Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. .sctn.119 to Korean Utility Model Application No. 20-2014-0004594 filed on Jun. 18, 2014 in the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0002] The following disclosure relates to a nail applique, and in particular, to a nail applique having a handle to enhance the convenience of a user.

BACKGROUND

[0003] Recently, as women actively express their beauties and an income level increases, nail polishes are frequently used for more beautiful nails or toenails and various kinds of nail polishes have been presented.

[0004] However, all of the existing nail polishes are so-called "applied nail polishes" in a liquid state which should be applied to nails or toenails by means of a brush or the like. In this case, a user needs a long time to apply such a nail polish, and since enamel components in the nail polish are not dried instantly, the user also should wait for a long time until the nail polish is dried, which gives restrictions in activity.

[0005] In addition, in order to peel off the nail polish, a remover containing an acetone component is used to remove the hardened enamel, which however gives a bad smell and also badly affects the nutrition of nails or toenails. Moreover, it takes much time to remove the nail polish.

[0006] In order to overcome the above disadvantages, an artificial nail has been developed and used as disclosed in the patent literature listed below. However, this artificial nail does not have an adhesive means on its rear surface, and thus an adhesive should be separately attached thereto.

[0007] At this time, when the artificial nail is attached onto a nail or the like, the adhesive on its rear surface may be contaminated by impurities, which may make the rear surface of the artificial nail dirt or deteriorate the adhesive force of the adhesive.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

[0031] Objects, specific advantages and new features of the present disclosure will be more apparent from the following detailed description and embodiments taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. In the specification, when reference numerals are endowed to components in each drawing, it should be noted that like reference numerals denote like elements even though they are depicted in several drawings. In addition, the terms "first", "second", and the like are used for distinguishing one component from another, and components are not limited to the terms. Hereinafter, in a case where detailed description of known functions or configurations in relation to the present disclosure is judged as unnecessarily making the essence of the present disclosure vague, the detailed description will be excluded.

[0032] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1a is a front view showing a sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 1b is a rear view showing the sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIGS. 2a to 2c show examples for illustrating a process of using a nail applique according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0033] A plurality of nail appliques 100 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure are provided to a releasing sheet 101 during a manufacturing process, and each nail applique 100 includes an attachment unit 111 protruding outwards together with the releasing sheet 101 and attached to a nail or toenail of a user, and a handle 112 connected to the attachment unit 111 and gripped by the user.

[0034] The releasing sheet 101 may be formed using any one of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), PP, PE, EVA, and nylon, without being limited thereto.

[0035] The nail applique 100 may include an upper layer 110 attached to an upper surface of the releasing sheet 101 by means of an adhesive 104 and classified into a region of the attachment unit 111 and a region of the handle 112, and a rear handle 101-2 prepared by forming a complete blade processing line at the releasing sheet 101 in the region of the handle 112.

[0036] In detail, the upper layer 110 is a flexible film, which may be formed with any one selected from the group consisting of polystyrene (PS) resin, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin, styrene butadiene styrene (SBS) resin, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) resin, polyethylene (PE) resin, polypropylene (PP) resin, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) resin, polyamide resin, polyester resin, acrylic polymer resin, copolymers thereof, and blends thereof.

[0037] The upper layer 110 may be formed with a film having a tensile elongation of 30% to 400% and a tensile strength of 100 MPa to 400 MPa in order to prevent the attachment unit 111 from being wrinkled when being attached to the nail or toenail of a user and also tightly maintain an attached state of the curved shape.

[0038] Here, the tensile elongation is used for measuring how much a test piece can elongate and represents an elongated length of a standard test piece when the test piece is cut while pulled by a tension tester. The tensile elongation of the upper layer 110 is based on the tension test values of a thin plastic sheet (American Society for Testing Materials--D882).

[0039] The region of the handle 112 and the rear handle 101-2 are symmetrical with the adhesive 104 being interposed between them, and as shown in FIGS. 1a and 1b, the handle 112 and the rear handle 101-2 are formed to have a rounded head portion and wing portions extending from the rounded head portion to both sides.

[0040] In particular, as shown in FIG. 1b, the rear handle 101-2 has bending lines 101-22 provided at both sides of the wing portions and are bent along the bending lines 101-22. Accordingly, the nail applique 100 is easily converted into a curved shape by means of the bending line 101-22 and thus may be tightly attached to the nail or toenail of a user with the curved shape.

