Modular locker Shelf
Abstract
This invention provides a modular locker shelf with firm
structure. It is easy to be assembled and disassembled. This locker
shelf includes two side frames, a top shelf board and a bottom
shelf board between two side frames; it also includes at least one
middle side frame between top shelf board and bottom shelf board
and one or more middle shelf board, which can be disassembled and
connected with the side frame and middle side frame. The top shelf
board and bottom shelf board can be disassembled and connected with
two side frames. The space of the locker shelf can be flexibly
changed according to needs, and can be placed in the locker to
improve the organizing function of the storage. This shelf is easy
for assembling and dissembling and it is also convenient for
transport. As a result, it is beneficial to expanding the use of
shelf.

Claims
1. A modular locker shelf, including two side frames and the long
flat top shelf board and long flat bottom shelf board between the
two side frames; at least one middle side frame between the top
shelf board and bottom shelf board and one or more short flat
middle shelf boards, which can be disassembled and connected with
one of the two side frames and the middle side frame; the top shelf
board and bottom shelf board can be disassembled and connected with
the two side frames; the vertical position of one or more middle
shelf boards placed in lockers can be adjusted flexibly according
to needs, to expand the space of shelf and enhance the shelf
structure stability.
2. The modular locker shelf in claim 1, including the two side
frames and middle side frame each include upright posts and a rail
fixed between the upright posts.
3. The modular locker shelf in claim 2, including both the top
shelf board and bottom shelf board are provided with a support rod
used for installing the middle side frame; the middle side frame is
set between the top shelf board and bottom shelf board through a
connection of the upright posts and each support rod.
4. The modular locker shelf in claim 3, wherein each support rod is
a "U" shaped rod, the horizontal part of one of the "U" shaped
support rods is fixed in the bottom of the top shelf board, and the
horizontal part of the other one of the "U" shaped rods is fixed in
the top of the bottom shelf board, the connection of the upright
posts and vertical parts of each "U" shaped support rod can set the
middle side frame between the top shelf board and bottom shelf
board.
5. The modular locker shelf in claim 2, wherein two sides of each
of the top shelf board, the middle shelf board and bottom shelf
board include a fastening part.
6. The modular locker shelf in claim 5, wherein the top shelf board
and bottom shelf board can be disassembled and connected with the
two side frames by connecting each fastening part with a respective
one of the rails on the two side frames.
7. The modular locker shelf in claim 5, wherein the middle shelf
board can be disassembled, connected and fixed with one of the two
side frames and the middle side frame by connecting each fastening
part with a respective one of the rails on the side frame and the
middle side frame.
8. The modular locker shelf in claim 6 or 7, wherein each fastening
part is "U" shaped in cross section, and has a length that is the
same as the length of an edge of one of the two sides to which the
fastening part is fixed with.
9. The modular locker shelf in claim 1, wherein the top shelf
board, middle shelf board, and the bottom shelf board being made of
a metal panel, wooden panel, mesh panel or plastic panel.
10. The modular locker shelf in claim 2, wherein each upright post
of the two side frames and the middle side frame is welded together
with the respective rail, and two ends of the rail include an
installing part which fits to a surface of the respective upright
post.
Description
BACKGROUND
[0001] 1. Field of the Disclosure
[0002] This invention is generally directed to a shelf, and more
particularly to a locker shelf commonly used in office, home,
school dormitory and other places for storing small items such as
samples, tools, documents, design drawings, bills, forms etc. in
daily life. Usually a locker shelf is placed in a locker for
organizing storage to improve use of locker space and to organize
stored items.
[0003] 2. Description of Related Art
[0004] Presently most shelf construction consists of several
upright posts and predetermined amount of shelf board: To connect
the shelf board and the upright post, set up screw hole is fixed at
predetermined position of upright post, and the shelf board is
installed to the upright post by screws and other fasteners to
finish the fixed composition of shelf directly. Because all parts
are fixed, the space cannot be changed by adjusting the shelf
position flexibly according to needs. Besides, the stress of this
shelf is concentrated at the connection part between screw and
screw hole, as a result, the construction strength is not enough to
bear heavy loading, which limits the practical value of shelf. The
storage space of locker with above shelf is single pattern because
the space cannot be adjusted flexibly, which limits the storage
function of locker.
[0005] Designing a new locker shelf is necessary to improve the
locker storage capacity and to provide a firm structure, and to
make it easy for assembling and disassembling shelf to be placed in
locker by adjusting the space flexibly according to needs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DISCLOSURE
[0015] The present invention is to overcome the weakness of
existing techniques, and to provide a firm shelf that can adjust
the space according to needs. The shelf can be placed in the locker
to improve the storage organizing function. This shelf is easy for
assembling and dissembling and also it is convenient for transport.
These advantages help to expand the use of shelf.

the claims are referred to: [0017] According to the invention, a
modular shelf, which includes two side frames and the long flat top
shelf board and log flat bottom shelf board between two side
frames; it also includes at least one middle side frame between top
shelf board and bottom shelf board and one or more short flat
middle shelf board, which can be disassembled and connected with
the side frame and middle side frame. The top shelf board and
bottom shelf board can be disassembled and connected with two side
frames.

and top of bottom shelf board, the connection of upright post and
vertical part of "U" shaped support rod can set the middle side

shaped support rod can enhance the connection of top shelf board
and bottom shelf board with middle side frame.

bottom shelf board are designed with fastening part.

and connected with two side frames for connecting the fastening
part with the rail on two side frames to achieve the connection of

with side frame and middle side frame, and it is fixed between side
frame and middle side frame. A fastening part connected with rail
on side frame and middle side frame to achieve the connection of
middle shelf board with side frame and middle side frame, and it is

