Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of electronic
cigarette.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Existing electronic cigarette typically includes a
cylindrical shaped casing, inside of the casing is equipped with a
tobacco-liquid cup for holding tobacco-liquid, an atomizer for
atomizing the tobacco-liquid to smoke, and a storage power source
for supplying power for the atomizer. A part of the casing is
provided with a mouthpiece cover for sucking by smokers, the number
of the mouthpiece cover is only one and the thickness of the
inner-wall thereof is relatively thin. Since smoke flows out of the
electronic cigarette via the mouthpiece cover from the inner of the
electronic cigarette, and the vent hole of the mouthpiece cover is
commonly a linear vent hole, some fine particles of the
tobacco-liquid included in the smoke will be sucked into the mouth
of the smoker directly from the linear vent hole, thus a phenomenon
that the smokers suck in tobacco-liquid occurs. Moreover, due to
the relatively thin wall thickness or the single-wall design of the
inner wall of the mouthpiece cover, hot smoke will transfer heat
with the mouthpiece cover when flowing through the mouthpiece
cover, which leads to a continuous increasing of the mouthpiece
temperature, exhibits a potential safety hazard of the smoker mouth
being burnt or scalded. In addition, because the tobacco-liquid cup
is provided with components such as a cup seat and an atomizer seat
etc. inside, this complex inner structure results in time-consuming
and inconvenient during assembly and disassembly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0034] It should be noted that, in case no interference is resulted
in, the embodiments and features contained herein may be combined
with each other. The present invention is described in greater
detail in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and
embodiments. For purposes of description, direction shown in FIG.
15 will be referred in this embodiment.
[0035] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, a first embodiment of the present
invention provides an electronic cigarette 100, which is an
integrated electronic cigarette including a casing 1, the casing 1
is an integrated casing and shaped as a hollow cylinder. One end of
the casing 1 is provided with a mouthpiece component 4 for sucking
by smoker, and the other end of the casing 1 is closed by a base
cover 19 on which an intake hole and an indicator light (not marked
in the Fig.) are provided. Material of the casing 1 employs any one
of following materials with the required hardness: metals,
plastics, wood or paper materials.
[0036] The electronic cigarette 100 also includes: an atomizer 21
for transferring the tobacco-liquid into smoke by atomizing, a duct
35 for smoke flowing therethrough, a liquid-storage member 37 for
storing tobacco-liquid, a liquid isolating member 31 for preventing
tobacco-liquid from leaking, a storage power source 36 as well as a
separate member 38 disposed between the liquid isolating member 31
and the storage power source 36, provided in the casing 1.
[0037] The mouthpiece component 4 includes a mouthpiece main cover
41 and a mouthpiece vice cover 42 used in combination with the
mouthpiece main cover 41, a cooling cavity for cooling the fine
tobacco-liquid particles contained in the smoke on the inner wall
thereof and allowing for the heat being absorbed by the mouthpiece
main cover 41 and the mouthpiece vice cover 42 as a share while the
smoke flowing through the mouthpiece component 4 is formed between
the mouthpiece main cover 41 and the mouthpiece vice cover 42. The
mouthpiece main cover 41 is inserted into the casing 1 and fixed to
the inner wall of the casing by tensionally engaging of the outer
side wall thereof. The mouthpiece main cover 41 includes a
cylindrical main cover body 410 formed by combination of a bottom
wall and a side wall and comprising a main cover cooling cavity
413, an insertion peg 411 is formed on the bottom wall of the
mouthpiece main cover 41 and axially extends outward, a vent hole
412 is provided in the middle of the insertion peg 411, axially
perforating the mouthpiece main cover 41 and communicating with the
center through hole of the duct 35, a locating rim 414 matching the
casing 1 is formed on the top end outer wall of the mouthpiece main
cover 41 and radially extends outward. The mouthpiece vice cover 42
is inserted into the main cover cooling cavity 413 of the
mouthpiece main cover 41 and tensionally fixed to the side wall of
the main cover cooling cavity 413. The mouthpiece vice cover 42
includes a cylindrical vice cover body 420 formed by combination of
a top wall and a side wall and comprising a vice cover cooling
cavity 422, a vent hole 421 is provided on the top wall of the vice
cover body 420 and axially perforating to allow for venting between
the inside and outside of the vice cover cooling cavity 422.
