Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of Invention
[0002] The invention relates to a pedaling device and, in
particular, to a pedaling device with a worktable.
[0003] 2. Related Art
[0004] A pedaling machine in the prior art has a resistance device
that goes with pedaling. The user sits on the seat of the pedaling
machine, and step on the resistance device by both feet to train
his or her body. Very often, the front end of the pedaling machine
is erected with a handle for both hands of the user to grip,
thereby assisting the exercise of pedaling. However, the
conventional pedaling machine does not have a worktable. Thus, it
is somewhat inconvenient.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] An objective of the invention is to provide an office
pedaling device, which has a working surface thereon for users to
exercise while working.
[0006] To achieve the above-mentioned objective, the disclosed
office pedaling device includes a base, a pedaling mechanism, and a
working surface. The base stably stands on the ground. The pedaling
mechanism is installed on the base. The base has a vertical pole,
one end of which is fixed to the base and extends upward. The other
end is provided with an undertaking element. The working surface is
fixed to the undertaking element.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0007] These and other features, aspects and advantages of the
invention will become apparent by reference to the following
description and accompanying drawings which are given by way of
illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the invention,
and wherein:
[0008] FIG. 1 is a three-dimensional bottom view of the first
embodiment of the invention;
[0009] FIG. 2 is a planar side view of the first embodiment of the
invention;
[0010] FIG. 3 is a locally enlarged view of the control unit in
FIG. 2;
[0011] FIG. 4 is a planar side view of the first embodiment of the
invention, showing that the control unit can be separated and
disposed on a table plate;
[0012] FIG. 5 is a three-dimensional bottom view of the second
embodiment of the invention;
[0013] FIG. 6 is a three-dimensional exploded view of the second
embodiment of the invention;
[0014] FIG. 7 is a planar side view of the second embodiment of the
invention; and
[0015] FIGS. 8 and 9 are locally enlarged views of the adjusting
mechanism in FIG. 7, showing the states of the adjusting
mechanism.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] The present invention will be apparent from the following
detailed description, which proceeds with reference to the
accompanying drawings, wherein the same references relate to the
same elements.
[0017] Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 2 for a first embodiment of the
office pedaling device according to the invention. The device
includes a pedaling machine and a working surface. In this
embodiment, the working surface is a flat table plate 15. The
pedaling machine 1 has a base 10 standing on the ground. The base
10 includes a chassis 101 and an enclosure 102 on the chassis 101.
The enclosure 102 has a seat 11 thereon. Moreover, the enclosure
102 has a crank pedaling mechanism 12 inside for a user to pedal.
The user can thus exercise by pedaling thereon. In this embodiment,
the seat 11 is installed above the pedaling mechanism 12. When the
user sits on the seat 11, his or her feet step on the pedaling
mechanism 12 downward to exercise. This configuration forms a
vertical pedaling machine. However, the invention is not limited to
this particular case. This is only an example of the invention.
[0018] The front end of the base 10 is extended upward with a pole
13. In this embodiment, the pole 13 is erected at the front end of
the enclosure 102 of the base 10. The top end of the pole 13 has an
undertaking element 14. The table plate 15 is fixed on the
undertaking element 14 to form the working surface. It is in front
of the seat 11 for the user sitting on the seat 11 of the pedaling
machine 1 to use conveniently.
[0019] Besides, the pedaling machine 1 has a control unit 16 and a
detection unit (not shown) electrically connected with the control
unit 16. The control unit 16 has a junction 161 to connect with the
table plate 15. It can be connected with the table plate 15 or, as
shown in FIG. 4, detached to form a movable device that can be
placed on the table plate 15 and arbitrarily slide. The detection
unit detects the action data of the pedaling mechanism, and sends
the measured data electronically to the control unit 16. The
control unit 16 receives the signal to control the pedaling
mechanism 12. The control unit 16 controls the pedaling device in
either wired or wireless type. The transmitted signal can be analog
or digital.
[0020] Please refer to FIG. 5 to FIG. 9 for a second embodiment of
the invention. A primary difference between this embodiment and the
first embodiment is that the pedaling machine 1' has an adjusting
mechanism A to adjust the position of the table plate 15. The
adjusting mechanism A includes a sliding rail 131 on the top end of
the pole 13 and a displacing element at the bottom end of the
undertaking element 14. The displacing element is a sliding block
141 that can slide in the sliding rail 131. In this embodiment, the
sliding rail 131 extends toward the seat 11 of the pedaling machine
1'. The undertaking element 14 is installed via the sliding block
141 in the sliding rail 131 in a slideable way. As shown in FIGS. 8
and 9, the table plate 15 adjusts the position thereof as the
undertaking element 14 slides in the sliding rail 131. An urging
device 17 provided on the sliding rail 131 urges and positions the
sliding block 141 in the sliding rail 131. The urging device 17 is
a rotational axle that goes through a connecting hole 18 at the
bottom of the sliding rail 131 to urges against the bottom of the
sliding block 141. When rotating, the urging device 17 produces an
upward displacement to urge against the sliding block 141, thereby
fixing the sliding block 141 in the siding rail 131.
[0021] It should be mentioned that, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 7, the
enclosure 102 and the pedaling mechanism 12 therein in the
embodiment are in front of the chassis 101. The seat 11 is located
behind the chassis 101. There is a backrest 111 on the rear side of
the seat 1. Therefore, the user can sit on the seat 11 and lie on
the backrest 111, while using both feet to pedal the pedaling
mechanism 12 forward. This configuration is a recumbent pedaling
machine. Again, the style of the pedaling machine is not this
particular example.
[0022] Although the invention has been described with reference to
specific embodiments, this description is not meant to be construed
in a limiting sense. Various modifications of the disclosed
embodiments, as well as alternative embodiments, will be apparent
to people skilled in the art. Therefore, it is contemplated that
the appended claims will cover all modifications that fall within
the true scope of the invention.