[0025] The design of fastening part in this invention makes the top
shelf board, middle shelf board and bottom shelf board easy to
remove and change their position on the locker shelf, which can
change the pattern of locker shelf by adjusting the shelf board
position flexibly according to needs, thus to improve the storage
capacity. To connect the top shelf board and bottom shelf board
with side frame, the middle shelf board and side frame with middle
side frame, it only needs to connect fastening part and rail, which
makes the locker shelf convenient for assembling, disassembling and
transport.
[0026] The cross section of fastening part is "U" shaped; the
length is same as two side edges fixed them. The length of
fastening part ("U" shaped in cross section) is the same as two
side edges of top shelf board, middle shelf board and bottom shelf
board, this can enlarge the contact area of top shelf board and
bottom shelf board with two side frames, also increase the contact
area of middle shelf board with side frame and middle side frame.
This can fix the top shelf board, middle shelf board and bottom
shelf board on the locker shelf, enhance the structure strength of
locker shelf, it also can increase the loading capacity to improve
its use value.
[0027] In this invention, the top shelf board, middle shelf board,
bottom shelf board can be made of other materials such as metal
panel, wooden panel, mesh panel, plastic panel etc. to satisfy to
the market demand.
[0028] The upright post of side frame and middle side frame are
welded together with rail; the two ends of rail are designed with
installing part fits to upright post surface. The upright post in
this invention is in round tube shape, so the installing part of
rail fits to upright post which is in arc shape. This design can
enlarge the contact area of rail and upright post to enhance
structure strength of side frame and middle side frame.

comparing to existing techniques: [0030] 1. The locker shelf in
this invention has firm structure, it can change pattern flexibly
according to needs to improve the storage capacity when placing in

convenient for transport with simple structure which benefits the
use of this shelf in the office supplies industry.
DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS
[0032] The present invention will become more obvious from the
following description when taken in connection with the
accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations
only, the preferred embodiments(s) in accordance with the present
invention:
[0033] Embodiment, this example illustrates the locker shelf with
one middle side frame and one middle shelf board.
[0034] As shown in the FIG. 1 to FIG. 7 this invention contains two
side frames 1; Top shelf board 2 and bottom shelf board 3 fixed
between the two side frames 1; Middle side frame 4 and middle shelf
board 5 between top shelf board 2 and bottom shelf board 3; Two
side frames 1 and middle frame 4 should include upright post 6 and
rail 7 welded on upright post 6. To enhance the connection of
upright post 6 and rail 7, the two sides of rail 7 should fix the
arc shaped installing part 8 which suits for upright post 6.
[0035] In this invention, both the bottom of top shelf board 2 and
top of bottom shelf board 3 are designed with "U" shaped rod 9 used
in installing middle side frame 4, the horizontal part of "U"
shaped rod 9 should be fixed on the bottom side of top shelf board
2 (as shown in FIG. 3) and the top side of bottom shelf board 3 (as
shown in FIG. 4). The connection of upright post 6 and "U" shaped
rod 9 makes the middle side frame 4 fixed between top shelf board 2
and bottom shelf board.
[0036] The two sides of top shelf board 2, middle shelf board 5 and
bottom shelf board 3 are designed with fastening part 10 which is
"U" shaped in cross section. The length of fastening part 10 is the
same as two side edges, and is fixed with the edges. Top shelf
board 2, middle shelf board 5 and bottom shelf board 3 are
installed to the side frame and middle side frame in such way to
connect the fastening part 10 with the rail 7 on two side frames 1
to achieve the connection of top shelf board 2 and bottom shelf
board 3 with two side frames 1; Fastening part 10 is connected with
rail 7 on side frame 1 and middle side frame 4, to achieve the
connection of middle shelf board 5 with side frame 1 and middle
side frame 4, and is fixed between side frame 1 and middle side
frame 4.
[0037] The design of fastening part 10 in this invention makes the
top shelf board 2, middle shelf board 5 and bottom shelf board 3
easy to remove and change their position on the locker shelf, which
the placing pattern of locker shelf can be changed by adjusting the
top shelf board 2, middle shelf board 5 and bottom shelf board 3
position flexibly according to needs, and thus improve the storage
capacity. The length of fastening part 10 (cross section is "U"
shaped) is the same as two side edges of top shelf board 2, middle
shelf board 5 and bottom shelf board. This can enlarge the contact
area of top shelf board 2 and bottom shelf board 3 with two side
frames 1, also increase the contact area of middle shelf board 5
with side frame 1 and middle side frame 4. This can fix the top
shelf board 2, middle shelf board 5 and bottom shelf board 3 on the
locker shelf, enhance the structure strength of locker shelf, and
increase the loading capacity to improve its use value.
[0038] In this invention, the top shelf board 2, middle shelf board
5, bottom shelf board 3 can be made of other materials such as
metal panel, wooden panel, mesh panel, plastic panel etc. to
satisfy the market demand.
[0039] The structure of locker shelf in this invention is simple.
To connect the top shelf board 2 and bottom shelf board 3 with side
frame 1, the middle shelf board 5 and side frame 1 with middle side
frame 4, it only needs to connect fastening part 10 and rail 7,
which makes the locker shelf convenient for assembling,
disassembling and transport. To enlarge the storage space, the
locker shelf can be designed with two or more middle side frames 4
between top shelf board 2 and bottom shelf board 3, and the amount
of middle shelf board 5 can be increased according to needs.

of the invention, but the invention is not limited to above
embodiments. Any other changes in the spirit of principles in the
invention including modification, replacement, combinations,
simplification of the replacement pattern should be equivalent, are
included within the scope of the present invention.