[0038] Since the vice cover cooling cavity 422 of the mouthpiece
vice cover 42 is communicating with the main cover cooling cavity
413 of the mouthpiece main cover 41, the smoke enters into the main
cover cooling cavity 413 from the vent hole 412 in the mouthpiece
main cover 41, and then enters into the mouth of a smoker from the
vent hole 421 of the mouthpiece vice cover 42 through the vice
cover cooling cavity 422 of the mouthpiece vice cover 42. In this
process, a part of fine tobacco-liquid particles contained in the
smoke are cooled and condensed into tobacco-liquid drops on the
side wall of the vent hole 412 of the mouthpiece main cover 41 and
flow back to the duct 35, the other part of fine tobacco-liquid
particles contained in the smoke continue to be cooled and
condensed into tobacco-liquid drops on the top wall and side wall
of the vice cover cooling cavity 422, the tobacco-liquid drops
remain in the mouthpiece vice cover 422 or flow back to the duct 35
through the side wall of the vent hole 412 of the mouthpiece main
cover 41. The amount of the fine tobacco-liquid particles contained
in the smoke are reduced significantly after cooling and condensing
twice in the mouthpiece cover component 4, thus the possibility of
tobacco-liquid particles being inhaled in smoker mouth is greatly
reduced or avoided. Meanwhile, the smoke will transfer heat with
the mouthpiece component 4 when flowing through the mouthpiece
component 4, and the heat exchanged may be absorbed by the
mouthpiece main cover 41 and the mouthpiece vice cover 42 and also
be distributed and shared by both. Therefore, the mouthpiece main
cover 41 and the mouthpiece vice cover 42 each has a relatively low
increased temperature when exchanging heat with the smoke
respectively, which can prevent the smoker from burning or scalding
at time of sucking the mouthpiece component 4, and thus improve the
utilization safety. In order to further improve the utilization
safety of the mouthpiece cover component 4, the mouthpiece main
cover 41 and the mouthpiece vice cover 42 are both made from
plastic materials with better heat insulation effect.
[0039] Inside the casing of the electronic cigarette 100 is
provided with an atomization device (not marked in the Fig.) for
transferring the tobacco-liquid into smoke by atomizing. The
atomizer 21 is a part of the atomization device. The atomization
device also includes a control board 22 for controlling the
operation of the atomizer 21 and a control board support 23. The
control board 22 is placed in the control board support 23, and a
micro-pneumatic switch is provided on the control board 22 to
control the circuit to energize in order to make the electric heat
wire start to work. The atomizer 21 includes an electric heat wire
211 and a liquid guiding member 212 for absorbing the
tobacco-liquid and supporting the electric heat wire 211, the
electric heat wire 211 winds around the liquid guiding member 212.
The liquid guiding member 212 can absorb and store the
tobacco-liquid, and can be made from glass fiber or materials with
liquid absorbent and liquid storage properties, such as cotton
materials. In the present example, the liquid guiding member 212 is
accommodated and fixed in the duct 35 which will be described
hereafter, and both ends of the electric heat wire 211 respectively
run through the liquid isolating member 31 and are electrically
connecting with the positive electrode and the negative electrode
of the control board 22.
[0040] The liquid isolating member 31 is inserted into the casing 1
and is fixed to the inner wall of the casing 1 by the tensional
engagement of the outer side wall thereof, the liquid isolating
member 31 is shaped as a cylinder and includes a main body 310

is provided with a wire guiding hole 315 locating at the outside of
the insertion peg 312 and axially perforating the bottom wall of
the liquid isolating member 31.
[0041] In this example, the liquid isolating member 31, the
mouthpiece main cover 41 and a part of the casing 1 together form a
closed space similar to the conventional tobacco-liquid cup for
storing the tobacco-liquid. The liquid isolating member 31 and the
mouthpiece main cover 41 are fixed to the inner wall of the casing
1 oppositely and spaced with a certain distance. The liquid
isolating member 31 is used for preventing the tobacco-liquid in
the liquid-storage member 37 from leaking out of the closed space.
