SNOWMAN MOLD DEVICE
Abstract
A snowman mold device includes a plurality of molds. Each of the
molds comprises a first shell and a second shell. The second shell
is removably coupled to the first shell such that each of the molds
forms a substantially hollow predetermined shape. Each of the molds
shapes a material into the predetermined shape. A plurality of sets
of pins is provided. Each of the sets of pins engages the first
shell and the second shell of an associated one of the molds so the
first shell is coupled to the second shell. Each of the molds has a
unique, respective size to facilitate stacking of the molds to
resemble a snow man.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0012] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
FIGS. 1 through 6 thereof, a new mold device embodying the
principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and
generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be
described.
[0013] As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 6, the snowman mold
device 10 generally comprises a plurality of molds 12. Each of the
molds 12 comprises a respective first shell 14 and a respective
second shell 16. Each of the first shell 14 and the second shell 16
comprises a respective front surface 18 and a respective rear
surface 20 each extending between a respective first end 22 and a
respective second end 24. The first shell 14 and the second shell
16 are elongated between the respective first end 22 and the
respective second end 24. Each of the respective front surface 18
and the respective rear surface 20 is curvilinear between each of
the respective first ends 22 and the respective second end 24,
giving each of the first shell 14 and the second shell 16 a
hemispherical shape.
[0014] A pair of lips 26 is coupled to and extends inwardly from
the respective rear surfaces 20. Each of the lips 26 extends
between the respective first end 22 and the respective second end
24. Additionally, each of the lips 26 is positioned adjacent to an
associated one of a respective top edge 28 and a respective bottom
edge 30 of the first shell 14 and the second shell 16.
[0015] The first shell 14 is coupled to the second shell 16 such
that the respective first ends 22 abut one another and the
respective second ends 24 abut one another. Each of the molds 12
defines a substantially hollow spherical shape with a respective
open top end 32 and a respective open bottom end 34. Each of the
molds 12 receives a material 36. The molds 12 shape the material 36
into the spherical shape. The material 36 may be snow or the
like.
[0016] A first ring 38 and a second ring 40 are provided. Each of
the first ring 38 and the second ring 40 are coupled to the
respective front surface 18 of an associated one of the first shell
14 and the second shell 16. The first ring 38 is positioned
adjacent to the respective first end 22. The second ring 40 is
positioned adjacent to the respective second end 24. Each of the
first rings 38 is aligned with each other and each the second rings
40 is aligned with each other when the first shell 14 is coupled to
the second shell 16.
[0017] A plurality of sets of pins 42 is provided. Each of the pins
42 has a respective upper end 44 and a respective lower end 46. A
head 48 is coupled to the 44 upper end of each of the pins 42. The
lower end 46 of each of the sets of pins 42 is extendable through
an associated pair of the first rings 38 and an associated pair of
the second rings 40 when the first shell 14 is coupled to the
second shell 16. The head 48 abuts the first ring 38. The pins 72
retain the first shell 14 on the second shell 16.
[0018] The plurality of molds 12 comprises a basal mold 50, a
medial mold 52 and a top mold 54. The basal mold 50 has a diameter
that is greater than a diameter of each of the medial mold 52 and
the top mold 54. The medial mold 52 has a diameter that is greater
than a diameter of the top mold 54 to facilitate stacking of the
molds 12. The molds 12 may resemble a snow man when the molds 12
are stacked.
[0019] The first shell 14 of the basal mold 50 has a plurality of
apertures 56 extending therethrough. The apertures 56 are centrally
positioned between the respective first end 22 and the respective
second end 24. Moreover, the apertures 56 are evenly spaced apart
and distributed between top edge 28 and the bottom edge 30 of the
first shell 14 associated with the basal mold 50 to resemble coat
buttons or the like.
[0020] The first shell 14 of the medial mold 52 has a plurality of
openings 58 extending therethrough. The openings 58 are centrally
positioned between the respective first end 22 and the respective
second end 24. Additionally, the openings 58 are evenly spaced
apart and distributed between the top edge 28 and the bottom edge
30 of the first shell 14 associated with the medial mold 52 to
resemble coat buttons or the like. The first shell 14 of the top
mold 54 has a plurality of slots 60 extending therethrough. The
slots 60 are arranged to resemble a smiley face.
[0021] A plurality of decorations 62 is provided. Each of the
decorations 62 has a respective first end 64 and a respective
second end 66. A plurality of fingers 68 extends outwardly from
each of the decorations 62. The fingers 68 are distributed along
the decorations proximate the first end 64. The second end 66 of
the decorations 62 may be shaped to resemble a plurality of buttons
70, a nose 72, a pair of eyes 74, a mouth 76 and a pair of hands
78. The first end 64 of each of the decorations 62 may be extended
through a selected one of the openings 58, apertures 56 and slots
60 to decorate the molds 12 to resemble the snow man.
[0022] In use, the first shell 14 is coupled to the second shell 16
of each of the respective molds 12. Each of the molds 12 is filled
with the material 36. The medial mold 52 is stacked on the basal
mold 50, followed by the top mold 54 being stacked on the medial
mold 52. The molds 12 may be removed from the material 36 or the
molds 12 may be left on the material 36 after the molds 12 are
stacked. The decorations 62 are applied in a desired
arrangement.
[0023] With respect to the above description then, it is to be
realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts
of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations
in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation,
assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one
skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those
illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are
intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0024] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only
of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous
modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in
the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact
construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly,
all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to,
falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent
document, the word "comprising" is used in its non-limiting sense
to mean that items following the word are included, but items not
specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element
by the indefinite article "a" does not exclude the possibility that
more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly
requires that there be only one of the elements.
