BACKGROUND ART
[0002] The bungalow is a kind of an architecture in the tropical
region and represents an accommodation at a resort, which in
general is made in the form of a wooden 2-floor building and
ventilates well since it is made of palm tree leaves or reed
leaves. In Korea, such a bungalow represents a temporal small size
building which is commonly build near a beach or other tourist
attraction spots for the sake of temporal visitors.
[0003] Most of the bungalows are made of wooden materials, so
building walls and a roof costs a lot, and it takes long time to
construct such bungalows.
[0004] In particular, the demand for the bungalow increases during
the peak season, for example, holidays, however it is very hard to
manage and maintain the bungalow during the non-peak season since
the demand for the bungalow is almost less.
[0005] In addition, the bungalow may be recognized as a building,
but it inevitably needs to damage natural environment in order to
build the bungalows, so it is hard to supply more bungalows to the
guest during the peak seasons.

corner slide engaging units which slide along the legs, thus
forming 4 corners of the canopy; a first rib outer member an end of
one side of which is hinged at the ridge and in which the support
member engaging unit inserts and slides; a first rib inner member
which inserts in the inside of an end of the other side of the
first rib outer member and slides in and out, wherein an end of the
first rib inner member is hinged at a joint; a second rib member an
end of one side of which is hinged at the joint, and an end of the
other side of which is hinged at the corner engaging unit, wherein
an engaging member engaging unit inserts and slides; a reinforcing
member one side of which is hinged at a reinforcing member engaging
unit and the other side of which is hinged at the corner slide
engaging unit, thus supporting the rib member; and an X-link

and a canopy 100 which is engaged to the top of the raised floor
200.
[0078] The canopy 100, as depicted in FIG. 3, includes four legs
123, and a ridge 101 formed in the center of the four legs 123.
Each of the legs 123 is connected through the rib member 109 to the
ridge 101, thus forming the canopy 100.
[0079] As for the canopy 100 in more details, a ridge pole outer
member 102 and a ridge pole inner member 103 both supporting the
ridge 101 are formed in the center of the canopy 100.
[0080] The ridge pole inner member 103 is configured to slide in
the inside of the ridge pole outer member 102 on the lower side of
the ride pole outer member 102. When the canopy 100 spreads out,
the ridge pole inner member 103 is inserted into the inside of the
ridge pole outer member 102, so the ridge inner member 103, as
depicted in FIG. 5, is not seen from outside, and when the canopy
100 is folded, the ridge pole inner member 103, as depicted in FIG.
6, protrudes from the ridge pole outer member 102, so it becomes
visible to eyes.
[0081] At the lower end of the ridge pole outer member 102, a
center slide engaging unit 104 is engaged sliding along the ridge
pole outer member 102, and the center lower engaging unit 105 is
fixedly engaged at the lower end of the ridge pole inner member
103.
[0082] The legs 123 are formed in the four corners of the canopy
100. In the leg 123, as depicted in FIG. 3, a corner engaging unit
118 is formed at the top of each of the legs 123, and the corner
slide engaging unit 119 is disposed, which can slide along the leg
123.
[0083] The X-link 120 connected in series using the 2-branched link
engaging unit 121 is hinged at the corner engaging unit 118 engaged
to the top of the legs 123 and at the corner slide engaging unit
119 which slides along the leg 123, thus forming four sides of the
canopy 100.
[0084] In the x-link 120, two rods are hinged in the center.
[0085] In the canopy 100, as depicted in FIG. 3, the four X-links
120 are connected in series using the 2-branched link engaging unit
121, thus forming the sides of the canopy 100.
[0086] In addition, there are provided rib members 109 connecting
the four corners of the ridge 101 and the canopy 100. The rib
member 109 is formed of a first rib member and a second rib member
108.
[0087] The first rib member is formed of a first rid outer member
106 and a first rib inner member 107. The first rib inner member
107 is inserted in the inside of the first rib outer member 106 and
slides in and out of the first rib outer member 106.
[0088] An end of one side of the first rib outer member 106 is
hinged at the ridge 101, and into an end of the other side of the
first rib outer member 106, the first rib inner member 107 is
inserted, and the end of the first rib inner member 107 is hinged
at the joint 112.