In the closed space is proved with a liquid-storage member 37 for
storing the tobacco-liquid and a duct 35 for supporting the
liquid-storage member, the liquid-storage member 37 is sleeved on
the outside of the duct 35 and located between the liquid isolating

and can be made from plastic or fiber materials such as glass fiber
tube, including a top portion and a bottom portion, wherein the top
portion is inserted with the insertion peg 411 of the mouthpiece
main cover 41, and the bottom portion is abutted with the liquid
isolating member 31 and sleeved on the insertion peg 311 of the
liquid isolating member 31, that is, the insertion peg 311 of the
liquid isolating member 31 is inserted and fixed into the duct 35.
The center through hole of the duct 35 is communicated with the
vent hole 412 of the mouthpiece main cover 41 and the vent hole 313
of the liquid isolating member 31 respectively. A fixing groove 351
for supporting and fixing the liquid guiding member 212 is provided
in the duct 35 and runs through the tube wall, the liquid guiding
member 212 lies across the inside of the duct 35 and both ends
thereof separately run through the fixing groove 351 and abut to
the liquid-storage member 37 to absorb the tobacco-liquid for
atomizing by the electric heat wire 211.
[0043] The liquid-storage member 37 is used for absorbing and
storing the tobacco-liquid in order for the atomizer 2 atomizing
the tobacco-liquid subsequently, and can be made from materials
with liquid absorbent and liquid storage properties, such as cotton
material. The liquid-storage member 37 has a hollow cylinder
structure, and is sleeved on the outer side of the duct 35 and
tensionally engaged with the outer wall of the duct 35 to support.
The inner side wall of the liquid-storage member 37 is also abutted
with the liquid guiding member 212. The tobacco-liquid penetrates
from the liquid-storage member 37 to the inside of the liquid
guiding member 212, and is evaporated to smoke by the electric heat
wire 211 after being absorbed.
[0044] During smoking, external air enters from the intake hole on
the bottom of the casing 1, through the vent hole 313 of the liquid
isolating member 31, the center through hole of the duct 35, the
vent hole 412 of the mouthpiece main cover 41, the vent hole 421 of
the mouthpiece vice cover 42 flows out of the casing 1, forming an
air path inside the electronic cigarette, and the electronic
cigarette communicating with external air smoothly. Of course,
external air can also enters directly from the vent hole 421 of the
mouthpiece vice cover 42 through the vent hole 412 of the
mouthpiece main cover 41 into the casing 1 and reach inside of the
duct 35. When tobacco-liquid in the liquid-storage member 37 runs
out, the tobacco-liquid can be reloaded by pulling out the
mouthpiece cover component 4.
[0045] As shown in FIGS. 7 to 10, a second embodiment of the
present invention provides an electronic cigarette 100', which has

422''; a locating rim 423'' matching with the casing 1 is formed on
the top end outer side wall of the mouthpiece vice cover 42'' and
radially extending outward. At this time, the space between the
mouthpiece main cover 41'' and the mouthpiece vice cover 42'' which
is inside part of the casing 1 can also be deemed as a part of the
vice cover cooling cavity 422''.
[0048] Since the vice cover cooling cavity 422'' of the mouthpiece
vice cover 42'' is communicating with the main cover cooling cavity
412'' of the mouthpiece main cover 41'', the smoke enters into the
vice cover cooling cavity 422'' of the mouthpiece vice cover 42''
from the vent hole 412'' in the mouthpiece main cover 41'', and
then enters into the mouth of a smoker from the vent hole 421'' of
the mouthpiece vice cover 42''. In this process, the principle of
the mouthpiece cover component 4'' is the same with that of the
mouthpiece cover component 4, and will not be described in details
herein. The mouthpiece cover component 4'' and the mouthpiece cover
component 4 play the same role and have the same effect.
[0049] As shown in FIGS. 15 to 18, a fourth embodiment of the
present invention provides an electronic cigarette 200, which has a
substantially same internal structure with that of the electronic
cigarette 100, except for that the electronic cigarette 200
includes a mouthpiece cover component 5 similar to the mouthpiece
cover component 4, wherein the mouthpiece cover component 5 also
includes a mouthpiece main cover 51 and a mouthpiece vice cover 52
used in combination with the mouthpiece main cover 52, a cooling
cavity substantially identical with the cooling cavity described in
the first embodiment is also formed between the mouthpiece main
cover 51 and the mouthpiece vice cover 52. The mouthpiece main
cover 51 is first inserted into the casing 1 and tensionally fitted
to the inner wall of the casing 1 by the outer side wall thereof.
