DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0018] Referring to FIGS. 1-6, a luggage in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises two foldable shells 10, a connecting member 30 mounted between the foldable shells 10 to connect the foldable shells 10, two linings 40 each mounted in a respective one of the foldable shells 10, and a pull handle 50 mounted on one of the foldable shells 10.

[0019] Each of the foldable shells 10 is made of a sheet plate that is cut and made foldable and bendable by a knife mold. Each of the foldable shells 10 is made of plastic, paper or fiber. Each of the foldable shells 10 includes a main wall 11 and four folding walls 12 connected with the main wall 11. Each of the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 is perpendicular to the main wall 11. Each of the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 is connected with the main wall 11 by a folding line 13 and is bendable freely relative to the main wall 11. Each of the foldable shells 10 has four corners connected with four fixing members 20 respectively. Each of the corners of each of the foldable shells 10 is provided with a fixing slot 14. The fixing slot 14 of each of the foldable shells 10 is located at one of four corners of the main wall 11 and is located between any two of the folding walls 12. The fixing slot 14 of each of the foldable shells 10 has two opposite sides each provided with a positioning flange 15. The positioning flange 15 of each of the foldable shells 10 is formed on each of two opposite ends of each of the folding walls 12.

[0020] Each of the fixing members 20 has a substantially arc-shaped profile. Each of the fixing members 20 is locked onto the respective fixing slot 14 of each of the foldable shells 10 and is combined with any two of the folding walls 12 to fix any two of the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 so that the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 are fixed by the fixing members 20. Each of the fixing members 20 has two opposite sides each provided with a positioning groove 21 locked onto the respective positioning flange 15 of each of the foldable shells 10. The pull handle 50, the linings 40, the fixing members 20 and the connecting member 30 construct a plastic accessory of the luggage.

[0021] The connecting member 30 extends through the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 and the fixing members 20 to connect the foldable shells 10 together. The luggage further comprises a plurality of wheel supports 22 each connected with a respective one of the fixing members 20. Preferably, the wheel supports 22 and the fixing members 20 are formed integrally.

[0022] In assembly, each of the foldable shells 10 is initially expanded to have planar shape as shown in FIG. 4. Then, each of the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 is folded along the folding line 13 so that each of the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 is perpendicular to the main wall 11 as shown in FIG. 3. At this time, the fixing slot 14 is defined in each of the four corners of each of the foldable shells 10. Then, each of the fixing members 20 is locked onto the respective fixing slot 14 of each of the foldable shells 10 and is combined with any two of the folding walls 12 to fix any two of the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 so that the folding walls 12 of each of the foldable shells 10 are connected by the fixing members 20, and each of the foldable shells 10 is fixed. At this time, the positioning groove 21 of each of the fixing members 20 is locked onto the respective positioning flange 15 of each of the foldable shells 10 as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. Then, the pull handle 50 is mounted on one of the foldable shells 10. Then, the linings 40 are mounted in the foldable shells 10. Finally, the foldable shells 10 are connected by the connecting member 30. Thus, assembly of the luggage is accomplished.

[0023] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the connecting member 30 is a zipper, a latch or a hinge. Preferably, each of the fixing members 20 is combined with each of the foldable shells 10 by rivets, screws, snaps or welding. Preferably, the connecting member 30 is combined with each of the foldable shells 10 by rivets, screws, snaps or welding.

[0024] Accordingly, the sheet plate is cut by a knife mold to form each of the foldable shells 10, each of the foldable shells 10 is supported and fixed by the fixing members 20, and the foldable shells 10 are connected by the connecting member 30, so that the luggage has a simplified process of production and assembly, has a better product quality, and has a lower cost of fabrication, transportation and packaging. In addition, the luggage is manufactured easily without needing a complicated equipment of production and a professional operator, thereby saving the time and cost of fabrication. Further, the luggage is assembled easily and quickly so that the user can assemble the luggage by himself/herself.

[0025] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
