TABLET PERSONAL COMPUTER COVER STRUCTURE
Abstract
A tablet personal computer cover structure includes a foldable
member to connect a cover bolster and a cover foldable board. The
cover bolster includes a load board, a lower rotatable board and an
upper rotatable board which are connected to be one-piece. The load
board has a first pivot hole and the lower rotatable board has a
second pivot hole or a linear guide portion or a curved guide
portion. Male and female rotatable buckles are respectively
inserted through the first pivot hole and the second pivot hole (or
the linear guide portion or the curved guide portion) and engaged
with each other. The upper rotatable board has an inner surface
connected with a housing to accommodate a tablet personal computer.
The cover bolster further has at least one transverse engaging
piece disposed on an outer side thereof. The cover foldable board
is composed of two stacked boards. The cover foldable board has a
transverse fold line at a central portion thereof and at least one
fixing member at an outer edge thereof. When the cover foldable
board and the cover bolster are folded face-to-face through the
foldable member, the personal computer is received in the housing
and the at least one fixing member is inserted in the engaging
piece to form a closed cover. When in use, the fixing member is
disengaged from the engaging piece, and then the cover foldable
board is folded outward. The upper and lower rotatable boards can
be turned or shifted on the load board through the male and female
rotatable buckles, so that the tablet personal computer received in
the housing can be turned as desired. The cover foldable board is
folded up reversely through the fold line, and the fixing member is
inserted in the engaging piece, and the edge of the cover foldable
board is against the engaging piece to form a triangular support
for the user to extend his/her hand and hold the tablet personal
computer. The present invention provides the user to use the tablet
personal computer at any time and protects the tablet personal
computer.

Claims
1. A tablet personal computer cover structure, comprising a cover
bolster, a foldable member and a cover foldable board, the foldable
member being used to connect the cover bolster and the cover
foldable board; the cover bolster comprising a load board, a lower
rotatable board and an upper rotatable board which are connected to
be one-piece, the load board having a first pivot hole, the lower
rotatable board having a second pivot hole, male and female
rotatable buckles being respectively inserted through the first and
second pivot holes and engaged with each other, the upper rotatable
board having an inner surface connected with a housing to
accommodate a tablet personal computer, the housing having a limit
board at one side thereof and stop sides to enclose the tablet
personal computer, the cover bolster further having at least one
transverse engaging piece disposed on an outer side thereof; the
cover foldable board being composed of two stacked boards, the
cover foldable board having a transverse fold line at a central
portion thereof and at least one fixing member at an outer edge
thereof; thereby, the upper and lower rotatable boards bringing the
tablet personal computer received in the housing to be turned on
the load board as desired through the male and female rotatable
buckles; the cover foldable board being folded up reversely through
the fold line and the fixing member being inserted in the engaging
piece to form a triangular support for the user to extend his/her
hand and hold the tablet personal computer.
2. A tablet personal computer cover structure, comprising a cover
bolster, a foldable member and a cover foldable board, the foldable
member being used to connect the cover bolster and the cover
foldable board; the cover bolster comprising a load board, a lower
rotatable board and an upper rotatable board which are connected to
be one-piece, the load board having a first pivot hole, the lower
rotatable board having has a linear guide portion, male and female
rotatable buckles being respectively inserted through the first
pivot hole and the linear guide portion and engaged with each
other, the linear guide portion having a slot with at least one
engaging point at each of two ends thereof, the upper rotatable
board having an inner surface connected with a housing to
accommodate a tablet personal computer, the housing having a limit
board at one side thereof and stop sides to enclose the tablet
personal computer, the cover bolster further having at least one
transverse engaging piece disposed on an outer side thereof; the
cover foldable board being composed of two stacked boards, the
cover foldable board having a transverse fold line at a central
portion thereof and at least one fixing member at an outer edge
thereof; thereby, the upper and lower rotatable boards bringing the
tablet personal computer received in the housing to be turned and
shifted on the load board as desired through the male and female
rotatable buckles cooperating with the linear guide portion; the
male and female rotatable buckles being confined by the engaging
point of the linear guide portion to be positioned within the
slot.
3. A tablet personal computer cover structure, comprising a cover
bolster, a foldable member and a cover foldable board, the foldable
member being used to connect the cover bolster and the cover
foldable board; the cover bolster comprising a load board, a lower
rotatable board and an upper rotatable board which are connected to
be one-piece, the load board having a first pivot hole, the lower
rotatable board having has a curved guide portion, male and female
rotatable buckles being respectively inserted through the first
pivot hole and the curved guide portion and engaged with each
other, the curved guide portion having a slot, the upper rotatable
board having an inner surface connected with a housing to
accommodate a tablet personal computer, the housing having a limit
board at one side thereof and stop sides to enclose the tablet
personal computer, the cover bolster further having at least one
transverse engaging piece disposed on an outer side thereof; the
cover foldable board being composed of two stacked boards, the
cover foldable board having a transverse fold line at a central
portion thereof and at least one fixing member at an outer edge
thereof; thereby, the upper and lower rotatable boards bringing the
tablet personal computer received in the housing to be turned and
shifted on the load board as desired through the male and female
rotatable buckles cooperating with the curved guide portion, the
male and female rotatable buckles being confined within the
slot.
4. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in claim
1, wherein the male and female rotatable buckles are male and
female rivets.
5. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in claim
2, wherein the male and female rotatable buckles are male and
female rivets.
6. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in claim
3, wherein the male and female rotatable buckles are male and
female rivets.
7. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in claim
1, wherein the tablet personal computer is an iPad.
8. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in claim
2, wherein the tablet personal computer is an iPad.
9. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in claim
3, wherein the tablet personal computer is an iPad.
10. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 1, wherein the fixing member has an end portion with engaging
protrusions on upper and lower sides thereof to prevent the fixing
member from disengaging from the engaging piece.
11. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 2, wherein the fixing member has an end portion with engaging
protrusions on upper and lower sides thereof to prevent the fixing
member from disengaging from the engaging piece.
12. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 3, wherein the fixing member has an end portion with engaging
protrusions on upper and lower sides thereof to prevent the fixing
member from disengaging from the engaging piece.
13. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 1, wherein the limit board of the housing is folded inward to
be at the bottom of the tablet personal computer so as to enclose
the tablet personal computer completely.
14. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 2, wherein the limit board of the housing is folded inward to
be at the bottom of the tablet personal computer so as to enclose
the tablet personal computer completely.
15. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 3, wherein the limit board of the housing is folded inward to
be at the bottom of the tablet personal computer so as to enclose
the tablet personal computer completely.
16. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 2, wherein the upper and lower rotatable boards have upper
and lower holes corresponding in position to a cam provided at the
back of tablet personal computer.
17. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 3, wherein the upper and lower rotatable boards have upper
and lower holes corresponding in position to a cam provided at the
back of tablet personal computer.
18. The tablet personal computer cover structure as claimed in
claim 3, wherein the curved guide portion has at least one engaging
point at each of two ends of the slot.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a tablet personal computer
cover structure, and more particularly, to a cover structure having
male and female rotatable buckles so that the tablet personal
computer cover received in the cover structure can be rotated. The
present invention can carry the tablet personal computer with ease
and use the tablet personal computer conveniently.
[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art
[0004] A conventional rotatable cover structure comprises a
foldable member to connect a leather cover and a cover interlayer.
The leather cover has a plastic frame at in inner side to receive a
tablet personal computer which is inserted from one side of the
leather cover. A support frame is provided on an outer side of the
leather cover for standing on a table. When the tablet personal
computer is used, the support frame is folded reversely with its
bottom edge against the leather cover to form a simple support with
the leather cover. The user can direct touch, listen or view the
screen of the tablet personal computer. The tablet personal
computer can be taken along and protected by the leather cover.
However, the user is confined to use the tablet personal computer
on a table, he/she cannot use the tablet personal computer anywhere
by holding the tablet personal computer to use the cam of the
tablet personal computer. Besides, the plastic frame is easily
damaged and suffers wear and tear after a period of time, which may
be unable to protect the tablet personal computer.
[0005] Another conventional leather cover has a cam hole
corresponding in position to the cam of the tablet personal
computer and the foldable board also has a cam hole, so that the
user can take a picture with the tablet personal computer. However,
the diameter and depth of the cam hole of the foldable board may
influence the light when taking a picture, which results in that
the cam can't be used on the table.
[0006] Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has
devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to
solve the problem.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] According to a first aspect of the present invention, there
is provided a tablet personal computer cover structure comprising a
cover bolster, a foldable member and a cover foldable board. The
foldable member is used to connect the cover bolster and the cover
foldable board. The cover bolster comprises a load board, a lower
rotatable board and an upper rotatable board which are connected to
be one-piece. The load board has a first pivot hole and the lower
rotatable board has a second pivot hole. Male and female rotatable
buckles are respectively inserted through the first and second
pivot holes and engaged with each other. The upper rotatable board
has an inner surface connected with a housing to accommodate a
tablet personal computer. The housing has a limit board at one side
thereof and stop sides to enclose the tablet personal computer. The
cover bolster further has at least one transverse engaging piece
disposed on an outer side thereof. The cover foldable board is
composed of two stacked boards. The cover foldable board has a
transverse fold line at a central portion thereof and at least one
fixing member at an outer edge thereof. The fixing member has an
end portion with engaging protrusions on upper and lower sides
thereof. The cover foldable board and the cover bolster are folded
face-to-face through the foldable member. The tablet personal
computer is received in the housing and the at least one fixing
member is inserted in the engaging piece. The limit board of the
housing is folded inward to be at the bottom of the tablet personal
computer so as to enclose the tablet personal computer completely
for carrying and protection.
