DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0016] FIGS. 1-4 show a preferred embodiment of a portable bookcase in the present invention, with the scope of this invention not limited by the shape of bookcase shown in FIGS. 1-4. Any modification made based on the basic technique related to this portable bookcase may also be included in the scope of this invention. A first preferred embodiment of a portable bookcase in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1-4, includes a case 1 of any shape. The case 1 can be provided with one single opening 10 or plural openings 10, and the opening 10 can be formed at the front side or the rear side of the case 1, or at the upper side of the case 1, as shown in FIG. 7, or in any direction of the case 1 in accordance with requirements.

[0017] Referring to FIGS. 1-4, the case 1 is formed with a left side 11 and a right side 12 respectively having a lower edge bored with a moving groove 110 and 120, which is formed with a certain depth (w) by making use of the thickness of a side plank or a side plastic plate of the case 1, and the moving groove 110, 120 can be a rectangular shape, a square shape or other geometric shapes so long as the moving groove 110, 120 enables a user's fingers to extend therein for moving the case 1. The purpose of providing the moving grooves 110, 120 is that it is comparatively safe to move the case 1 from its underside when the case 1 is impossible to be lifted.

[0018] Further, referring to FIGS. 1-4, the left side 11 and the right side 12 of the case 1 have their upper edges respectively disposed with a lifting handle 111 and 121 respectively formed with a lifting groove 112 and 122 so that a user's fingers can extend therethrough for lifting up the case 1 under a permissible condition. The shape of the lifting handles 111, 121 must match with the shape of the moving grooves 110, 120 and can be formed into a rectangular shape, a square shape or other geometric shapes so long as a user can lift the case 1 by grasping the lifting handle 111, 121.

[0019] Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, since the left side 11 and the right side 12 of the case 1 have their lower edges respectively provided with the moving groove 110 and 120, which respectively corresponds to the lifting handles 111 and 121 at the upper edges of the left side and the right side of the case 1; therefore, an upper case 1a and a lower case 1b can be mutually superposed and combined together by having the moving grooves 110 and 120 of the upper case 1a respectively joined with the lifting handles 111 and 121 of the lower case 1b, and after being superposed and combined together, the two cases 1a and 1b can keep their connected sides flat. In the same way as mentioned above, a plurality of units of the cases 1 can be freely superposed and combined according to practical needs and if necessary, the superposed cases 1 can be disassembled any time to have a single case 1 serving as a temporary seat.

[0020] To sum up, the portable bookcase of this invention has the case 1 provided with the moving grooves 110, 120 at the lower edges for a user's fingers to extend therein for moving the case 1 from its underside and further provided with the lifting handles 111, 121 at the upper edges for a user to lift the case 1. In addition, an upper case and a lower case of this invention can be superposed and combined together by having the moving grooves of the upper case respectively joined with the lifting handles of the lower case. Therefore, the portable bookcase of this invention is progressive and original in structure, able to be moved from the underside or lifted up by lifting handles, and also able to be superposed and combined together.
