Crown Lashes

Abstract

The present invention relates to a crown-shaped semi-permanent eye lash extension that adheres on top of the natural lashes. Crown-shaped lash extensions are also applied in crisscross overlapping method that further improves coverage particularly for bald or sparse areas. The design of a single crown-shaped lashes allows it to be applied on top of the natural lashes and not directly onto individual natural lashes. There is no need to isolate individual natural lashes thereby reducing application time significantly and enabling single handed application.

Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0001] This application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 61/498,535 filed Jun. 18, 2011, which is incorporated herein in its entirety.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The present invention relates to a crown-shaped semi-permanent eye lash extension that adheres on top of the natural lashes. According to the present invention, its crown shape makes application of lashes easy, decreases time of application, provide fuller coverage, and allow a wider range of effects. It is also softer and lighter in weight than the traditional eye extension thereby improving comfort and flexibility of application.

[0003] Conventional eye lash extensions are traditionally applied individually, one lash at a time and applied directly onto each natural lashes. Each natural eye lash needs to be isolated to apply the traditional eye lash extension. Therefore, its application usually requires two hand and is cumbersome and time consuming. According to the present invention, application of crown-shaped lash extension is easy and can even be applied with one hand. Crown-shaped eye lash extension is laid on top of the natural lashes and not attached directly onto each individual natural lashes. Therefore, there is no need to isolate individual natural lashes leading to a significant reduction in application time and even allow single-handed application.

[0004] Further, conventional lash extension can be applied in only one layer. Therefore, it is difficult to create fullness, especially in areas of bald spots, and is limited on its range of effects. According to the present invention, crown-shaped lash extension can be applied in multiple layers to create different ranges of effect and is not limited by bald spots. Bald spots can be easily filled due to the unique design of the crown-shaped lash and crisscross overlapping application method. While single layer can have a natural appearance, more layers can be added to increase fullness or to have a dramatic look for various user preference or occasion.

[0005] Lastly, while traditional lash extension are flexible, it tends to be heavy, especially when it is applied fully and hence tend to be uncomfortable and tend not to be as long lasting. According to the present invention, the crown-shaped lash extension are composed of flexible yet softer and lighter material, even lighter than natural lashes. Therefore, it is more comfortable to wear and does not pull down on the eyelids. Multiple layers can be applied for various looks without increasing the weight significantly. With proper adhesive, crown-shaped lashes can last up to two months.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] It is an object of the present invention to provide a professionally used semi permanently extend eyelashes that adheres directly onto the natural lashes and can last up to 2 months with proper adhesive.

[0007] Another aspect of the present invention is its crown-shaped which is new to the eyelash extension industry. The two bases of each crown-shaped design allows better coverage of bald or sparse area for fuller coverage. Crown-shaped lash extensions are also applied in crisscross overlapping method that further improves coverage particularly for bald or sparse areas.

[0008] Furthermore, application method of the crown-shaped lash extensions is different than the traditional lash extension method that requires individual isolation of each natural lashes followed by direct application of extension lashes onto the natural lashes. The design of a single crown-shaped lashes allows it to be applied on top of the natural lashes and not directly onto individual natural lashes. There is no need to isolate individual natural lashes thereby reducing application time significantly and enabling single handed application.

[0009] Crown Lashes are also softer and lighter in weight than traditional individual lash extensions which not only increases comfort but allows for application of multiple layers on top of the natural lashes to create a wide range of effects.BRIEF

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] FIG. 1 shows a single Crown Lash composed of two lashes separated at the base and joined at the tip.

[0011] FIG. 2 shows the Crown Lash laid on top of the natural lashes beginning at the inner corners of the eyes and working to outer edge of eye. Crown Lash is not applied directly onto the natural lashes. It is applied on top of the natural lashes.

[0012] FIG. 3 shows a single layer of Crown Lash applied in a crisscross pattern where the crown lash overlays the previous lash. Each Crown Lash is applied until outer corner of the eye is reached.

[0013] FIG. 4 shows a second layer of Crown Lash applied on top of the first layer.

[0014] FIG. 5 shows a third layer of Crown Lash applied on top of the second layer.

[0015] FIG. 6 shows a single layer application of Crown Lash for a natural look.

[0016] FIG. 7 shows a double layer application of Crown Lash for a standard look.

[0017] FIG. 8 shows three layer application of Crown Lash for a dramatic look.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0018] Hereinafter, an explanation on the crown-shaped lash extension according to the present invention will be in detail given with reference to the attached drawings.

[0019] As shown in FIG. 1, a single crown-shaped lash extension is composed of two lashes separated at the base and merged at the tip to create a "crown" shaped effect at the tips of lashes. This design allows easy application as the tip of the lash is grabbed and applied with adhesive on top of the natural lash. Since it is not applied directly onto the natural lash, individual natural lashes does not have to be isolated and separated, a time consuming process requires two hands. However, the present invention is applied on top of the natural lash eliminating the need to isolate individual lash and can be done single handedly, thus reducing time needed to apply each individual lash.

[0020] Furthermore, with the traditional lash extension, it is difficult to fill bald spots and create fullness. However, the design of the present invention comprising of two bases improves ability to fill bald spots easily for fuller and more natural look.

[0021] Additionally, while traditional lash extensions are flexible, it is heavy particularly after a full application. Crown Lashes are composed of synthetic fiber material that is not only flexible but lighter in weight and softer in texture than even the individual natural lashes. This increases comfort and its natural appearance of the lash extension. Also, multiple layers can be applied to create a wide range of effects without causing the overall weight of lash extension to feel heavy.

[0022] FIG. 2 shows the Crown Lash as it is applied on top of the natural lash rather than directly onto the natural lash. Because it is not applied directly onto individual lashes, Crown Lashes can be applied more easily, single handedly and require less application time. Additionally, Crown Lashes are applied in a crisscross pattern where the each Crown Lash overlays the previous lash to provide a fuller coverage. This crisscross overlapping pattern further enhances ability to fill bald or sparse areas for fuller and more natural appearance.

[0023] FIG. 3 shows the Crown Lashes applied in crisscross pattern until the outer corner of the eye is reached. Alternatively, Crown Lashes can be applied in a side by side pattern to achieve a different look. It can also be used with traditional individual eyelash extensions and/or mixed with different lengths of crown lashes to increase variations to meet individual user preference.

[0024] FIG. 4 shows a second layer of Crown Lashes applied on top of the first layer of lashes.

[0025] FIG. 5 shows a third layer of Crown Lashes applied on top of the second layer of lashes. Fourth row and more can be applied to create a desired effect to meet the need of individual user.

[0026] FIG. 6 shows a natural look of a single layer of Crown Lashes for more everyday use.

[0027] FIG. 7 shows a additional layer of Crown Lashes for more standard eye lash extension look to provide a full "false lash" look as opposed to traditional lash extension that can provide only a natural separated look.

[0028] FIG. 8 shows multiple layers of Crown Lashes applied for more dramatic look. Crown lashes can be adjusted based on the type of look the user is trying to achieve to based on individual user preference, need or occasion.
