Under Shelf Mounted Drawer

Abstract

The invention relates to an under shelf mounted drawer and the mounting method. The drawer is assembled by an independently mesh container and a mounting unit which is installed on a shelf. The drawer is made of two meshes which are bended and welded together. It is wrapped by C rim on top edge, a pair of lugs welded on opposite top side of the drawer and a plastic part on it for better slide and stop. The mounting unit is attached to a shelf and has a pair of spaced apart drawer supports that support the drawer under a shelf When the drawer is mounted under the shelf, each lug on the drawer is hanged by the mounting unit which supports the drawer under the shelf. It is slidable between a closed position and an open position relative to the mounting unit.

Claims



1. A drawer assembly for mounting under a shelf, the drawer assembly consists of: A drawer is made by mesh, two meshes bended and welded together and top edge is wrapped by C rim then form a mesh container, and a pair of lugs are welded on opposite side for hanging, a pair of plastic parts are installed on them for better slide. A mounting unit is made by a pair of iron plate after bended and welded with two trackers, two plastic parts are installed on the track as a stopper for better slide, the iron plates is mounted to a shelf and the track as drawer supports, the drawer supported by the drawer supports. As described above, the hanging drawer is mounted under a shelf, and slide between a closed position and an open position.

2. A drawer assembly according to claim 1, drawer mounting under shelf and slide under the shelf.

3. A drawer assembly according to claim 1, the mounting unit with a separately installed iron plate and installed screw, use for shelf installation.

4. A drawer assembly according to claim 1,the mounting unit with a pair of iron forming device after bending and welding, like a "U" shape bridge.

5. A drawer assembly according to claim 1, the mounting unit consists of a pair of iron welding or riveting together with the track.

6. A drawer assembly according to claim 5, the track of mounting unit with breach for inserting the plastic parts of drawer.

7. A drawer assembly according to claim 1, the drawer with a pair of lugs protruding outward from the side of the drawer.

8. A drawer assembly according to claim 1, the mounting process for mounting under the shelf using the mounting unit.

9. A drawer assembly according to claim 8, the drawer and mounting unit can be used to combine with storage shelf only.

[0001] I have invented an Under Shelf Mounted Drawer, as set forth in the following specification. This disclosure is generally directed to store and organize products and the installation method, and more particularly to an under shelf mounted drawer and the mounting method.

BACKGROUND

[0003] Industry shelf is widely used and sold on the market. Numerous configurations have been developed for optimal usage of storage space for better product organizing on shelf.

[0004] Examples such as plastic basket and paper storage box which can be put on the shelf for product storage. The under shelf space could be wasted if the organizer is not big enough.

SUMMARY

[0005] Currently, drawer is often installed in a closed space, such as office desks, file cabinets, furniture and other products, very few drawers are installed on the shelf, and seldom any drawer is made by mesh.

[0006] Usually Container on the shelf is put on the shelf for directly access. The disadvantage of such configuration is that the container can't be slide forward, which is not convenient to take out items. It is hard to move items forward and the items stored are often risky of overturn.

[0007] Due to the reasons mentioned above, design a drawer that could be mounted on a shelf is necessary. The drawer can also be used independently as a storage container. While used in the open shelf, the drawer requires light and stable structure, and in addition, the drawer needs to be affordable, flexible in size, and with good ventilation. This invention is intended to solve these problems.

[0008] The objective of this invention is to design an under shelf mounted drawer and a mounting method. The main techniques are as follows: The drawer is assembled by an independently mesh container and a mounting unit which is installed on a shelf. The drawer is made by two meshes which are bended and welded together and then wrapped by C rim on top edge, a pair of lugs are welded on opposite top side of the drawer with a pair of plastic parts on it for better slide and stop.

[0009] The drawer and the mounting unit are joined together when the drawer and the mounting unit are installed under a designated storage shelf, and the drawer under the shelf is slidable between the two ends of the mounting unit.

[0010] The invention has several advantages over the existing products: This designed product is exclusively installed under a shelf for storage; it is easy for picking up the storing goods; the material of mounted unit is made of forming metal, which has the advantages of stable structure, and it is easy to make a various dimensions. The majority of drawer material is made of high quality metal mesh with good ventilation, light weight and low cost. It is suitable for mass production. This invention can use other metals or plastic materials.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DISCLOSURE

[0028] FIGS. 1 and 2 show one example of a drawer assembly in accordance with the teachings of the present invention. In this example, the drawer 1 assembly includes a conventional wire shelf 3, a mounted unit 2 suspended from or mounted to the shelf, and a drawer 1 supported by the mounting unit.

[0029] As utilized herein, the phrase "drawer assembly" means a combination of a shelf, a mounting unit, and a drawer, or a combination of only a mounting unit and a drawer.

[0030] The type of shelf for which the drawer 1 and mounting unit 2 can be configured within the idea and scope of the present invention. The shelf can be an industry shelf, a wire form structure, or the like. In this example, the shelf 3 is an industry shelf. The shelf 3 has a plurality of laterally extended support wires weld to a plurality of right to left extending surface wire, could suit for shelf with front to back extending surface wires too.

[0031] The drawer 1 is movable relative to both the mounting unit 2 and the shelf 3 between a closed position as shown in FIG. 1 and open position as shown in FIG. 2.

[0032] With reference of FIG. 1 and FIG. 8, the mounting unit 2 generally has a mounting structure 21 and two screw holes 211. The install iron plate 24 is put on two wire of the shelf, the screw 25 through the screw hole 241 of iron plate 24 is fixed with screw hole 211 of mounting unit 21. Use this procedure to install four iron plates 24 with mounting unit 2 on the shelf.

[0033] With reference of FIG. 8-13, the mounting unit is consisting of 4 pcs iron plates 24, 4 screws 25, a pair of iron bridges 21, a pair of tracks 22 and two plastic slide chutes 23. The pair of iron bridges 21 is parallel horizontally; the bridge bottom parts 213 are welded with the track 22 and symmetrical on both ends. Plastic slide parts 23 are installed in hole 221 of track 22, connected by self-tapping screw connect. Installed iron plate and screw 25 are separated parts which are not connected before installed on shelf.

[0034] With reference of FIG. 10, the bridge is "U" shape, in order to increase the suspension bridge bearing, the bridge is bended on 212.

[0035] With reference of FIG. 12, the installed iron plate 24 with a install hole 241, front and rear bending 242, right and left bending 243, the install hole 241 is used for mounting unit connected the bridge with track and 242 and 243 use clip with wire on the shelf.

[0036] With reference of FIG. 13, the plastic parts 23 with a open arc groove 231 and hole 232, the arc-shaped slot 231 for seizing drawer hanger 13, to avoid swinging from left to right, to make it slide more smoothly before and after pulling, hole 232 fits with hole 221 of track 22.

[0037] With reference of FIG. 14, the drawer includes mesh 11, C rim 12, hanger 13, slide fulcrum 14, hanger 13 and fulcrum slide 14, hanger 13, symmetrically welded on top left and right sides of the drawer.

[0039] With reference of FIGS. 9,11, and 14, the drawer bracket slide 14 coupled with the notch part 223 of track 22 when the drawer embedded on the mounting unit. The drawer can be taken out when move back to the initial place.

[0040] With reference of FIG. 16, The fulcrum slide piece 14, a hook 141, square hole 142, protruding 143, 141 and 142 is used for assembly with the lug 13, protruding 143 is used for supporting and sliding when slides in track 22.
