 exposed between the gun handle 2 and the front handle
3, and a trigger guard is disposed around a front side and a bottom
side of the trigger 61.
[0025] As shown in FIG. 1 through FIG. 3, the air-channel structure
of the paintball gun of this embodiment is provided with a pipe 8
which can be made of metal or plastic material. In this embodiment
the pipe 8 is a metal pipe and has a front section 81, a center
section 82 and a back section 83. During injection molding of the
front handle 3, the front section 81 is disposed at a molding
position of the front handle 3, and the back section 83 is disposed
at a molding position of the gun handle 2 during injection molding
of the gun handle 2, so the front section 81 and the back section
83 are respectively located inside the front handle 3 and the gun
handle 2 after the injection molding of the front handle 3 and gun
handle 2, and the center section 82 is extended between the gun
handle 2 and front handle 3 at the bottom side of the trigger 61.
As shown in FIG. 3, the pipe 8 has a second air channel 84. Inside
the gun handle 2, an end of the second air channel 84 of the pipe 8
is communicated with the intake valve 7 and the gas tank 71 which
is connected with the intake valve. Inside the front handle 3,
other end of the second air channel 84 of the pipe 8 is
communicated with the first air channel 11, and the front handle 3
and the center section 82 of the pipe 8 are located at the front
side and the bottom side of the trigger 61 to form the trigger
guard.
[0026] In this embodiment, the pipe 8 is hollow and bent. Inside
the gun handle 2, the pipe 8 has an intake end 85 extended to the
bottom portion of the gun handle 2 and connected the intake valve
7. Inside the front handle 3, the pipe 8 has an outlet end 86
extended to a top of the front handle 3 and connected to the 1
bottom portion of the gun body, the second channel 84 of the pipe 8
is directly communicated between the intake valve 7 and the first
air channel 11.
[0027] In this embodiment, a metal piece 87 is fixed at the intake
end 85 of the pipe 8 and combined at the bottom portion of the gun
handle 2, and the intake valve 7 is fixedly connected with the
metal piece 87 at the bottom portion of the gun handle 2. Regarding
the disposal of the metal piece 87, the gun handle 2 is made of
plasticity material, so the intake valve 7 is combined at the
bottom portion of the gun handle 2 by a manner of screwing in this
embodiment. If the intake valve 7 is directly screwed on the gun
handle 2, the problem of bad structural strength exists, so the
metal piece 87 is extra added to provide the intake valve to be
firmly screwed.
[0028] As shown in FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, a switch 72 is disposed at
the intake valve 7 in the gun handle 2 of this embodiment, and the
switch 72 is turned on/off to control the high pressure gas inside
the gas tank 71 to pass the intake valve 7, i.e. when the switch 72
is screwed in to drive displacement of a valve rod 721, a thimble
711 of the gas tank 71 is pushed by the valve rod 721, so the high
pressure gas inside the gas tank 71 can be discharged to enter the
pipe 8 via the intake end 85. When the switch 72 is screwed out,
the valve rod 721 is moved out correspondingly and the thimble 711
of the gas tank 71 will be ejected, so the high pressure gas inside
the gas tank 71 cannot pass the intake valve 7 and enter the pipe
8.
[0029] According to the aforesaid illustration, the advantages of
the present disclosure are obvious.
[0030] First, in the paintball gun of the present disclosure, the
air-channel structure is combined with the paintball gun for use as
the trigger guard, so the trigger guard of the present disclosure
has a simpler structure compared with the traditional paintball
gun. Two ends of the pipe 8 communicated between the gun handle 2
and the front handle 3 are hidden in the front section 81 and the
back section 83 disposed inside the gun handle 2 and the front
handle 3, only the center section 82 at bottom side of the trigger
guard is exposed. Therefore, the problem that the pipe 99 of the
traditional paintball gun is exposed at the connecting portion
between the gun handle 92 and the front handle 97 and easily loosed
or damaged by collision to cause gas leak does not exist in the
paintball gun of the present disclosure.
[0031] Secondly, the pipe 8 is used as a pipeline for delivering
gas and is designed as the trigger guard for protecting the trigger
61, so the paintball gun of the present disclosure is not provided
with a pipe 99 which is used in traditional low-end paintball gun,
and the market value and competition of the paintball gun of the
present disclosure can be improved.
[0032] Naturally, there are many examples embraced by the scope of
the present disclosure, and these examples just have different
variations in detail. Please refer to FIG. 4 through FIG. 6 which
show a second embodiment of the present disclosure. The main
differences between the first embodiment and the second embodiment
are described in following paragraph.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 5, inside the gun handle 2A, the
air-channel structure of the paintball gun of the second embodiment
has a third air channel 21A which is communicated with the intake
valve 7 by a bottom end thereof, and the front handle 3A has a
fourth air channel 31A inside, and a top end of the fourth air
channel 31A is communicated with the first air channel 11. The pipe
8A is hollow and has a front section 81A, a center section 82A and
a back section 83A. At the bottom side of the trigger 61, the back
section 83A is connected with the gun handle 2A, the front section
81A is connected with the front handle 3A. The pipe 8A has a second
air channel 84A inside, and two ends of the second air channel 84A
are sealingly communicated with the third air channel 21A and the
fourth air channel 31A, respectively. The front handle 3A and the
center section 82A of the pipe 8A are located at the front side and
the bottom side of the trigger 61 to form as the trigger guard.
[0034] As shown in FIG. 5, the gun handle 2A has a first mounting
hole 22A close to the bottom end of the trigger 61, the first
mounting hole 22A is disposed along a widthwise direction of the
gun handle 2A, and the third air channel 21A is communicated
between the first mounting hole 22A and the intake valve 7. The
front handle 3A has a second mounting hole 32A at the bottom
portion thereof, the second mounting hole 32A is disposed along a
widthwise direction of the front handle 3A. The fourth air channel
31A is communicated between the second mounting hole 32A and the
first air channel 11. The back section 83A of the pipe 8A is linked
with the first mounting hole 22A at the gun handle 2A, and the
front section 81A is linked with the second mounting hole 32A at
the front handle 3A. The two ends of the second air channel 84A are
disposed inside the first mounting hole 22A and the second mounting
hole 32A respectively and sealingly communicated with the third air
channel 21A and the fourth air channel 31A respectively. In this
embodiment, the pipe 8A is a straight pipe, and the first mounting
hole 22A is aligned with the second mounting hole 32A, so the two
ends of the pipe 8A can be disposed inside the first mounting hole
22A and the second mounting hole 32A.
[0035] As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the second air channel 84A is
passed through the two ends of the pipe 8A along a lengthwise
direction of the pipe 8A, and at the two ends of the pipe 8A, two
ends of the second air channel 84A are airtightly plugged by plugs
85A, respectively. The pipe 8A have through holes 841A and 842A
located at positions communicated with the third air channel 21A
and the fourth air channel 31A, and each of through holes 841A and
842A are radially passed through the pipe 8A and communicated with
the second air channel 84A. The pipe 8A is provided with seal rings
843A and 844A disposed at two sides of the through holes 841A and
842A respectively, to prevent leakage of high pressure gas.
Therefore, sealed communication between the third air channel 21A,
fourth air channel 31A and second air channel 84A can be
achieved.
[0036] The air-channel structure of the paintball gun of the second
embodiment can provide the effect equal to the effect of the first
embodiment.