[0041] As shown in FIG. 2a, a plurality of nail appliques 100 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure are provided at the releasing sheet 101, and the user detaches the handle 112 of the nail applique 100 from the releasing sheet 101. At this time, since the rear handle 101-2 of the handle 112 is prepared by forming a complete blade processing line at the releasing sheet 101, the handle 112 may be easily detached from the releasing sheet 101 by bending the rear handle 101-2 upwards as shown in FIG. 2b.

[0042] After that, if the attachment unit 111 is also detached as shown in FIG. 2c, the nail applique 100 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure is deformed so that the adhesive 104 of the attachment unit 111 is exposed outwards like a right sectional shape cut along the line I-I'.

[0043] At this time, the user may grip the handle 112 including the rear handle 101-2, attach the attachment unit 111 to the nail or toenail of the user by means of the adhesive 104, and cut the attachment unit 111 suitable for a size of the nail or toenail of the user by using a tool.

[0044] Therefore, since a user may grip the handle 112 and easily attach the nail applique 100 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure to the nail or toenail of the user, it is possible to prevent the adhesive 104 from being contaminated and thus making the rear side dirt and also from deteriorating its adhesive force.

[0045] Hereinafter, a nail applique according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIGS. 3a to 4c. FIG. 3a is a front view showing a sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 3b is a rear view showing the sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIGS. 4a to 4c show examples for illustrating a process of using a nail applique according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0046] A plurality of nail appliques 200 according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure are provided at a releasing sheet 201. The nail applique 200 includes an attachment unit 211 attached to the nail or toenail of the user, and a handle 212 connected to the attachment unit 211 and gripped by a user.

[0047] In particular, the nail applique 200 according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure includes an upper layer 210 attached to an upper surface of the releasing sheet 201 by means of an adhesive 204 and classified into a region of an attachment unit 211 at an inner side and a region of a handle 212 at an outer side, and a rear handle 201-2 classified from the releasing sheet 201 by means of a complete blade processing line 205 and protruding together with the releasing sheet 201 to correspond to the region of the handle 212 at an outer side, different from the nail applique 100 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0048] Therefore, any component of the nail applique 200 according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure, which is identical to that of the nail applique 100 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure, will not be described in detail here.

[0049] In the nail applique 200 according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure, the rear handle 201-2 of the handle 212 is formed to protrude from the releasing sheet 201 so that a user may easily grip the handle 212 and the rear handle 201-2.

[0050] In detail, in a state where a plurality of nail appliques 200 according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure are provided at the upper surface of the releasing sheet 201 by means of the adhesive 204 as shown in FIG. 4a, the user may easily detach the rear handle 201-2 from the releasing sheet 201 by gripping and bending upwards the handle 212 and the rear handle 201-2 as shown in FIG. 4b.

[0051] At this time, the rear handle 201-2 is easily separated from the releasing sheet 201 by means of the complete blade processing line 205, and the user may also grip the handle 212 and the rear handle 201-2 at an outer side and detach the attachment unit 211 as shown in FIG. 4c.

[0052] Therefore, the nail applique 200 according to the second embodiment of the present disclosure is deformed so that the adhesive 204 of the attachment unit 211 is exposed like a right sectional shape cut along the line II-II', and the user may grip the handle 212 including the rear handle 201-2, attach the attachment unit 211 to the nail or toenail of the user by means of the adhesive 204, and cut the attachment unit 211 suitable for a size of the nail or toenail of the user by using a tool.

[0053] Hereinafter, a nail applique according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIGS. 5a to 6c. FIG. 5a is a front view showing a sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 5b is a rear view showing the sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIGS. 6a to 6c show examples for illustrating a process of using a nail applique according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0054] A nail applique 300 according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure may include an upper layer provided at an upper surface of a releasing sheet 301 by means of an adhesive and classified into a region of an attachment unit 311 at an inner side and a region of a handle 312 at an outer side, and a rear handle 301-2 prepared by forming a complete blade processing line at the releasing sheet 301 to correspond to the region of the handle 312, as shown in FIGS. 5a and 5b.

[0055] In the nail applique 300 according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG. 5b, the rear handle 301-2 has its region in the releasing sheet 301 by forming the complete blade processing line to correspond to the region of the handle 312, different from the former embodiments.

