Embodiment 1

[0019] as shown in FIGS. 1-3, the colourful and bright diamond comprises an even number of main crown facets 1 and an even number of main pavilion facets 6.

[0020] A plurality of first star facets 2 are provided at the top portion of the crown portion, and the first star facets 2 are connected to the main crown facets 1, second star facets 3 are provided at the joint between two adjacent main crown facets 1 and close to the girdle, which could be also named as girdle arris, and the first upper girdle star facets 4 and the second upper girdle star facets 5 are respectively provided at the joints between each second star facet 3 and two adjacent main crown facets 1, and the numbers of the first star facets 2, the second star facets 3, the first upper girdle star facets 4 and the second upper girdle star facets 5 are the same with that of the main crown facets 1 respectively.

[0021] The main pavilion facet 6 is, at its side distal from the girdle, connected with a bottom facet, a third star facet 7 is provided at the joint between two adjacent main pavilion facets 6 and close to the girdle, and the first lower girdle star facets 8 and the second lower girdle star facets 9 are respectively provided at the joints between each third star facet 7 and two adjacent main pavilion facets 6, and the numbers of the third star facets 7, the first lower girdle star facets 8 and the second lower girdle star facets 9 are the same with that of the main pavilion facets 6 respectively.

[0025] The main pavilion facets 6 are, at its side distal from the girdle, connected with a bottom facet, the third star facets 7 are provided at the joint between two adjacent main pavilion facets 6 and close to the girdle, and the first lower girdle star facets 8 and the second lower girdle star facets 9 are respectively provided at the joints between each third star facet 7 and two adjacent main pavilion facets 6, and the numbers of the third star facets 7, the first lower girdle star facets 8 and the second lower girdle star facets 9 are the same with that of the main pavilion facets 6 respectively.

[0026] The crown portion further comprises fourth star facets 11 provided between the first star facets 2 and the main crown facets 1. Increasing the fourth star facets 11 will not change the optical performance and can keep the fine total reflection gross efficiency, and can achieve more styles of the colourful and bright diamond.

[0027] The crown portion comprises a table facet 10 which is connected with the first star facets 2. The first star facets 2 intersect one another at one point. The first star facets 2 of the colourful and bright diamond can be connected with the arranged table facets 10, and can also be connected with one another at one point, thereby forming more styles of the colourful and bright diamond, wherein the number of the main crown facets 1 and the main pavilion facets 6 of the colourful and bright diamond can be 4, 6 or 8, and the colourful and bright diamond can be designed with different styles, for example, a heart shape, a prismatic shape, an oval shape, an octagonal shape, a square shape, a rose shape, a pyramid shape, an olive shape, an emerald shape and etc.

[0028] The angle between the main crown facet 1 and the plane on or in which the girdle is located is 36-38 degrees and the angle between the main pavilion facet 6 and the plane on which the girdle is located is 39-40 degrees. The angle between the second star facet 2 and the plane on which the girdle is located is 35-38 degrees and the angle between the third star facet 7 and the plane on which the girdle is located on 37-39 degrees. The angle between the first upper girdle star facet 4 and the plane on which the girdle is located and the angle between the second upper girdle star facet 5 and the plane on which the girdle is located are 40-43 degrees, and the angle between the first lower girdle star facet 8 and the plane on which the girdle is located and the angle between the second lower girdle star facet 9 and the plane on which the girdle is located are 42-43 degrees. The angle between the first star facet 2 and the table facet 10 is 16-18 degrees and the angle between the fourth star facet 11 and the table facet 10 is 32-34 degrees.

[0029] The width of the table facet 10 is 55-58% of the diameter of the colourful and bright diamond, the height of the crown portion is 16-18% of the diameter of the colourful and bright diamond, the width of the girdle is 2-3% of the diameter of the colourful and bright diamond, the height of a pavilion portion is 42-44% of the diameter of the colourful and bright diamond, the diameter of the bottom facet is 1-2% of the diameter of the colourful and bright diamond, and the height of the colourful and bright diamond is 58-61% of the diameter of the colourful and bright diamond.

[0030] The colourful and bright diamond according to the above embodiment is provided with multiple facets, and the angles of the facets are properly arranged, so that it has better optical performances, and its gross efficiency of the total reflection is two 90% and the optical performance is 12 times than that of the existing old diamonds.

[0031] The reason that the diamond can totally reflect the largest and the most beautiful colourful fire colour is: firstly, it is determined by the total reflection gross efficiency W of the light obtained by the diamond. The total reflection gross efficiency W of the light is further determined by the product of the total reflection lighting rate M of the light and the total reflection efficiency N of the light in the diamond, thus, the calculation equation of the total reflection gross efficiency of the light is: W=MN.

[0032] For example, FIGS. 6 and 7 show a currently usual bright diamond, and the total reflection lighting rate M of the diamond is 45%, the total reflection efficiency N is 9.5/28.5=33.33%, and the total reflection gross efficiency of the light of the diamond is W=MN=45%.times.33.3%=15%, that is, the total reflection gross efficiency of the light of only one small fire colour of each main pavilion facet of the pavilion portion of the diamond is 15%.

[0033] Secondly, depending on the angles of the main crown facets of the crown portion and the angles of the main pavilion facets of the pavilion portion, each main pavilion facet of the pavilion portion of the diamond can reflect two identical fire colours. Thus, the calculation equation of the total reflection gross efficiency of the diamond light is: W=2MN.

[0034] For example, FIGS. 8 and 9 show the colourful and bright diamond provided by the present invention, and its total reflection lighting rate M is 90%, its total reflection efficiency N is 32/32=100%, and its total reflection gross efficiency is W=2MN=2.times.90%.times.100%=90%.times.2, that is, each main pavilion facet of the pavilion portion of the colourful and bright diamond has two fire colours whose light has a total reflection gross efficiency of 90%.times.2.

[0035] Thirdly, the optical performance comparison between the bright diamond and the colourful and bright diamond provided by the present invention is as follows: existing diamond: the colourful and bright diamond provided by the present invention=15%: 90%.times.2=1:12, that is, the optical performance of the colourful and bright diamond provided by the present invention is 12 times of that of the existing diamond.

[0036] The comparison table of the optical performance of the colourful and bright diamond:

TABLE-US-00001 Total Total Comparison reflection Projection Reflection reflection gross object lighting rate efficiency efficiency efficiency Comparison between the two Bright type Less than 33.30% 33.30% 45% .times. 15%/(90% .times. 2) = 1/12, that is, 45% 33.3% = 15% the optical performance of the bright diamond is only 1/12 of the colourful and bright diamond (each main pavilion facet only has one small fire colour). Colourful Up to Up to Up to 90% .times. 100% .times. (90% .times. 2)/15% = 12, that is, and bright 90% 100% 100% 2 = 90% .times. 2 the optical performance of the colourful type and bright diamond is 12 times than that of the bright diamond (each main pavilion facet has two beautiful fire colours as strong as each other).

[0037] Described above are just preferred embodiments of the present invention and are not intended to limit the present invention. For one skilled in the art, the present invention can have various changes. Any modification, style substitution, material replacement and etc. shall all be contained within the scope of protection of the present invention, as long as it is based on the technique and the principle of the present invention.