[0089] In addition, an end of one side of the second rib member 108
is hinged at the joint 112, and an end of the other side of the
second rib member 108 is hinged at the corner engaging unit
118.
[0090] A reinforcing member engaging unit 115 fixedly engaged to
the second rib member 108 is formed at the second rib member 108,
and one side of the reinforcing member 117 is hinged at the
reinforcing member engaging unit 115. The other side of the
reinforcing member 117 is hinged at the corner slide engaging unit
119 which slides along the leg 123.
[0091] When the canopy 100 spread out, the reinforcing members 117
are supported by the legs, thus supporting the rib members 109, so
it is possible to prevent any sagging and damages of the rib
members 109 due to external weight or impacts.
[0092] In addition, an end of one side of the support member 110 is
hinged at the support member engaging unit 111 fixedly engaged to
the first rib outer member 106, and an end of the other side of the
support member 110 is hinged at the center lower engaging unit 105
engaged to the lower end of the ridge support inner member 103.
[0093] The support member 110 is supported by the ridge pole 101
and plays a role of preventing the sagging or damages of the rib
members 109.
[0094] In the canopy 100, the rib members 109 most receive load. In
case of the large size canopy 100 according to the present
invention, the rib members 109 may be easily sagged or damaged by
even minute impacts. Both sides of the rib member 109 are supported
by the reinforcing member 117 and the support member 110, thus
distributing the loads which apply to the rib members 109, so it is
possible to stably support the loads which apply to the rib members
109 of the canopy 100.
[0095] As depicted in FIGS. 3 and 5, when the canopy 100 is folded,
the canopy 100 is folded as depicted in FIGS. 4 and 6, thus
reducing the entire volume. When the canopy 100 is folded as in
FIGS. 4 and 6, the rib members 109 are folded about the joints 112.
At this time, when the joints 112 are bent, the first rib inner
member 107 slides in the inside of the first rib outer member 106,
and the first rib outer member 106 hinged at the ridge 101 rotates
downward, and the support member 110 hinged at the support member
engaging unit 111 fixedly engaged at the first rib outer member 106
moves the center lower engaging unit 105 downward.
[0096] As the center lower engaging unit 105 slides downward, the
ridge pole inner member 103 inserted in the inside of the ridge
pole outer member 106 slides and separates, so the first rib outer
member 106 and the support member 110 are folded.
[0097] In addition, as the canopy 100 is folded, the second rib
member 108 hinged at the corner engaging unit 118 rotates downward,
and the reinforcing member 117 hinged at the reinforcing member
engaging unit 115 fixedly engaged to the second rib member 108
pushes the corner slide engaging unit 119, so the corner slide
engaging unit 119 slides downward along the leg 123, and the second
rib member 108 and the reinforcing member 117 are folded.
[0098] The extending leg 124 is inserted in the inside of the lower
end of the leg 123, thus raising the height of the canopy 100. When
the canopy 100 is folded, the hook 130 formed at the lower end of
the leg 123 is unhooked, and the extending leg 124 can be inserted
in the inside of the leg 123, thus contracting the length.
[0099] The stopper 116 which protrudes from the reinforcing member
117 allows to smoothly unfold the canopy 100 when the folded canopy
100 spreads out.
[0100] The stopper 116 is installed at the reinforcing member 117,
and when the canopy 100 is folded, the stopper 116, as depicted in
FIG. 6, contacts with the leg 123 and guides the reinforcing member
117 to widen at a predetermined angle with respect to the leg 123,
thus facilitating easier unfolding when the canopy 100 spreads
out.
[0101] In case of absence of the stopper 116, the enter axes of the
reinforcing member 117 and the leg 123 become parallel. If the
canopy 100 spreads out in this state, the second rib member 108,
the reinforcing member 117 and the leg 123 cross one another, for
which a problem may occur since the canopy 100 does not spread out
well.
[0102] Therefore, the stopper 116 is preferably provided in the
earlier mentioned way, thus forming a triangular configuration with
the aid of the second rib member 108, the leg 123 and the
reinforcing member 117, so the canopy 100 can smoothly spread out
when unfolding the canopy 100.
