WATER-CONTAINING STRUCTURE OF A FAUCET CONTROL VALVE
Abstract
The invention relates to a water-containing structure of a
faucet control valve, wherein a hollow chamber is set inside the
body of a faucet, the hollow chamber is separated into an upper
section with a water control chamber and a lower section as a space
for placing tubes by a spacing flange set in the middle section of
the hollow chamber, a control valve is placed inside the water
control chamber, a bottom board is set in the bottom side of the
control valve, at least an inlet column, an outlet hole and an
outlet channel are set above the bottom board, a pilot hole is set
on the inlet column for fastening the pass-through connector of the
inlet tube, and the end is inserted into the pilot hole of the
inlet column; to thereby effectively achieve the purpose of quickly
assembling, simplifying the process and reducing material
costs.

Claims
1. A water-containing structure of a faucet control valve, which
comprises: a body, a hollow chamber is set inside the body, a water
control chamber is set in the upper section of the hollow chamber,
an outlet through-hole is set on the front side of the inner wall
of the water control chamber and the outlet through-hole is
communicated with an outlet pipe, a gland and a bonnet are fastened
on the top of the water control chamber; a control valve, which is
placed inside the water control chamber, a lever set on the top of
the control valve is provided to install a handle; at least an
inlet tube, a connector is set on the top end of the inlet tube;
the feature is: a bottom board is set on the bottom side of the
control valve, at least an inlet column, an outlet hole and an
outlet through-hole are set above the bottom board, a pilot hole
set on the inlet column is provided for inserting the end of the
connector of the inlet tube into the pilot hole of the inlet column
of the control valve, a bonding nut is slipped on the lower end of
the inlet tube for installing the inlet tube and the water supply
tube.
2. The water-containing structure of the faucet control valve as
claimed in claim 1, wherein at least a waterproof ring is embedded
on the end of the inlet tube.
3. The water-containing structure of the faucet control valve as
claimed in claim 1, wherein an internal thread segment is set on
the pilot hole of the control valve for fastening an external
thread segment of the connector of the inlet tube.
4. The water-containing structure of the faucet control valve as
claimed in claim 1, wherein a spacing flange is set in the middle
section of the hollow chamber, at least a positioning slot set on
the spacing flange is provided to embed at least a positioning rib
set around the control valve for positioning.
5. The water-containing structure of the faucet control valve as
claimed in claim 1, wherein the connector of the inlet tube is
consisted of a thread gland and an inserting part.
6. The water-containing structure of the faucet control valve as
claimed in claim 1, wherein a spacing flange is set in the middle
section of the hollow chamber, a supporting edge with a smaller
inner diameter extended from the spacing flange is provided to
support the installation of a supporting board.
7. The water-containing structure of the faucet control valve as
claimed in claim 6, wherein two locking holes are set on the
supporting board.
8. The water-containing structure of the faucet control valve as
claimed in claim 6, wherein two fixing screw holes set on the
supporting board are provided to fasten two fixing bolts.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The invention relates to a water-containing structure of a
faucet control valve and, more particularly, to water-containing
structure of a faucet control valve for simplifying assembly, to
thereby effectively achieve the purpose of quickly assembling,
simplifying the process and reducing material costs.
[0003] 2. Brief Description of the Related Art
[0004] The structure of a general hot and cold mixer faucet (as
shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2) mainly comprises a body 10, a control
valve 14 and a control handle 16, wherein the body 10 is consisted
of an upper cylinder seat 11, a rotation seat 12 and a
water-impermeable seat 13; the water-impermeable seat 13 is placed
inside the body 10, the top side 130 of the water-impermeable seat
13 is used to link the control valve 14, the control valve 14 is
fixedly fastened to the upper cylinder seat 11 by using a gland 151
and a bonnet 152, two inlet columns 142, 143, an outlet hole 145
and at least a positioning column 144 are set on the bottom of the
control valve 14, the control valve 14 has a lever 141 linking the
handle 16 for controlling the flow of the water in and out; two
inlet holes 131, 132, an outlet hole 133 and at least a locating
hole 134 are set on the top side of the valve seat 13, wherein a
water outlet 139 and a lateral hole 135 are set on the middle
section, and two guide holes 137, 138 and two retaining bolt holes
136 are set on the bottom, the two guide holes 137, 138 are
provided for setting the connector 181 of two inlet tubes 18, the
two retaining bolt holes 136 are provided for fastening the two
corresponding fixing bolts 19 and fixing the faucet in the
installation location by using two fixing pieces C1 and two fixing
nuts N1. Basically, there is no major problem when using the
abovementioned structure, but the manufacture of the
water-impermeable seat 13 has plagued the industry. Since the size
of the water-impermeable seat 13 is large, it consumes copper a
lot, the cutting, tapping and drilling procedures are complicated
during processing, once one of the holes is in error, the whole
water-impermeable seat 13 becomes a waste product, especially in
the recent years, the price of raw materials increased
dramatically, defective products produced in manufacturing
processing have formed a heavy burden on the manufacturing cost.
