Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] 1. Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to a refill pouch, and more particularly to a pouch being able to assemble with a pump head for dispensing directly and prevent the deformed pouch from obstructing a through hole.

[0003] 2. Description of Related Art

[0004] A conventional refill package for fluid materials comprises a container having a main body portion to be filled with fluid. The container is formed of rigid but deformable light-weight material. A handle-pouring spout for the container is formed integrally therewith of the material and is generally U-shaped. The handle-pouring spout has an intermediate elongated portion which is parallel to the container. End portions are formed with continuous through openings. The through openings are defined in the end portions for communicating with the interior of the container. Accordingly, a transverse weak section is formed on the intermediate portion in a single plane along the length of the intermediate portion adjacent one end portion. The transverse weak section enables the intermediate portion to be severed from the one end portion and to cooperate with the other of the end portions to function as a pouring spout for the contents of the container.

[0005] The conventional refill package for fluid materials is designed to refill bottles for cosmetic products such as shower gel, shampoo, etc. However, the refill package for fluid materials would be threw away after the fluid in the refill package is poured into the bottles. This would increase the amount of waste materials and causes an environmental pollution.

[0006] The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional refill package for fluid materials.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The main objective of the present invention is to provide an improved refill pouch.

[0008] To achieve the objective, the refill pouch includes a head member and a pouch member connected with the head member. The head member has a threaded portion and a disc portion formed thereon. The threaded portion has one end connected with a top side of the disc portion. The threaded portion adapts to be threadedly connected with a pump head. The disc portion of the head member extends downwardly and outwardly from a center thereof. The head member has a through hole defined therein and extending through the threaded portion and the disc portion.

[0009] A top of the pouch member is securely connected with a bottom side of the disc portion of the head member opposite to the threaded portion by a connection means chosen from high-frequency sealing or hot-press laminating. The pouch member has an opening defined in the top thereof and located corresponding to the through hole for communicating with the through hole. The opening of the pouch member has a diameter relatively smaller than that of the disc portion of the head member. The pouch member has a flat bottom. The pouch member has a neck portion annularly formed on a periphery thereof. The neck portion centrally locates between the top and the bottom of the pouch member. The pouch member has a wall thickness gradually decreasing from the top to the bottom thereof. The pouch member has a maximum wall thickness being in a range from 1.1 to 3 times a minimum wall thickness. The pouch member gradually decreases from the top to the neck portion and gradually increases from the neck portion to the bottom in size.

[0010] Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a refill pouch in accordance with the present invention;

[0012] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the refill pouch in accordance with the present invention as assembling with a pump head;

[0013] FIG. 3 is a partial cross-sectional plan view of the refill pouch in accordance with the present invention; and

[0014] FIG. 4 is a partial cross-sectional plan view of the refill pouch in accordance with the present invention during operation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0015] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a refill pouch 1 in accordance with the present invention comprises a head member 2 and a pouch member 3 connected with the head member 2. The pouch member 3 adapts to contain and store a liquid substance (not shown). The head member 2 has a threaded portion 21 and a disc portion 22 formed thereon. The threaded portion 21 has one end connected with a center of a top side of the disc portion 22 and axially extends from the disc portion 22. The threaded portion 21 adapts to be threadedly connected with a pump head 10. The disc portion 22 of the head member 2 annularly extends downwardly and outwardly from the center of the disc portion 22. The head member 2 has a through hole 23 axially defined therein and extending through the threaded portion 21 and the disc portion 22. The through hole 23 communicates with the pump head 10.

[0016] A top of the pouch member 3 is securely connected with a bottom side of the disc portion 22 of the head member 2 opposite to the threaded portion 21 by a connection means chosen from high-frequency sealing or hot-press laminating. The pouch member 3 has an opening 31 defined in the top thereof and located corresponding to the through hole 23 for communicating with the through hole 23. Accordingly the liquid substance in the pouch member 3 is able to flow into the through hole 23 via the opening 31. The opening 31 of the pouch member 3 has a diameter relatively smaller than that of the disc portion 22 of the head member 2, such that the disc portion 22 sealingly covers the top of the pouch member 3 to prevent leakage of the liquid substance through the opening 31. The pouch member 3 has a flat bottom 32.

[0017] The pouch member 3 has a neck portion 33 annularly formed on a periphery thereof. The neck portion 33 centrally locates between the top and the bottom of the pouch member 3. The pouch member 3 has a wall thickness gradually decreasing from the top to the bottom 32 thereof. And a maximum wall thickness of the pouch member 3 is in a range from 1.1 to 3 times a minimum wall thickness. The pouch member 3 gradually decreases from the top to the neck portion 33 and gradually increases from the neck portion 33 to the bottom 32 in size.

[0018] In a preferred embodiment, the maximum wall thickness of the pouch member 3 is 1.5 times the minimum wall thickness. When the pump head 10 generates a vacuum sucking force to suck the liquid substance from the pouch member 3 into the though hole 23 of the head member 2, the liquid substance is sequentially guided out from the pump head 10. As shown in FIG. 4, the pouch member 3 would not have an intense deformation. And the through hole 23 would not be obstructed by the deformed pouch member 3.

[0019] Because the pump head 10 is detachably connected with the threaded portion 21 of the head member 2, the refill pouch 1 is able to be used directly. It is different from the prior art which is used to refills a container and treated as waste. The refill pouch 1 in accordance with the present invention is designed to have an energy-saving effect and sufficient environmental protection. Moreover, the through hole 23 of the head member 2 is able to be sealed by a cover or a seal film (not shown) so as to prevent leakage of the liquid substance from the through hole 23 during periods of storage and shipment.

[0020] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
