Claims

1. A luggage, comprising: a main housing defining therein a first storage chamber, a sub-housing hinged to one front lateral side of said main housing and adapted for closing said first storage chamber and defining therein a second storage chamber, a first zip fastener adapted for controlling closing/opening of said sub-housing relative to said main housing, a cover panel hinged to a front bottom side of said sub-housing and adapted for closing said second storage chamber, and a second zip fastener adapted for controlling closing/opening of said cover panel relative to said sub-housing.

2. The luggage as claimed in claim 1, further comprising a plurality of side flaps respectively and bilaterally provided inside each of said cover panel and said sub-housing, and hook and loop materials located on said side flaps for allowing said side flaps to be fastened together to form a pocket for storing things.

3. The luggage as claimed in claim 1, wherein said sub-housing comprises a partition wall movably connected to the inside thereof with a plurality of belts so that an opening is defined within said sub-housing above said partition wall in between said first storage chamber and said second storage chamber.
Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to luggage structures and more particularly, to an improved structure of luggage having two separately openable storage chambers.

[0003] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0004] A regular luggage, as shown in FIG. 1, generally includes a housing 1 defining therein a storage chamber W, a cover panel 2 hinged to one front lateral side of the housing 1 and adapted for closing the storage chamber W, and a zip fastener 3 for controlling opening/closing of the cover panel 2. This design of luggage has drawbacks as follows: [0005] 1. Only one storage chamber W is defined in the housing 1 for keeping things, not allowable for classified storage arrangement. [0006] 2. When wishing to pick up one storage item from the storage chamber W, the cover panel 2 must be opened to let all storage items be exposed to the outside, it is embarrassing to expose your personal items (underwear or briefs) to the public. [0007] 3. When wishing to pick up one storage item from the storage chamber W, the user must put the housing 1 horizontally on a flat surface, i.e., the luggage cannot be kept in vertical in a narrow place when going to pick up one storage item from the storage chamber W.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is one object of the present invention to provide an improved structure of luggage, which has two separate chambers that are separately openable for storing classified storage items.

[0009] To achieve this and other objects of the present invention, a luggage includes a main housing defining therein a first storage chamber, a sub-housing hinged to one front lateral side of the main housing and adapted for closing the first storage chamber and defining therein a second storage chamber, a first zip fastener adapted for controlling closing/opening of the sub-housing relative to the main housing, a cover panel hinged to a front bottom side of the sub-housing and adapted for closing the second storage chamber, and a second zip fastener adapted for controlling closing/opening of the cover panel relative to the sub-housing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0010] FIG. 1 is an opened view of a conventional luggage.

[0011] FIG. 2 is an opened view of a luggage in accordance with the present invention.

[0012] FIG. 3 is a schematic drawing of the present invention, illustrating the first zip fastener fastened up and the cover panel opened.

[0013] FIG. 4 is a schematic drawing of the present invention, illustrating the luggage fully closed.

[0014] FIG. 5 is a sectional side view of the luggage in accordance with the present invention.

[0015] FIG. 6 illustrates an alternate form of the luggage in accordance with the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0016] Referring to FIGS. 2-5, a luggage in accordance with the present invention is shown comprising a main housing 10 defining therein a first storage chamber W1, a sub-housing 20 hinged to one front lateral side of the main housing 10 and adapted for closing the first storage chamber W1 and defining therein a second storage chamber W2, a first zip fastener 11 adapted for controlling closing/opening of the sub-housing 20 relative to the main housing 10, a cover panel 22 hinged to a front bottom side of the sub-housing 20 and adapted for closing the second storage chamber W2, a second zip fastener 12 adapted for controlling closing/opening of the cover panel 22 relative to the sub-housing 20, and a plurality of side flaps 23;24 respectively and bilaterally provided inside each of the cover panel 22 and the sub-housing 20, and hook and loop materials 25 located on the side flaps 23;24 for allowing the side flaps 23;24 to be fastened together to form a pocket for storing things. Further, the sub-housing 20 includes a partition wall 21 adapted to separate the first storage chamber W1 and the second storage chamber W2.

[0017] The luggage of the invention has the advantages and features as follows:

[0018] 1. As shown in FIG. 5, the first storage chamber W1 and the second storage chamber W2 are defined in the luggage for storing things separately. For example, the user can store big and private items in the first storage chamber W1 and other small and regular items in the second storage chamber W2.

[0019] 2. As shown in FIG. 3, the user can open the second storage chamber W2 to pick up related storage items without opening the first storage chamber W1, or open the first storage chamber W1 to pick up related storage items without opening the second storage chamber W2.

[0020] 3. As shown in FIG. 3, the user can keep the luggage in vertical when opening the cover panel 22 to access to the second storage chamber W2. At this time, the side flaps 23;24 are fastened together to keep the storage items in place.

[0021] 4. By means of the hook and loop materials 25, the user can fasten or unfasten the side flaps 23;24 conveniently.

[0022] 5. Further, as an alternate form of the present invention, the sub-housing 20 comprises a partition wall 30 that is movably connected to the inside of the sub-housing 20 with belts 31 so that an opening H is defined in between the first storage chamber W1 and the second storage chamber W2 for access.

[0023] Although particular embodiments of the invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