[0056] In addition, a plurality of nail appliques 300 according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure are provided at the releasing sheet 301 as shown in FIG. 6a, and the user detaches the handle 312 of the nail applique 300 from the releasing sheet 301. At this time, since the rear handle 301-2 of the handle 312 is formed by performing a complete blade process to the releasing sheet 301, as shown in FIG. 6b, the rear handle 301-2 may be easily detached from the releasing sheet 301 if the rear handle 301-2 is bent upwards.

[0057] After that, if the user also grips the handle 312 and the rear handle 301-2 and detaches the attachment unit 311 as shown in FIG. 6c, the nail applique 300 according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure is deformed so that the adhesive of the attachment unit 311 is exposed.

[0058] At this time, the user may grip the handle 312 including the rear handle 301-2, attach the attachment unit 311 to the nail or toenail of the user by means of the adhesive, and cut the attachment unit 311 suitable for a size of the nail or toenail of the user by using a tool.

[0059] Therefore, since a user grips the handle 312 including the rear handle 301-2 and easily attaches the nail applique 300 according to the third embodiment of the present disclosure to the nail or toenail of the user, it is possible to prevent the adhesive from being contaminated and thus becoming dirt and also from deteriorating its adhesive force.

[0060] Hereinafter, a nail applique according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to FIGS. 7a to 8c. FIG. 7a is a front view showing a sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, FIG. 7b is a rear view showing the sheet having a plurality of nail appliques according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIGS. 8a to 8c show examples for illustrating a process of using a nail applique according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0061] A nail applique 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure is a French-type nail applique, which includes an attachment unit 411 attached to a front end of the nail of a user and having a smile line rounded outwards, and a handle 412 connected to an attachment unit 411 and gripped by the user.

[0062] In particular, the nail applique 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure includes an upper layer provided at an upper surface of a releasing sheet 401 by means of an adhesive and classified into a region of an attachment unit 411 at an outer side and a region of a handle 412 at an inner side, and a rear handle 401-2 having a region corresponding to the region of the handle 412 by forming a complete blade processing line at the releasing sheet 401.

[0063] At this time, in the nail applique 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure, since the attachment unit 411 of the upper layer is selectively used in a French type in which the attachment unit 411 is attached to a front end of the nail of the user, the attachment unit 411 of the upper layer having a rounded outer front end may also be formed to have a curved surface bent to both sides with a modulus greater than the modulus of the releasing sheet 401, for example a modulus of 5,000 to 50,000 Kg/cm.sup.2 when a test method of ASTM D790 is performed.

[0064] The attachment unit 411 of the upper layer may be formed to have a high modulus so as to prevent any shrinkage phenomenon and also prevent any influence caused by an external impact after the attachment unit 411 is attached to the nail or toenail of the user.

[0065] If the nail applique 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure configured as above is used, the user may easily grip the handle 412 and the rear handle 401-2 and attach the attachment unit 411 to the nail or toenail of the user.

[0066] In other words, a plurality of nail appliques 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure are provided at the releasing sheet 401 as shown in FIG. 8a, and the user detaches the handle 412 of any one nail applique 400 from the releasing sheet 401. At this time, since the rear handle 401-2 corresponding to the handle 412 is prepared by performing a complete blade process to the releasing sheet 401, the rear handle 401-2 may be easily detached from the releasing sheet 401 if the rear handle 401-2 is bent upwards, as shown in FIG. 8b.

[0067] After that, if the user grips the handle 412 and the rear handle 401-2 and also detaches the attachment unit 411 as shown in FIG. 8c, the nail applique 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure is deformed so that the adhesive of the attachment unit 411 is exposed.

[0068] At this time, the user may grip the handle 412 including the rear handle 401-2, attach the attachment unit 411 to a front portion of the nail or toenail of the user by means of the adhesive, and cut the attachment unit 411 into a desired size by using a tool.

[0069] Therefore, since a user grips the rear handle 401-2 and the handle 412 and easily attaches the nail applique 400 according to the fourth embodiment of the present disclosure to the nail or toenail of the user, it is possible to prevent the adhesive from being contaminated and thus becoming dirt and also from deteriorating its adhesive force.

[0070] While the present invention has been described in detail with respect to the embodiments, this is just for illustrating the present disclosure in detail, and the present disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0071] In addition, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various changes and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure.
