BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] 1. Field of the Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a bag for a laptop computer with a shape improved so as to adjust its size.

[0004] 2. Description of the Related Art

[0005] With development of a communication technology, a laptop computer or a mini PC that may be used at the outside has rapidly come into wide use. In recent, the laptop computer tends to have increasing share of the newly sold computers. The laptop computer is very portable due to its light weight and small volume and can be used where there is no power supply since it has its own battery. Also, various bags for the laptop computer have been provided to carry this laptop computer safely. Most of the bags for the laptop computer is made of a shock absorbable material, and provided with a band or a Velcro tape for fixing the laptop computer therein without shaking.

[0006] However, there are problems that these hags for the laptop computer has relatively large volume and it is necessary to buy different bags according to the size of the laptop computer when a user wants a bag which fits to the size of the laptop computer.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] Accordingly, it is an aspect of the present invention to provide a bag for a laptop computer, which is able to adjust a size thereof depending on the size of the laptop computer.

[0008] The foregoing and/or other aspects of the present invention can be achieved by providing a size adjustable bag for a laptop computer, comprising: a support for supporting a laptop computer, side covers for covering side portions of the laptop computer, an upper cover for covering an upper portion of the laptop computer, a lower cover for covering a lower portion of the laptop computer, a shock absorbing material inserted between an outer fabric and an inner fabric of the respective covers, at least one Velcro fastener attached onto an inside of the upper cover, inside and outside of the side covers and an outside of the lower cover, from a right end to a left end of the respective covers, and at least one seam line with size adjusting function formed at lower peripheries of the respective covers.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0009] The above and/or other aspects and advantages of the prevent invention will become apparent and more readily appreciated from the following description of the exemplary embodiments, taken in conjunction with the accompany drawings, in which:

[0010] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a bag according to an embodiment of the present invention;

[0011] FIG. 2 is a developed plan view illustrating the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention;

[0012] FIG. 3 is a developed bottom view illustrating the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention;

[0013] FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along a line A-A' in FIG. 2;

[0014] FIG. 5a is a developed view illustrating a state that a laptop computer is just before covered by the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention;

[0015] FIG. 5b is a view illustrating a state that the laptop computer is covered by a lower cover of the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention;

[0016] FIG. 5c is a view illustrating a state that the laptop computer is further covered by a left cover of the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention; and

[0017] FIG. 5d is a view illustrating a state that the laptop computer is further covered by a right cover of the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ILLUSTRATIVE, NON-LIMITING EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

[0018] Reference will now be made in detail to the embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below so as to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.

[0019] FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a bag according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 2 is a developed plan view illustrating the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 3 is a developed bottom view illustrating the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along a line A-A' in FIG. 2. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the bag for a laptop computer according to an embodiment of the present invention mainly includes a support 17 for supporting a laptop computer thereon, side covers 3, 4 placed at both sides of the lower support 17, an upper cover 1 and lower cover 2. An outer fabric 25 of the support 17, the side covers 3, 4, the upper cover 1 and the lower cover 2 is made of a crack leather which is smooth but strong, and the inner fabric 24 is made of a nylex material capable of preventing static electricity. The outer fabric 25 may be made of any fabric or synthetic resin that is smooth but strong material, other than the crack leather and the inner fabric 24 may also be made of any fabric or synthetic resin other than the nylex material. A shock absorbing material 26 is inserted between the outer fabric 25 and the inner fabric 24, and the shock absorbing material 26 is made of a Toilon foam with a regular thickness. The Toilon foam is made of polyethylene and may be semi-permanently used since it has excellent chemical resistance, heat resistance, cold resistance and durability. The shock absorbing material 26 may be made of any material that is shock-absorbable other than the Toilon material. Two Velcro fasteners 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 are attached to the inside and outside of the side covers 3, 4, the inside of the upper cover 1 and the outside of the lower cover 2, respectively, so that the covers can be attached to other cover. Also, three seam lines 5a, 5b, 5c, 6a, 6b, 6c, 7a, 7b, 7c, 8a, 8b, 8c with regular spacing are formed at the lower peripheries of the side covers 3, 4, the upper cover 1 and the lower cover 2, respectively so that the covers can be suitably folded depending on the size of the laptop computer. The three seam lines formed at the lower periphery of the respective covers allows the folding position of the bag for a laptop computer to be varied as the size of the laptop computer, thereby functioning to adjust the size of the bag for a laptop computer. At least one the Velcro fastener other than two may be attached to the respective covers and the Velcro fastener is attached from the right end to the left end of the respective covers so as to be stably attached regardless of the size of the laptop computer. Also, at least one the seam line other than three may be formed.

[0020] FIG. 5a is a developed view illustrating a state that a laptop computer is just before covered by the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 5b is a view illustrating a state that the laptop computer is covered by a lower cover of the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention; FIG. 5c is a view illustrating a state that the laptop computer is further covered by a left cover of the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention; and FIG. 5d is a view illustrating a state that the laptop computer is further covered by a right cover of the bag according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIGS. 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d, in assembly of the bag for a laptop computer, the laptop computer 27 is first laid on the support 17, the lower cover 2 then covers the upper surface of the laptop computer 27 and the side covers 3, 4 then cover the lower cover 2. At this time, the seam lines of the side covers 3, 4 and the lower cover 2 are suitably folded depending on the size of the laptop computer 27. Finally, the upper cover 1 covers the side covers 3, 4, thereby completing assembling of the bag for a laptop computer.

[0021] As described above, a size adjustable bag for a laptop computer according to the present invention includes a support for supporting a laptop computer, side covers for covering side portions of the laptop computer, an upper cover for covering an upper portion of the laptop computer, a lower cover for covering a lower portion of the laptop computer, a shock absorbing material inserted between an outer fabric and an inner fabric of the respective covers, at least one Velcro fastener attached onto an inside of the upper cover, inside and outside of the side covers and an outside of the lower cover, from a right end to a left end of the respective covers, and at least one seam line with size adjusting function formed at lower peripheries of the respective covers. Therefore, it is possible to adjust the size of the bag depending on the size of the laptop computer.

[0022] Although a few exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