The mouthpiece vice cover 52 is then inserted in the casing 1 and
tensionally fixed to the inner side wall of the casing 1, meanwhile
abutted to the mouthpiece main cover 51 or distanced at an
appropriate distance. In this embodiment, the space inside part of
the casing 1 which is between the mouthpiece main cover 51 and the
mouthpiece vice cover 52 can also be deemed as a part of the
cooling cavity.
[0050] As shown in FIG. 16, the mouthpiece main cover 51 further
includes a cylindrical main cover body 510 formed by combination of
a top wall and a side wall and having an accommodation cavity 513
formed inside, the main cover body 510 tensionally engaging with
the inner side wall of the casing 1 by the side wall thereof, an
insertion peg 511 for inserting with the duct 35 to define one end
of the duct 35 is formed inside of the mouthpiece main cover 51 and
extends axially from the top wall to the atomizer 21 direction, the
insertion peg 511 is shaped as a cylinder, a vent hole 512 is
provided in the middle of the insertion peg 511 and axially runs
through the whole mouthpiece main cover 51 and communicates with
the center through hole of the duct 35. As shown in FIG. 17 and
FIG. 18, the mouthpiece vice cover 52 includes a cylindrical vice
cover body 520 formed by combination of a top wall and a side wall
and comprising a vice cover cooling cavity 522, a vent column 521
is formed inside the mouthpiece vice cover 52 and extends axially
from the top wall to the atomizer 21 direction, a bending-type vent
hole is provided on the mouthpiece vice cover 52 for the inside of
the vice cover cooling cavity 522 communicating with the external
of the electronic cigarette 200, the bending-type vent hole is
formed inside the vent column 521 and communicates with the
external air of the mouthpiece vice cover 52, the so-called
bending-type vent hole represents a nonlinear vent hole bending at
least once to change the smoke flow path. The vent column 521 is
shaped as a cylinder and the bottom thereof is closed, an axial
vent hole 523 communicating with the external of the mouthpiece
vice cover is formed inside the vent column 521 and axially extends
outward, at least one radial vent hole 524 communicating with the
axial vent hole 523 is radially provided to a part of the vent
column 521 within the vice cover cooling cavity 522, so as to allow
the vice cover cooling cavity 522 to communicate with the axial
vent hole 523, thus allow the inner of the vice cover cooling
cavity 522 to communicate with external; the bending-type vent hole
is composed of the axial vent hole and the at least one radial vent
hole. In this embodiment, 4 radial vent holes 524 are provided on
the vent column 521. But the number of the radial vent holes 524 is
not limited to 4 and can be set depending on the actual smoke
amount. A locating rim 525 matching the casing 1 is formed on the
top end outer side wall of the mouthpiece vice cover 52 and
radially extends outward .
[0051] Since the vice cover cooling cavity 522 of the mouthpiece
vice cover 52 is communicating with the vent hole 512 of the
mouthpiece main cover 51, the smoke enters the vice cover cooling
cavity 522 of the mouthpiece vice cover 52 via the vent hole 512 on
the mouthpiece main cover 51, and enters the smoker mouth via the
bending-type vent hole on the vent column 521, that is, enters the
axial vent hole 523 via the radial vent hole 524 and then enters
the smoker mouth via the axial vent hole 523. Since the smoke
changes the flow path during flowing through the bending-type vent
hole, few fine tobacco-liquid particles contained in the smoke
remain after the first cooling by the vice cover cooling cavity
522, and the remained fine tobacco-liquid particles are
continuously cooled and condense on the inner wall of the radial
vent hole 524, which can further reach the goal of reducing or
avoiding the inhaling of the tobacco-liquid by smoker. In this
process, the principle of the mouthpiece cover component 5 is the
same with that of the mouthpiece cover component 4, and will not be
described in details herein. The mouthpiece cover component 5 and
the mouthpiece cover component 4 play the same role and have the
same effect.
[0052] The above description discloses the specific embodiments of
the present invention. Note that those skilled in the art will
appreciate multiple modifications and variations in light of the
features of the present invention, and those modifications and
variations shall be deemed within the scope of this invention.