[0008] When in use, the fixing member is disengaged from the
engaging piece, and then the cover foldable board is folded
outward. The upper and lower rotatable boards can be turned on the
load board through the male and female rotatable buckles, so that
the tablet personal computer received in the housing can be turned
as desired. The cover foldable board is folded up reversely through
the fold line, and the fixing member is inserted in the engaging
piece, and the edge of the cover foldable board is against the
engaging piece to form a triangular support for the user to extend
his/her hand and hold the tablet personal computer. The present
invention provides the user to use the tablet personal computer at
any time and protects the tablet personal computer.
[0009] According to a second aspect of the present invention, the
lower rotatable board has a linear guide portion instead of the
second pivot hole. The linear guide portion has a slot with at
least one engaging point at each of two ends thereof to position
connection rods of the male and female rotatable buckles. The upper
and lower rotatable boards have upper and lower holes corresponding
in position to the cam provided at the back of tablet personal
computer for taking a picture The connection rods of the male and
female rotatable buckles are confined by the engaging point of the
linear guide portion to be positioned within the slot. The at least
one fixing member is inserted in the engaging piece to close the
present invention for carry-on. When in use, the upper and lower
rotatable boards can be turned on the load board through the male
and female rotatable buckles cooperating with linear guide portion,
so that the tablet personal computer received in the housing can be
turned and shifted as desired. The upper and lower holes and the
load board can be staggered to expose the cam for taking a picture.
When the cover foldable board is folded up reversely to form a
triangular support for the user to extend his/her hand and hold the
tablet personal computer. The cam can be adjusted free. The present
invention provides the user to use the tablet personal computer at
any time and protects the tablet personal computer.
[0010] According to a third aspect of the present invention, the
lower rotatable board has a curved guide portion instead of the
linear guide portion. The curved guide portion has a slot with at
least one engaging point at each of two ends thereof to position
connection rods of the male and female rotatable buckles. The upper
and lower rotatable boards have upper and lower holes corresponding
in position to the cam provided at the back of tablet personal
computer. The connection rods of the male and female rotatable
buckles are confined by the curved guide portion to be positioned
within the slot. The at least one fixing member is inserted in the
engaging piece to close the present invention for carry-on. When in
use, the upper and lower rotatable boards can be turned on the load
board through the male and female rotatable buckles cooperating
with curved guide portion, so that the tablet personal computer
received in the housing can be turned and shifted as desired.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0026] Embodiments of the present invention will now be described,
by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying
drawings.
[0027] As shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 3, FIG. 3-A, FIG. 7 and FIG. 8, the
present invention comprises a cover bolster 2, a foldable member 3,
and a cover foldable board 4. The foldable member 3 is used to
connect the cover bolster 2 and the cover foldable board 4.
[0028] The cover bolster 2 comprises a load board 21 having a first
pivot hole 211, a male rotatable buckle 22, a female rotatable
buckle 22', and a lower rotatable board 23 having a second pivot
hole 231 (or a linear guide portion or a curved guide portion). The
male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22' are respectively inserted
through the first pivot hole 221 and the second pivot hole 231 (or
the linear guide portion or the curved guide portion) and engaged
with each other, such that the lower rotatable board 23 can be
turned as desired. The load board 21 and the lower rotatable board
23 are respectively connected with the cover bolster 2 and an upper
rotatable board 24. The male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22'
may be male and female rivets. The upper rotatable board 24 has an
inner surface connected with a housing 25 to accommodate a tablet
personal computer. The housing 25 has a limit board 251 at one side
thereof and stop sides 252 to enclose the tablet personal computer.
The tablet personal computer can be an iPad. The cover bolster 2
further has at least one transverse engaging piece 12 disposed on
an outer side thereof.
[0029] The cover foldable board 4 is composed of two stacked
boards. The cover foldable board 4 has a transverse fold line 41 at
a central portion thereof and at least one fixing member 42 at an
outer edge thereof. The fixing member 42 is used to engage with the
engaging piece 26 of the cover bolster 2. The fixing member 42 has
an end portion 421 with engaging protrusions 4211 on upper and
lower sides thereof to prevent the fixing member 42 from
disengaging from the engaging piece 26. Accordingly, the present
invention can be rotated and held by one single hand, which is
convenient for use.
