Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a hairstyling device and, more particularly, to a hairstyling device including a flexible hollow main body having meshes or cellular through-holes. The hairstyling device can be wound to form a ring-shaped hair tie and is further capable of being used with hairpins to create various hairstyles.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] The existing hair accessories for hairstyling generally include hair bands, elastic hair ties, or other accessories with elastic band. The feature of the existing hair accessories is only for holding hair bundles and fails to make special hairstyles. Further, when the existing hair accessories are used with other hair accessories, the resultant hairstyles look untidy. Therefore, the existing single hair accessory cannot be flexibly applied to any hairstyles and has only the single feature that can be used; the foregoing is a major shortcoming and deficiency of the conventional hair accessories for hairstyling.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0005] Therefore, it is an objective of the present invention to overcome the aforementioned shortcoming and deficiency of the prior art by providing a hairstyling device with multiple hair setting features, wherein the hairstyling device is capable of winding to form a ring-shaped hair tie. Further the hairstyling device can also be used as a hair volumizer or be used with hairpins to make special hairstyles.

[0006] A hairstyling device of the present invention includes a flexible hollow main body. The main body includes a plurality of cellular through-holes or meshes in a peripheral wall of the main body. The main body further includes a central hole extending through a center of the main body in an axial direction and allowing to be expanded for insertion of a hair of a user. The main body further includes first and second ends spaced in the axial direction. The first end and/or the second end of the main body can be wound towards the central hole in the axial direction to form a ring-shaped hair tie.

[0007] Preferably, the main body is made of soft and elastic cloth or knitting thread material.

[0008] In a preferred form, the hairstyling device of the present invention further includes at least one hairpin. The hairpin can be inserted into one of the plurality of cellular through-holes or meshes of the main body to fasten the hair of the user in place.

[0009] The present invention will become clearer in light of the following detailed description of illustrative embodiments of this invention described in connection with the drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0024] A hairstyling device of a first embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 1 through 5 of the drawings and generally designated 1. The hairstyling device 1 includes a flexible hollow main body 10. In this embodiment, the main body 10 is made of soft and elastic cloth or knitting thread materials. The main body 10 is provided with a plurality of cellular through-holes or meshes 14 in a peripheral wall thereof and includes a central hole 11 extending through a center of the main body 10 in an axial direction. Further, the main body 10 includes first and second ends 12 and 13 spaced in the axial direction.

[0025] According to the preferred form shown, the first end 12 of the main body 10 is wound towards the central hole 11 in the axial direction to form a ring-shaped hair tie (FIGS. 2 and 3). The main body 10 is flexible and able to be pulled and stretched so that the central hole 11 can be expanded to allow insertion of a hair of a user. FIGS. 4 and 5 show the hairstyling device 1 of FIG. 2 used as a hair tie, wherein the main body 10 is stretched to expand the central hole 11, and then the hair 3 extends through the central hole 11 to form a ponytail hairstyle. In another embodiment of the present invention, as illustrated in FIG. 6, the first and second ends 12 and 13 of the main body 10 are wound correspondingly towards the central hole 11 in the axial direction to form a ring-shaped hair tie.

[0026] Referring to FIG. 7, place the main body 10 that has not yet been wound to form a ring-shaped hair tie at the hair 3 of the user, and cover the top layer of the hair 3 onto the main body 10. And then hold and secure the top layer and the lower layer of the hair 3 together with the other hairstyling device 1 that has been wound to form the ring-shaped hair tie. The unwound main body 10 is applied as a hair volumizer for the needs of different hairstyles.

[0027] The hairstyling device 1 of the present invention can further include at least one hairpin 2 to create various hairstyles (see FIG. 8). The hairpin 2 can be an iron hair clip, hair fork, or any other clip/fork body that can be inserted into and fastening the hair. Further refer to FIGS. 9 and 10, wherein the main body 10 is holding the hair 3 in place, and the hair 3 is winding around the main body 10. The hairpin 2 is then inserted into the cellular through-holes or meshes 14 of the main body 10 to secure and fasten the hair 3 to form a hair-bun hairstyle.

[0028] The flexible hollow main body 10 of the hairstyling device 1 can be made from knitting wools. Referring to FIG. 11, the hairstyling device 1 made from knitting wools has a nap surface disposed thereon after being wound as a ring-shaped hair tie, thereby increasing softness of the hairstyling device 1, allowing comfort of use, and providing special exterior design.

[0029] In practice, the main body 10 that has not yet been wound to form a ring-shaped hair tie can be pressed and flattened and then transversely wound to form a stick shape, as illustrated in FIG. 12. Further refer to FIG. 13, winding the two ends of the stick-shaped main body 10 to hold two sides of the hair 3 respectively; fastening the hair 3 with the hairpins 2, and winding the hair 3 to form a hair-bun hairstyle. Further, the stick-shaped main body 10 is also capable of being placed on the hair 3 of the user as a hair volumizer, as presented in FIG. 7.

[0030] The hairstyling device 1 of the present invention is capable of creating various hairstyles, and the soft and flexible material thereof allows a comfort of use. Moreover, the hairstyling device 1 is made of soft and elastic cloth or knitting thread material that is reusable and washable. Further, the through-holes 14 in the main body 10 allow insertion of different hairpins 2 to create various hairstyles.

[0031] Thus since the invention disclosed herein may be embodied in other specific forms without departing from the spirit or general characteristics thereof, some of which forms have been indicated, the embodiments described herein are to be considered in all respects illustrative and not restrictive. The scope of the invention is to be indicated by the appended claims, rather than by the foregoing description, and all changes which come within the meaning and range of equivalency of the claims are intended to be embraced therein.