[0103] As depicted in FIG. 3, the X-link 120 is connected in series
through the 2-branched link engaging unit 121, so both ends thereof
are hinged at the corner engaging unit 118 and the corner slide
engaging unit 119 of the leg 123. One side of the X-link 120, which
is connected in series, is hinged at the 3-branched link engaging
unit 122 engaged at the intermediate portion of the X-link 120
which is connected in series, and the other side of the X-link 120
is hinged at the center slide engaging unit 104 and at the center
lower engaging unit 105 of each ridge pole, so the loads
concentrating at the ridge 101 can distribute, and the canopy 100
can stably support the loads.
[0104] In case where a large size canopy 100 is provided, the
center support member 125, as depicted in FIG. 7, is inserted in an
insertion port (not depicted) at the lower end of the center lower
engaging unit 105, so the center support member 125 can stably
support the loads which apply to the ridge 101 and the rib member
109.
[0105] Even though the large size canopy 100 is provided by
installing the center support member 125 on the lower side of the
ridge pole, the loads which apply to the ridge 101 of the canopy
100 and the rib member 109 can be effectively supported, thus
building a stable canopy 100.
[0106] When the canopy 100 spreads out, as depicted in FIG. 8, a
cover 114 the cross section of which looks like is engaged at the
joint 112, so that the canopy 100 can effectively support external
impact or loads, and it is preferred that the canopy 100 is
configured not to swing or move by external load or impact.
[0107] As depicted in FIG. 8, a slide groove 113 is formed on both
sides of the body of the joint 112 which hinges the first rib inner
member 107 and the second rib member 108, and a protrusion (not
depicted) is formed on the inner side of both lower sides of the
cover 114. In this state, if the cover 114 is engaged at the joint
112 in the way as depicted in FIG. 8, the protrusion of the cover
114 inserts in the slide groove 113 of the joint 112, so the cover
114 can be fixed at the joint 112.
[0108] When loads apply to the rib member 109, the first rib inner
member 107 and the second rib member 108 might bend a little about
the joint 112, and the canopy 100 might swing. As described above,
it is possible to prevent the first rib inner member 107 and the
second rib member 108 from bending by loads or impact by engaging
the cover 114 to the joint 112, so the canopy 100 can be
effectively prevented from swinging by impacts or loads.
[0109] As depicted in FIG. 5, in an effort to stably support the
loads which apply to the reinforcing member 117 which supports the
rib member 109, the hook 130, as depicted in FIG. 5, is provided at
the corner slide engaging unit 119, and hole (not depicted) is
formed at the leg 123. Therefore, when the canopy 100 spreads out,
the hook 130 fixes the corner slier engaging unit 119 at the leg
123, thus effectively supporting external impacts or loads, while
preventing the canopy 100 from moving by external loads or
impacts.
[0110] As depicted in FIG. 11, in the hook 130, a handle 131
sliding along the hook body 133 is formed on one side of the corner
slide engaging unit 119, and a protrusion 132 protrudes from an
inner side of the insertion member 126 of the corner slide engaging
unit 119.
[0111] The protrusion 132 is elastically supported by a spring (not
depicted) and in the inside of the body 133 of the hook 130,
elastically protudes into the inside of the insertion member 126 or
is inserted into the inside of the body 133 of the hook 130. Here,
the protrusion 132 is connected to the handle 131 and in the inside
of the body 133 of the hook 130. When the user pulls the handle
131, the protrusion 132 inserts in the inside of the body 133, and
when the user releases the handle 131, the protrusion 132 protrudes
into the inside of the insertion member 126.
[0112] The thusly constituted hook 130, as depicted in FIG. 12, is
provided at the center slide engaging unit 104. When the canopy 100
spreads out, the ridge pole inner member 103 inserts in the inside
of the ridge pole outer member 102. When the hole (not depicted) of
the ridge pole inner member 103 is arranged matching with the hole
(not depicted) punched out at the ridge pole outer member 102, the
protrusion 132 of the hook 130 inserts into the matching holes, so
the ridge pole outer member 102 and the ridge pole inner member 103
are fixed, not moving with respect to each other, thus effectively
supporting external impacts or loads, while preventing the canopy
100 from moving due to external loads or impacts.
