Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The invention generally relates to the field of clothing,
namely sneakers, sweats, T-shirts, caps, hats, sports jackets. More
particularly, the present invention relates to clothing with

cap as a means of self expression. The way in which a cap is
positioned on a wearers head in addition to the particular insignia
and style of hat chosen by the wearer is an effective way to engage
in the expression of style.
[0005] A ball cap is also functional and effective in blocking the
sun from a wearer's eyes. However, there are many situations where
a user desires a cap to be adjustable in configuration both for
style and for function. There have been many improvements on the
basic hat design.
[0006] U.S. Pat. No. 4,777,667 discloses a flip cap that
intermittently displays an informative or advertising message
through the use of a hinged bill cap.
[0007] U.S. Pat. No. 5,533,211 discloses a hat with an interior
track member that allows the brim to be horizontally rotated around
the crown of the hat to various positions.
[0008] U.S. Pat. No. 5,715,534 also discloses an interior channel
for slidable positioning of one or more hat brims around the
crown.
[0009] U.S. Pat. No. 5,870,772 also discloses a hat brim that can
be rotated about the crown.
[0010] U.S. Pat. No. 7,152,250 discloses an adjustable hat
comprising a material crown; a first axis situated on a first side
of said crown; a second axis situated on a second side of said
crown; a brim containing a frame having a first end and a second
end; said first end engaging the first axis and the second end
engaging the second axis, the brim being rotatably positioned about
the material crown.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0038] FIG. 1 illustrates a skullcap 100 or knit cap which is
substantially dome shaped and includes a peripheral band 105 which
extends along the peripheral edge 113 of the skullcap 100. Sports
fans which wear the skullcap 100 to sporting events desire to have
the color on the exterior surface of the skullcap 100 match the
colors of the team which they are cheering for. However, the team
more than likely will have at least two colors or more, one color
may be for home games or for first-team and the other color for
away games or a second or different team. Previously, it has been
necessary to have two separate skullcaps in order to meet the need
of having a skullcap the color for home games and a second skullcap
for away games. FIG. 1 illustrates a skullcap 100 which provides a
solution to the above problem. The interior surface 109 of the
skullcap 100 is a first color which may be for home games or for
first-team, and the exterior surface 103 of the skullcap 100 may be
a second color which may be for away games or different team. In
addition to the first color corresponding to the home games and the
second color corresponding to the away games or different team, the
first color can correspond to the first team and the second color
can correspond to a second team. In this way, it is possible to use
the same clothing for two favorite but different teams. The
skullcap 100 is flexible and reversible so that the interior
surface 109 which is the first color can be turned into the
exterior surface 103 by reversing the skullcap 100. Thus, the
exterior surface now is the first color and the interior surface
109 is now the second color for a different team. The peripheral
band 105 may be the first color, or the peripheral band 105 may be
the second color. Alternatively, the peripheral band 105 may be a
third color. The peripheral band 105 may include indicia 107. The
indicia 107 may be a logo which corresponds to the team. For
example, the first color may be blue and the second color may be
white, and the logo may be `Cowboys` of the Dallas Cowboys.
Furthermore, the indicia 107 may be a catchphrase which relate to
the color and consequently the team such as `How Bout Them
Cowboys`.
[0039] FIG. 2 illustrates a portion of the skullcap 100 and more
particularly the peripheral band 105 which shows that the indicia
107 may be a logo or catchphrase.
[0040] FIG. 3 illustrates the skullcap 100 which has been inverted,
and FIG. 3 shows that the peripheral band 105 includes a logo of
`T` on the exterior surface of the peripheral band 105 and the
catchphrase `Homerun` on the interior surface of the peripheral
band 105. The interior surface 109 may be a first color which
corresponds to the home team color and the exterior surface 103 is
the second color which corresponds to the away team color or
different team color.
[0041] The logo `T` could be on the interior surface of the
peripheral band 105 and the catchphrase "Homerun` could be on the
exterior surface of the peripheral band 105 simply by reversing or
turning the skullcap 100 inside out.
[0042] FIG. 4 illustrates a double bib hat 400 which could be
flexible or rigid in accordance with the teachings of the present

color and a back surface 451 which may be the second color which
corresponds to the a different team color. The bib hat 400 may
include a front bib 441 or visor which is connected to the front
surface 449 and a back bid 443 or visor which is connected to the
back surface 451. The front bib 441 may be the same color as the
front surface 449, namely the first color, and the back bib may be
the same color as the back surface 451, namely the second color for
different team. Alternatively, the front bib 441 or the back bib
443 may be a third color for yet a third team.
[0043] FIG. 4 additionally illustrates front indicia 445 positioned
on the front surface 449 and illustrates back indicia 447
positioned on the back surface 451. The front indicia 445 and the
back indicia 447 may be a logo or a catchphrase as described
herein. The bib hat 400 is reversible in that the front surface 449
can be positioned on the back and the back surface 451 could be
positioned on the front of the user. The first color may be the
color for the home games are first-team and the second color may be
the color for the away games or a second team (different).
[0044] FIG. 5 illustrates a headband 500 which is reversible
headband with the exterior surface 553 being a first color which
may correspond to the color of the home team color for first-team
and interior surface 555 being a second color which may correspond
to the color of the away team color or second team. The exterior
surface 553 may include a first indicia 559 which may be a logo or
a catchphrase, and the interior surface 555 may include a second
indicia 557 which may be a logo or catchphrase. The headband 500
may be reversed so that the interior surface 555 is now the
exterior surface being the second color and the exterior surface
553 is now be interior surface being the first color.
[0045] FIG. 6 illustrates a skullcap 600 or knit cap which allows
the user to display colors from two teams and display each teams
home and away colors. The skullcap 600 is reversible as previously
discussed. The skullcap 600 includes an exterior front surface 661
and an exterior back surface 662. The exterior front surface 661
may be a first color which corresponds to the selected team color
of the first team, and the exterior back surface 662 may be a
second color which corresponds to the away team color of the first
team or a different team. The skullcap 600 includes an interior
front surface 663 and an interior back surface 664 in which the
interior front surface 663 may be a third color which corresponds
to the home team color of the second team and the interior back
surface 664 may be a fourth color which corresponds to the away
team color of the second team. The skullcap 600 may be reversed by
which the interior front surface 663 and the egg interior back
surface 664 becomes the exterior front surface and the exterior
back surface respectively.