Besides, in some faucets without setting a water-impermeable seat
inside the body, a water-impermeable board is remained inside the
body. When assembling, fastening the water-impermeable board to the
inlet tube first, and then attaching the control valve to the
surface of the water-impermeable board. In such structure, the
process is also complicated, and a very thick material is needed to
be remained as the water-impermeable board. If the processing hole
is inaccurate, the whole body may become a waste product and the
loss may become a heavy burden for the manufacturers. Thus, how to
simplify the producing procedure of the body 10 and lower the
defect rate may become an urgent problem to be solved for the
industry.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] In view of the drawbacks of the conventional structure,
after doing a lot of researching and improvements, the inventor
completed the invention, namely, the object of the invention is to
provide a water-containing structure of a faucet control valve
without setting a conventional water-impermeable board or a
water-impermeable seat for easy processing and assembly, to thereby
achieve the purpose of quickly assembling, simplifying the process
and reducing material costs.
[0006] To achieve the object, the water-containing structure of the
faucet control valve according to the present invention comprises:
[0007] a body, a hollow chamber is set inside the body, a water
control chamber is set in the upper section of the hollow chamber,
an outlet through-hole is set on the front side of the inner wall
of the water control chamber and the outlet through-hole is
communicated with an outlet pipe, a gland and a bonnet are fastened
on the top of the water control chamber; [0008] a control valve,
which is placed inside the water control chamber, a lever set on
the top of the control valve is provided to install a handle;
[0009] at least an inlet tube, a connector is set on the top end of
the inlet tube; [0010] the feature is: [0011] a bottom board is set
on the bottom side of the control valve, at least an inlet column,
an outlet hole and an outlet through-hole are set above the bottom
board, a pilot hole set on the inlet column is provided for
inserting the end of the connector of the inlet tube into the pilot
hole of the inlet column of the control valve, a bonding nut is
slipped on the lower end of the inlet tube for installing the inlet
tube and the water supply tube, to thereby effectively achieve the
purpose of quickly assembling, simplifying the process and reducing
material costs.
[0012] The above inlet tube, wherein at least a waterproof ring is
embedded on the end of the inlet tube.
[0013] The above body, wherein a spacing flange is set in the
middle section of the hollow chamber.
[0014] The above pilot hole, wherein an internal thread segment is
set on the pilot hole of the control valve for fastening an
external thread segment of the connector of the inlet tube.
[0015] The above control valve, wherein two waterproof rings are
respectively embedded on the edge of the upper and lower side of
the inlet column.
[0016] The above body, wherein a spacing flange is set in the
middle section of the hollow chamber, a supporting edge with a
smaller inner diameter extended from the spacing flange is provided
to support the installation of a supporting board, two locking
holes are set on the supporting board, the locking holes are
corresponding to the pilot hole of the control valve.
[0017] The above supporting board, wherein two fixing screw holes
are set on for fastening two fixing bolts.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0028] The above and further objects and novel features of the
invention will more fully appear from the following detailed
description when the same is read in connection with the
accompanying drawing. It is to be expressly understood, however,
that the drawing is for purpose of illustration only and is not
intended as a definition of the limits of the invention.
