Description
BACKGROUND AND FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a utility model for a mesh
bag type in the form of a mesh usable for loading carts such as
shopping trolleys or baskets to carry items such as food, disks, or
bulk commodities in general.
[0002] It is known in the marketplace means that are used to
support, in supermarket trolleys or baskets, items such as boxes,
bags, bottles. These mans are detachable from the trolley with its
contents thereof and, not suffering any damages such as tears or
breakage, and can be reusable.
[0003] Such means generally are of plastic bags made of
polyethylene, polypropylene, or plastic polymers with handles on
the top to fasten with the hands to be carried to another site as a
car.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0004] The present invention relates to synthetic or natural
fibers-made bags subject to be of a mesh-type woven material in the
form of a mesh. The bag has handles of plastic, wood, metal, the
same fabric or a combination of the above or any other existing
material. The bags are placed on the inside of supermarket trolleys
or baskets to facilitate the transfer of items being purchased for
consumption or use at home and workplaces; avoiding or reducing the
use of polyethylene plastic bags.
[0005] The bag may be made in different sizes but keeping the basic
construction features.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0006] The FIG. 1 is a lateral view of the bag in a working
position.
[0007] FIGS. 2A to 2C are front view of the bag in working
position.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The present invention refers to a bag made of synthetic
material such as plastic or natural fibers such as jute or any
other mesh-type woven material in the form of mesh with plastic,
wood, metal handles, of the same fabric or a combination of these
or any other existing material. The bag is placed in the interior
of supermarket trolleys or baskets to facilitate the transfer
thereof, along with items being purchased, to the vehicle or car,
thus avoiding or reducing the use of polyethylene plastic bags.
[0009] As shown in FIG. 1, The bag comprises a series of mesh walls
(1) which are joined together by means of reinforcements (2). To
these reinforcements eyelets are manufactured (3), a safety hook
(4), handles (5) and tie cords (7) when they are reinforcements of
the top edge. The upper reinforcement eyelets (2) include the
handles (5) at the center of the top edge of at least one of the
walls (preferably at least two), either to the side, to the back,
and/or to the front, and taken together these handles to the
reinforcements (6) through reinforcement seams. The handles (5) can
be as many as the end-use permits.
[0010] The reinforcement strips or simply reinforcements (2) are
placed on the wall edges joining by this edge two walls in a mesh
(1), i.e. by each reinforcement strip, two walls are attached and
to these two walls, two other walls are joined to form the bag. As
shown in FIGS. 1 to 2C, there are reinforcements (2) at the bottom,
side walls and upper walls of the bag. An additional function of
the upper reinforcements (for the upper reinforcements only) is to
accommodate one or more tie cords to close the bag once that it has
been filled or that the user does not wish to add more items.
[0011] Although the eyelets are placed in the top upper four
corners of the bag, there is also an embodiment in which the
eyelets can be distributed to other parts, including the lower
corners. The placement of the eyelets may also be done in the
middle or in any part of the reinforcements, whether top, side
and/or lower parts.
[0012] A single bag may be used for the entire inner portion of the
trolley or basket or two or more bags of various sizes (as shown in
FIG. 2A to 20) which allows the separation of products and makes it
easier to move outside of the basket or trolley, as weight may be
distributed in two or more of such bags.
[0013] The bags can be differentiated by their colors or simply by
the type of fabric.
[0014] For example, in FIG. 2A a bag that can be green color is
shown (FIG. 2A) for fruits and vegetables and a second bag (FIG.
2B) in red color for meat and dairy products, and a third bag in
blue (FIG. 2C) for cleaning products, etc. In case of the hand
basket, the bags size that the same basket permits will be
used.
[0015] In FIG. 2B, a bag which comprises a more closed fabric (1A)
that gives a higher mechanical resistance, is schematically
represented. This tissue also provides (1A), the feature to
accommodate smaller objects. In an embodiment, the fabric can be
mixed in opening, i.e. having a portion of the fabric with an open
fabric, and another closer fabric or a double mesh.
[0016] The bag can be made of plastic or any other woven material
and may be comprised by one piece (heat-ironing) or it can be
formed by the union of side walls, bottom and front ones joined by
reinforcements in the same material either by sewing or
heat-ironing, for example. The handles will be attached to the bag
by any of the existing methods, such as: sewing, heat, hooks,
clips, etc. In the referred embodiment sewed joining is
preferred.
[0017] The main attributes of this mesh-type bag in the form of
mesh is that it is:
[0018] Reusable. By its design and resistance, makes it usable for
several times more than any plastic bag used in supermarkets. The
useful life of the mesh type bag in the form of mesh will be up to
the time of breaking or tearing itself.
[0019] Washable. By the type of material used, it may be washed as
often as necessary and is quick-drying.
[0020] Long-lasting. The resistance of the material allows that the
useful life of the mesh type bag in the form of mesh extends for a
lot longer than the plastic bag commonly used in supermarkets.
[0021] Resistant. The mesh woven fabric in the form of mesh and the
material used can withstand more loading kilograms to any plastic
bag currently employed for the same purpose, keeping a low
weight.
[0022] Hand held usable. Can be used inside another container as
hand bag, backpack, vehicle, etc., or simply in the hand.
[0023] Comfort. Plastic, wood or other material handle will provide
comfort for the user to carry the bag, so as to close it, thus
avoiding any product spillage.
[0024] Close. The bag can be provided with a mechanical zipper seal
such as Velcro.RTM. or any other means. Rather than by tie cord or
by zipper or snap.
[0025] Ecological The purpose in this utility model is to replace
the polyethylene or plastic bags that are currently used for
transporting the products. The reuse of this bag abate
significantly the use of plastics that are not biodegradable.
[0026] While there exist similar means to the present invention, it
is desirable to clarify that known bags up to date have at least
two disadvantages that the present invention avoids, specifically
the fact that the mesh of this invention is not so bulky when is
kept, weighs less and does not require a cleaning as thoroughly as
is the case for the known bags that are totally enclosed on the
bottom and the side walls. Secondly, the water used to wash it is
definitely less and the same detergent consumption.
[0027] The mesh can be manufactured with different materials,
depending on several factors, such as the mechanical strength
required or end use devoted for the mesh. For example, It may built
with synthetic fibers such as plastic materials or from natural
fibers such as jute.
[0028] The opening of the mesh is selected according to the items
planned to be carried, although it is also possible to use a double
mesh in the same trolley or basket.
[0029] One major advantage is that in a trolley or basket it may be
placed one, two or more equal or different mesh for ease of
transportation and placement of shopping items. For example,
cleaning articles may be placed in a mesh, in another, articles
that will be billed and in other, more vegetables or meats that
should not be loaded with weight on top thereof.
[0030] The inventive meshes has the advantage of being able to be
transported by one, two or more persons as if they were a backpack
to the shoulder or a larger basket.
[0031] An additional advantage is that it can be manufactured with
100% biodegradable materials unlike the plastic bags commonly used
that can certainly be degradable, but after hundreds of years. They
can even be made with recyclable materials even though they are not
biodegradable giving a new use of materials already used by helping
to keep a healthy environment.
