Combined Computer Case
Abstract
A combined computer case is provided which includes two first
panels opposing to each other, at least three support posts
respectively located round the first panels and perpendicular to
the first panels, and at least three side panels. Each side panel
is provided between two neighboring support posts. Each first panel
has at least three connecting portions for corresponding to the
other first panel. Each support post has first connecting sheets on
both ends thereof for corresponding to the first connecting potions
of the first panels. The first panels, the support posts and the
side panels are pillar or planar components, and respectively act
as minimum units of a cubic computer case. In assembly, the first
connecting sheets respectively connect with the first panels to
form a support frame of a computer case. Finally the side panels
are assembled to complete assembly of the computer case.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] (a) Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a combined computer case,
and in particular to a combined computer case which receives a
computer host and associated computer components therein.
[0003] (b) Description of the Prior Art
[0004] A conventional computer case is typically used to
accommodate a computer host and associated components therein. In
general, a computer host and associated computer components are
fixed in appropriate positions within the computer case. The
computer host is demanded to prohibit against damage by external
impact when it is working. Accordingly, the computer case must be
designed to be solid and encapsulated.
[0005] The conventional computer case is mainly composed of a
unitarily formed frame for accommodating a computer host and
associated computer components therein, and is cubic with panels on
all sides. Since the conventional computer case is mainly composed
of a unitarily formed frame, the panels can not be detached and
stored easily. Such a conventional computer case has to occupy a
certain space during the whole period of shipment, offering for
sale and carrying by a buyer. The unitary structure requires
sufficient space in every carrying process, resulting in waste of
gasoline, and hindering from reduction of carrying cost.
[0006] Moreover, when the computer case is idle, it still occupies
limited space in a warehouse, correspondingly increasing storage
cost and further troubling buyers' carrying.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] An object of the present invention is to provide a combined
computer case which saves space for carrying and storage and
facilitates rapid assembly.
[0008] The combined computer case of the present invention
comprises two first panels opposing to each other, at least three
support posts, and at least three side panels. Each side panel is
provided between two neighboring support posts. Each first panel
has at least three connecting portions adjacent to the other first
panel. The support posts are respectively located round the first
panels and perpendicular to the first panels. Each support post has
first connecting sheets on both ends thereof for corresponding to
the first connecting portions of the first panels.
[0009] The combined computer case is mainly composed of pillar
components and planar components, therefore occupying minimum space
for carrying and storage and expediting assembly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0016] Referring to FIGS. 1-4, a combined computer case in
accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention
comprises a coupe of first panels 1, a second panel 2, four support
posts 3 and four side panels 4.
[0017] The first panels 1 are disposed in horizontal direction, and
are opposing to each other. First connecting portions 11 are
respectively formed on the first panels 1. In one embodiment, each
first panel 1 defines two first through holes 111 adjacent to and
opposing to each other.
[0018] The second panel 2 is located between the first panels 1,
and forms two cavities with the two first panels 1. The second
panel 2 forms second connecting portions 21. In one embodiment, the
second panel 2 defines two first connecting holes 211.
[0019] Four support posts 3 are respectively disposed on sides of
the first panels 1, and are respectively perpendicular to the first
panels 1. The four support posts 3 are arranged in such a way that
any three support posts 3 may form apexes of a right triangle. Each
support post 3 has first connecting sheets 31 on both ends thereof.
The first connecting sheets 31 correspond to the first connecting
portions 11 of the first panels 1, and are perpendicular to the
support posts 3. In one embodiment, the first connecting sheets 31
define second through holes 311 for corresponding to the first
through holes 111 Each support post 3 has a second connecting sheet
32 for corresponding to the second connecting portions 21 of the
second panel 2. In one embodiment, the second connecting sheet 32
defines two second connecting holes 321 for corresponding to the
first through holes 211 of the second connecting portions 21.
[0020] Each support post 3 defines two positioning grooves 33
perpendicular to the first panels 1. Extending lines of the two
positioning grooves 33 of each support post 3 intersect at a right
angle. Positioning grooves 33 of two neighboring support posts 3
respectively correspond to each other. Each support post 3 forms a
plurality of anti-slippery patterns 34 on a peripheral thereof.
[0021] The four side panels 4 are respectively disposed between to
neighboring support posts 3. Each side panel 4 forms sliding
portions 41 at both sides thereof for snapping into the positioning
grooves 33 of the support post 3.
[0022] A plurality of screw units 5 respectively either extends
through the first through holes 111 and the second through holes
311, or extends through the first connecting holes 211 and the
second connecting holes 321.
[0023] The first panels 1, the second panel 2, the support posts 3
and the side panels 4 are respectively pillar or planar components,
and respectively act as minimum units of a cubic computer case. In
order to facilitate carrying and storage, in assembly the first
connecting sheets 31 on both ends of the support posts 3 are
respectively connected with the first connecting portions 11 of the
first panels 1. In one embodiment, the screw units 5 extend through
the first through holes 111 and the second through holes 311 for
combining the first panels 1 and the first connecting sheets 31,
thereby forming a support frame of a computer case. The second
panel 2 partitions between the first panels 1. The second
connecting portions 21 of the second panel 2 are respectively
connected to the second connecting sheet 32. The screw units 5
extend through the first connecting holes 211 and the second
connecting holes 321 for positioning the second panels 2.
Therefore, space between the first panels 1 is partitioned into two
cavities for receiving a computer host and associated computer
components therein. The sliding portions 41 of the side panels 4
slide to snap into the positioning grooves 33 of adjacent support
posts 3. Thus a cubic and encapsulated computer case is
assembled.
[0024] Referring to FIGS. 5 and 6, a computer case according to a
second embodiment of the present invention is cubic, and comprises
two first panels 1, four support posts 3 and side panels 4. The
first panels 1 are located in vertical direction and are opposing
to each other. The support posts 3 are located horizontally round
the first panels 1. Sliding portions 41 of the side panels 4 snap
into positioning grooves 33 of the support posts 3, forming a cubic
computer case. Each support post 3 forms a plurality of
anti-slippery patterns 34 on a peripheral thereof. The present
invention has the following advantages:
[0025] The first panels 1, the second panel 2, the support posts 3
and the side panels 4 of the combined computer case are
respectively pillar or planar components, and therefore minimum
space is required to pack, carry and store the detached computer
case. As a result, the shipment amount increases and the shipment
cost decreases.
[0026] The users can assemble such a combined computer case quickly
according to practical demand, and partition space between the
first panels 1 with the second panel 2 for receiving a computer
host and associated computer components therein.
[0027] The anti-slippery patterns 34 on the support posts 3
effectively aid users to hold the support posts 3 during assembly
and disassembly.
[0028] It is understood that the invention may be embodied in other
forms without departing from the spirit thereof. Thus, the present
examples and embodiments are to be considered in all respects as
illustrative and not restrictive, and the invention is not to be
limited to the details given herein.