[0029] Please refer to FIG. 3, FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the
water-containing structure of the faucet control valve according to
the present invention comprises: [0030] a body 20, a hollow chamber
200 is set inside the body, a water control chamber is set in the
upper section of the hollow chamber, a spacing flange 204 is set in
the middle section of the hollow chamber 200, and the hollow
chamber 200 is separated into an upper section as a water control
chamber 200a and a lower section as a space 200b for placing tubes
by the spacing flange 204, an outlet through-hole 203 is set on the
front side of the inner wall of the water control chamber 200a and
the outlet through-hole 203 is communicated with an outlet pipe
201, an internal thread segment 202 set on the inner wall of the
top of the water control chamber 200a is provided to fasten a gland
22 with an external thread segment 221, the external thread segment
221 of the gland 22 is provided to fasten a bonnet 23 with an
internal thread segment 231; [0031] a control valve 21, which is
placed inside the water control chamber 200a, a bottom board 210 is
set on the bottom side, at least an inlet column 212, an outlet
hole 213 and an outlet channel 218 are set above the bottom board
210 (please refer to FIG. 5 simultaneously), a pilot hole 214 is
set on the inlet column 212, an internal thread segment 215 is set
on the pilot hole 214, a lever 211 is set on the top of the control
valve 21 for installing a handle 24; [0032] at least an inlet tube
3, the inlet tube 3 has a through hole 314 inside, a connector 31
is set on the top end of the inlet tube 3, an end 310 and an
external thread segment 311 are set from top to bottom of the
connector 31, at least a waterproof ring 312 is embedded on the end
310, the end 310 is inserted into the pilot hole 214 of the inlet
column 212 of the control valve 21, the external thread segment 311
is fastened on the internal thread segment 215 of the pilot hole
214, a bonding nut 313 is slipped on the lower end of the inlet
tube 3 for connecting the inlet tube 3 to the water supply tubes.
(The structure of this part is prior art, and therefore not
describe here.)
[0033] The above body 20, wherein a positioning slot 205 set on the
spacing flange 204 is provided to embed the corresponding
positioning rib 217 set around the control valve 21 for
positioning.
[0034] The above control valve 21, two waterproof rings B1, B2 are
embedded on the control valve 21 corresponding to the edge of the
upper and lower side of the outlet channel 218, to prevent water
oozing up or down.
[0035] By the faucet consisted of the above elements, when it is
installed on a kitchen counter or a washbasin, an internal thread
part 219 is set on the inner wall of the space 200b in the lower
section of the hollow chamber 200 of the body 20 for fastening a
connected seat 5 having an external thread segment 51, and the body
20 is fixedly fastened on a kitchen counter T by tightening a lock
nut 52, and the installation is complete.
[0036] Another embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG.
6 and FIG. 7. In the embodiment, the support of the bottom of the
control valve 21 is strengthened. Mainly, a supporting edge 206'
with smaller inner diameter is extended from the lower edge of the
spacing flange 204' of the body 20' for supporting the installation
of a supporting board 6. Two locking holes 61 with internal thread
are set on the supporting board 6, the locking holes 61 are
corresponding to the pilot holes 214 of the control valve 21 for
fastening the external 311 on the locking hole 61 after the
connector 31 of the inlet tube 3 is inserted into the pilot hole
214.
[0037] Two fixing screw holes 62 are set on the above supporting
board 6 for fastening the corresponding fixing bolt 4, to fixedly
install the body 20' on a kitchen counter or a washbasin. During
the assembly, first, the upper end of two fixing bolts 4 is
fastened into the fixing screw holes 52 of the supporting board 5,
the fixing bolt 4 is used to fixedly fasten the body 20 on the
kitchen counter or the washbasin with two fixing boards C2 and two
fixing nuts N2, and then the end 310 of the two inlet tubes 3 is
inserted into the pilot hole 214 of the inlet column 212 of the
control valve 21, and the external thread segment 311 of the
connector 31 is fastened on the locking hole 62 to complete the
installation.
[0038] Another embodiment of the connector 31' of the inlet tube 3'
of the present invention is shown in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, wherein the
inlet tube 3' is consisted of a thread gland 311' and an inserting
part 312', and the connector 31' is slipped on the inner tube 313'
of the inlet tube 3'. During the assembly, first, the connecting
segment 316' of the inserting part 312' is inserted into the inner
tube 313' after being passed through the middle hole 314' of the
thread gland 311', and then the upper segment 317' of the inserting
part 312' is inserted into the pilot hole 214 of the control valve
21. at this time, since there is an appropriate gap between the
middle hole 314' of the thread gland 311' and the inner tube 313',
the inlet tube 3' may not be twisted while the external thread
segment 315' of the thread gland 311' is fixedly rotated on the
pilot hole 214, and the fixing connector 31' may be fixed not to be
away from the pilot hole 214.
[0039] Above all, the water-containing structure of the faucet
control valve of the present invention may simplify the inner
structure of the faucet body and reduce the volume of used
material, effectively reduce material costs and simplify the
process, thus the present invention certainly has novelty and
practical and progressive benefits.
