Description

CROSS REFERENCE TO THE RELATED PATENT APPLICATION

[0001] The present application claims the priority of the Chinese patent application No. 200920231076.X filed on Sep. 2, 2009, which application is incorporated herein by reference.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] 1. Field of Utility Model

[0003] The utility model relates to a hat, and more particularly to a hat with adjustable size.

[0004] 2. Related Art

[0005] An existing hat with adjustable size is realized by a stretchable fabric, that is, the hat body is made of an elastic fabric. Therefore, the hat is very much limited to its material and shape design, so that it is difficult to meet people's demands for hats of various materials, shapes, and sizes.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Accordingly, the utility model is directed to a hat with adjustable size, which not only has a size capable of being adjusted freely, but also has no particular requirement on its main material, and can be designed into various shapes.

[0007] The utility model is accomplished by the following technical solution.

[0008] A hat with adjustable size includes at least one expansion strip. Several hat pieces and the expansion strip are sewed to form a crown. The expansion strip is sewed at a seam of the hat pieces.

[0009] The expansion strip is made of a stretchable fabric.

[0010] A sweatband is sewed along a lower inner periphery of the crown, and the sweatband is made of a stretchable fabric.

[0011] A sweatband is sewed along a lower inner periphery of the crown, and the sweatband is cut off at the seam of the hat pieces sewed with the expansion strip.

[0012] The utility model achieves the following beneficial effects.

[0013] In the hat with adjustable size provided by the utility model, an elastic expansion strip is sewed at the seam of the hat pieces, thereby freely adjusting the size of the hat. Therefore, the hat not only has a size capable of being adjusted freely, but also has no particular requirement on its main material, for example, the hat pieces may be made of an elastic fabric or a non-elastic fabric. Moreover, as the expansion strip used as a portion of the hat, the hat can be made into various shapes based on an adjustable size, that is, the expansion strip is applicable to hats of various shapes.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The utility model will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below for illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the utility model, and wherein:

[0015] FIGS. 1 and 2 are schematic structural views of the utility model.

[0016] In FIGS. 1 and 2, 1: hat piece; 2: brim; 3: sweatband; 4: expansion strip; 5: crown.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0017] The utility model is further illustrated below through embodiments with the accompanying drawings.

[0018] Referring to FIG. 1, a hat with adjustable size provided by the utility model includes at least one expansion strip 4. Several hat pieces 1 and the expansion strip 4 are sewed to form a crown 5. The expansion strip 4 is sewed at a seam of the hat pieces 1. The expansion strip 4 is made of a stretchable fabric. Generally, the expansion strip 4 is sewed at a longitudinal seam of the hat pieces, so as to enable the hat to suit different head shapes and sizes. As two sides of the expansion strip 4 are respectively sewed to sides of the adjacent hat pieces 1, and the expansion strip 4 is made of a stretchable fabric, the size of the crown 5 can be adjusted freely. The crown 5 may also be sewed to a brim 2, so as to form a hat with a brim.

[0019] A sweatband 3 is sewed along a lower inner periphery of the crown 5, and the sweatband 3 is made of a stretchable fabric. In order not to affect the stretching of the expansion strip 4, the sweatband 3 may not be sewed to the expansion strip 4 at the seam of the hat pieces where the expansion strip 4 is disposed. If the sweatband 3 needs to be sewed to the expansion strip 4 at the seam of the hat pieces where the expansion strip 4 is disposed, the sweatband 3 and the expansion strip 4 should be made of materials with the same or similar modulus of elasticity, and sewed in such a way that the stretching of the expansion strip 4 is not affected, for example, only sewed at a few points in the stretching direction.

[0020] Referring to FIG. 2, a sweatband 3 is sewed along a lower inner periphery of the crown 5, and the sweatband 3 is cut off at the seam of the hat pieces sewed with the expansion strip 4, so as not to affect the stretching of the expansion strip 4. In this case, the sweatband 3 may be made of a non-elastic fabric.

[0021] Any part that is not mentioned in the utility model is identical to the prior art or can be realized in the prior art.
