CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

[0001] This application is a Continuation-in-part Application of Ser. No. 11/556,036, filed 14 Jan. 2011, and entitled "ADJUSTABLE SCRAPER", now pending.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] 1. Field of the Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a scraper, and more particularly to an adjustable and replaceable scraper.

[0004] 2. Description of Related Art

[0005] A conventional scraper has a scarping blade extending form a front thereof. However, the conventional scraper is discarded when the scraping blade is consumed. It is inconvenient and wasted.

[0006] Another conventional scraper has a replaceable blade. When the blade is consumed, the blade can be replaced to a new one. However, the connection between the blade and the conventional scraper is weak. Therefore, the conventional scraper is easily broken.

[0007] The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the disadvantages of the conventional scraper.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0008] The main objective of the present invention is to provide an improved scraper, and more particular to an adjustable and replaceable scraper.

[0009] To achieve the objective, the adjustable and replaceable scraper in accordance with the present invention includes a handle, an extender movably mounted in the handle, a replaceable blade mounted on the extender. The handle has an elongated slot defined therein and extending along an axis thereof. The handle has a through hole defined in a top side thereof and extending through a bottom side thereof. The through hole is communicated with the elongated slot. The extender is movably inserted into the elongated slot in the handle. The extender has a body and a head extending from the body. The body has multiple positioning holes defined therein and passing therethrough. The body has a groove defined therein and passing therethrough. The groove is disposed along a length of the body and communicated with the positioning holes. Each positioning hole has a diameter greater than a width of the groove. The head of the extender has a width grater than that of the body. The head has two blockers respectively extending from two laterals thereof. The head has a screw hole defined therein and passing therethrough. A holder is mounted on the head of the extender. The holder has a body and a head extending from the body. The head of the holder corresponds to the head of the extender such that a width of the head of the holder is equal to that of the head of the extender. The head of the holder is confined by the two blockers of the extender for preventing the head of the holder sliding relative to the extender. The replaceable blade is sandwiched between the head of the extender and the head of the holder. The replaceable blade is also confined by two blockers for preventing the replaceable blade sliding relative to the extender. A screw passes through the head of the holder, the replaceable blade, and screws into the screw hole in the head of the extender. A button is mounted on the top side of the handle and partially passes through the through hole. The button has a rod extending therefrom. The rod has a diameter substantially equal to the width of the groove. A spring is compressively received in through hole and passed by the rod. A stopper is mounted on the bottom side of the handle. The stopper has a tube extending therefrom for partially receiving the rod of the button. The stopper has a shoulder annularly disposed on the tube for selectively engaging with the positioning holes. The shoulder has a diameter substantially equal to that of each positioning hole.

[0010] Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of an adjustable and replaceable scraper in accordance with the present invention;

[0012] FIG. 2 is an assembled perspective view of the adjustable and replaceable scraper in accordance with the present invention;

[0013] FIGS. 3-4 are operational views of the adjustable and replaceable scraper in accordance with the present invention;

[0014] FIG. 5 is a top plan view of the of the adjustable and replaceable scraper in accordance with the present invention without a replaceable blade; and

[0015] FIGS. 6-7 are enlarged operational views of the adjustable and replaceable scraper in accordance with the present invention for showing a shoulder engaging/disengaging with a positioning hole.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0016] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-7, an adjustable and replaceable scraper in accordance with the present invention comprises a handle 10, an extender 24 movably mounted in the handle 10, a replaceable blade 30 mounted on the extender 24.

[0017] The handle 10 has an elongated slot 120 defined therein and extending along an axis thereof. The handle 10 has a through hole 122 defined in a top side thereof and extending through a bottom side thereof. The through hole 122 is communicated with the elongated slot 120.

[0018] The extender 24 is movably inserted into the elongated slot 120 in the handle 10. The extender 24 has a body 242 and a head 241 extending from the body 242. The body 242 has multiple positioning holes 244 defined therein and passing therethrough. The body 242 has a groove 243 defined therein and passing therethrough. The groove 243 is disposed along a length of the body 242 and communicated with the positioning holes 244. Each positioning hole 244 has a diameter greater than a width of the groove 243. The head 241 of the extender 24 has a width grater than that of the body 242. The head 241 has two blockers 25 respectively extending from two laterals thereof. The head 241 has a screw hole 27 defined therein and passing therethrough.

[0019] A holder 22 is mounted on the head 241 of the extender 24. The holder 22 has a body 222 and a head 221 extending from the body 222. The head 221 of the holder 22 corresponds to the head 241 of the extender 24 such that a width of the head 221 of the holder 22 is equal to that of the head 241 of the extender 24. The head 221 of the holder 22 is confined by the two blockers 25 of the extender 24 for preventing the head 221 of the holder 22 sliding relative to the extender 24. The replaceable blade 30 is sandwiched between the head 241 of the extender 24 and the head 221 of the holder 22. The replaceable blade 30 is also confined by two blockers 25 for preventing the replaceable blade 30 sliding relative to the extender 24. A screw 28 passes through the head 221 of the holder 22, the replaceable blade 30, and screws into the screw hole 27 in the head 241 of the extender 24.

[0020] A button 124 is mounted on the top side of the handle 10 and partially passes through the through hole 122. The button 124 has a rod 125 extending therefrom. The rod 125 has a diameter substantially equal to the width of the groove 243. A spring 126 is compressively received in through hole 122 and passed by the rod 125.

[0021] A stopper 128 is mounted on the bottom side of the handle 10. The stopper 128 has a tube 129 extending therefrom for partially receiving the rod 125 of the button 124. The stopper 128 has a shoulder 127 annularly disposed on the tube 129 for selectively engaging with the positioning holes 244. The shoulder 127 has a diameter substantially equal to that of each positioning hole 244.

[0022] Referring to FIGS. 3-7, the replaceable blade 30 is fixed between the holder 22 and the extender 24. When the replaceable blade 30 is consumed, the original replaceable blade 30 can be easily replaced to a new one. When the shoulder 127 of the stopper 128 is engaged with one of the positioning holes 244, the extender 24 is fixed in the handle 10. When the button 124 is pressed and the spring 126 is compressed, the shoulder 127 is disengaged from the positioning hole 244 and the rod 125 of the button 124 is disposed in the groove 243, such that the rod 125 is able to slide in the groove 243 and the extender 24 is able to adjust a distance relative the handle 10. When the rod 125 is move in another positioning hole 244 and the button 124 is released, the spring 126 pushes the button 124 back and the shoulder 127 is engaged with another positioning hole 244 for fixing the extender 24 relative to the handle 10.

[0023] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