[0030] FIG. 2 through FIG. 6 and FIG. 3-A show a first embodiment
of the present invention. The cover foldable board 4 and the cover
bolster 2 are folded face-to-face through the foldable member 3.
The tablet personal computer is received in the housing 25 and the
at least one fixing member 42 is inserted in the engaging piece 26
to close the present invention for carry-on, as shown in FIG. 2.
When in use, the fixing member 42 is disengaged from the engaging
piece 26, and then the cover foldable board 4 is folded outward as
shown in FIG. 3. The upper and lower rotatable boards 24, 23 can be
turned 360 degrees through the male and female rotatable buckles
22, 22', so that the tablet personal computer received in the
housing 25 can be turned as desired, as shown in FIG. 4. The cover
foldable board 4 is folded up reversely through the fold line 41,
and the fixing member 42 is inserted in the engaging piece 26, so
that the edge of the cover foldable board 4 is against the engaging
piece 26 to form a triangular support as shown in FIG. 5 for the
user to extend his/her hand H and hold the tablet personal
computer, as shown in FIG. 6. The present invention provides the
user to use the tablet personal computer at any time and protects
the tablet personal computer.
[0031] FIG. 7, FIG. 7-A, FIG. 8-A, FIG. 8-B show a second
embodiment of the present invention, which is substantially similar
to the first embodiment with the exceptions described hereinafter.
The lower rotatable board 23 has a linear guide portion 232 instead
of the second pivot hole 231. The linear guide portion 232 has a
slot 2321 with at least one engaging point 2323 at each of two ends
thereof as shown in FIG. 7-A to position connection rods of the
male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22'. The upper and lower
rotatable boards 24, 23 have upper and lower holes 241, 234
corresponding in position to the cam provided at the back of tablet
personal computer for taking a picture, as shown in FIG. 7. The
cover foldable board 4 and the cover bolster 2 are folded
face-to-face through the foldable member 3. The tablet personal
computer is received in the housing 25. The connection rods of the
male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22' are confined by the
engaging point 2323 of the linear guide portion 232 to be
positioned within the slot 2321. The at least one fixing member 42
is inserted in the engaging piece 26 to close the present invention
for carry-on. When in use, the upper and lower rotatable boards 24,
23 can be turned 360 degrees and shifted on the load board 21
through the male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22' cooperating
with linear guide portion 232, so that the tablet personal computer
received in the housing 25 can be turned as desired. The upper and
lower holes 241, 234 and the load board 21 can be staggered to
expose the cam for taking a picture, as shown in FIG. 8-A. When the
cover foldable board 4 is folded up reversely to form a triangular
support for the user to extend his/her hand H and hold the tablet
personal computer as shown in FIG. 6, the cam can be adjusted free.
The present invention provides the user to use the tablet personal
computer at any time and protects the tablet personal computer.
[0032] FIG. 9, FIG. 9-A, FIG. 10-A, FIG. 10-B show a third
embodiment of the present invention, which is substantially similar
to the second embodiment with the exceptions described hereinafter.
The lower rotatable board 23 has a curved guide portion 233 instead
of the linear guide portion 232. The curved guide portion 233 has a
slot 2331 with at least one engaging point 2333 at each of two ends
thereof as shown in FIG. 9-A to position connection rods of the
male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22'. The upper and lower
rotatable boards 24, 23 have upper and lower holes 241, 234
corresponding in position to the cam provided at the back of tablet
personal computer for taking a picture, as shown in FIG. 9. The
cover foldable board 4 and the cover bolster 2 are folded
face-to-face through the foldable member 3. The tablet personal
computer is received in the housing 25. The connection rods of the
male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22' are confined by the
engaging point 2333 of the curved guide portion 233 to be
positioned within the slot 2331. The at least one fixing member 42
is inserted in the engaging piece 26 to close the present invention
for carry-on. When in use, the upper and lower rotatable boards 24,
23 can be turned 360 degrees and shifted on the load board 21
through the male and female rotatable buckles 22, 22' cooperating
with curved guide portion 233, so that the tablet personal computer
received in the housing 25 can be turned as desired, as shown in
FIG. 10-A and FIG. 10-B.
[0033] The limit board 251 of the housing 25 can be folded inward
to be at the bottom of the tablet personal computer so as to
enclose the tablet personal computer completely.
[0034] The end portion 421 of the fixing member 42 can be inserted
in the engaging piece 26 with ease, and the engaging protrusions
4211 are used to prevent the fixing member 42 from
disengagement.
[0035] The present invention can be assembled and disassembly
quickly to protect the tablet personal computer and to use the
tablet personal computer conveniently.

have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various
modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from
the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the
present invention is not to be limited except as by the appended