[0113] In addition, as depicted in FIG. 9, the ends of the first
rib inner member 107 and the second rib member 108 both hinged at
the joint 112 are formed in semicircular shapes, and the outer
surfaces of the semicircular ends contact with the inner surface of
the joint 112.
[0114] In the above configuration, since the first rib inner member
107 and the second rib member 108 contact with the inner surface of
the joint 112, no gaps are formed, thus effectively preventing any
movements of the canopy 100.
[0115] In the same way, as depicted in FIG. 10, the end of the
reinforcing member 17 hinged at the reinforcing member engaging
unit 115 engaged to the second rib member 108 is formed in a
semicircular shape, and the outer surface at the end of the
reinforcing member 117 is configured to rotate contacting with the
inner surface of the reinforcing member engaging unit 115, which
makes it possible to effectively support external impacts or loads,
and the canopy 100 does not swing by external loads or impacts.
[0116] The thusly constituted canopy 100 is engaged to the top of
the raised floor 200, thus forming a bungalow. The raised floor
200, as depicted in FIG. 13, may be configured in such a way that
the support members 203 to which the corner engaging units 204 as
depicted in FIG. 17 are engaged on its upper and lower sides form
four corners of the raised floor 200. Both ends of the X-link 202
connected in series through the 3-branched link engaging unit 205
in FIG. 16 are hinged at the corner engaging unit 204 engaged to
the top and bottom of the support member 203, by which the X-link,
which is connected in series, forms 4 sides of the raised floor
200.
[0117] As not depicted in the drawings, the support member 203 is
formed of a support member outer member (not depicted) and a
support member (inner member), and the corner engaging unit 203 is
engaged to the top of the support member outer member, and the
support member inner member slides in and out of the inside on the
lower side of the support member outer member, and the corner
engaging unit 204 is engaged to the end of the support member inner
member.
[0118] In addition, each end formed in the grid shape as the X-link
202 is continuously hinged through the 4-branched link engaging
unit 206 in FIG. 15 and is configured in a grid shape and as the
X-link 202 is continuously hinged through the 4-branched link
engaging unit 206 and is configured in a grid shape is hinged at
the 3-branched link engaging unit 205 of the X-link 202, which is
connected in series, forming 4 sides of the raised floor 200, so
the raised floor formed in a go board when viewing from the top as
depicted in FIG. 13
[0119] In addition, a predetermined number of the upper plates 201
are placed on the top of the raised floor 200, thus forming the
raised floor 200.
[0120] The leg 123 or the extending leg 124 of the canopy 100 is
inserted in the engaging grooves (not depicted) of the support
member 203 and of the corner engaging unit 204 of the raised floor
200, thus forming a bungalow of the present invention as depicted
in FIG. 1.
[0121] The thusly constituted bungalow of the present invention can
be installed separate from the canopy 100 and the raised floor 200
for the sake of separate use. The bungalow, as depicted in FIG. 1,
may be manufactured and used by simply engaging the canopy 100 and
the raised floor 200.
[0122] In addition, if the canopy 100 and the raised floor 200, as
depicted in FIG. 1, are folded in a state where the canopy 100 and
the raised floor 200 are engaged, they, as depicted in FIG. 2, can
be easily folded, for example, even in a state where the canopy 100
and the raised floor 200 are engaged, so installation and
disassembling are easy, and carrying and storage are very easy.
[0123] Since the large-sized bungalow according to the present
invention can be easily installed or disassembled, as many
bungalows as possible can be quickly installed during the peak
season when there is a lot of demand for bungalows, thus providing
the guests. It is advantageous that the bungalows can be folded
during the non-peak season and can be easily stored.
[0124] In addition, the bungalows of the present invention can be
easily installed and disassembled and can provide a space big
enough for the guests, for example, families, to use and no gaps
are formed between each component of the bungalow, so the bungalow
does not move by wind or external impact and could not collapse or
could not be damaged due to heavy rain or heavy snow while stably
withstanding such impacts.
[0125] The large-sized bungalow which can be easily installed and
disassembled according to the present invention, so far, has been
described.
[0126] It should be understood that the technical configuration of
the present invention can be implemented in other forms by those
