Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] (1) Field of the Invention
[0002] The invention relates to an exercise product, and more
particularly to a striking apparatus used for boxing and
kicking.
[0003] (2) Description of the Prior Art
[0004] Taiwan Patent No. M293059 discloses a striking apparatus,
which is available in the market and includes a base. A primary rod
is disposed at a center of the base. A top end of the primary rod
is connected to an elastomer, and a secondary rod is further
connected to the elastomer. A top end of the secondary rod is
connected to a primary striking body. The primary rod is extended
to form a branch. The surface of a connection portion of an end
portion of the branch is formed with an engaging tooth. The
engaging tooth may engage with an engaging tooth formed on a
surface of a fitting portion of a secondary striking body, and a
screwing element, which may be rotated to get tight or loose,
penetrates through the secondary striking body to fix the secondary
striking body. The screwing element can adjust an angle between the
secondary striking body and the connection portion.
[0005] Using the secondary striking body can adjust the swinging
angle of the structure so that the striking range can be enlarged
and different striking positions can be obtained. Thus, the
exercise can proceed without the boring feeling. In addition, the
base is formed with a through hole, into which fillers may be
placed. When a lot of fillers are filled into the base, the base
can be positioned more firmly. If the striking apparatus has to be
moved, the fillers may be extracted out to reduce the weight so
that the striking apparatus may be moved more easily. However, no
buffer restoring structure, such as the elastomer, is disposed
between the secondary striking body and the branch, and the
secondary striking body is usually made of a metal material or a
plastic material by way of filling molding. If the user strikes the
secondary striking body too heavy, the secondary striking body
tends to bend and deform or even break.
[0006] In view of this, the invention provides a novel striking
apparatus to solve the conventional problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] A main object of the invention is to provide a striking
apparatus, which has an intensified structure and can immediately
restore to its original state.
[0008] To achieve the above-identified object, the invention is
composed of a blow-molded plastic rod body and a striking portion.
A base is formed with a chamber to be filled with fillers. The rod
body is integrally and transversally extended to form a connection
rod. An external thread is formed on a surface of the connection
rod. Thus, the rod body is a hollow plastic structure, which is
integrally formed.
[0009] Next, the external thread is connected to one end of a
helical spring. The other end of the helical spring may be
connected to the striking portion. The striking portion includes a
link and a striking block. The striking block is also formed by way
of plastic blow molding. An extended end portion of the striking
block is formed with a two-side toothed portion. One end of the
link serves as a connection portion for connecting the striking
portion to the helical spring. A surface of the other end of the
link is formed with an engaging tooth to be engaged with the
two-side toothed portion. The engaging tooth may be engaged with
any toothed surface of the two-side toothed portion. An adjusting
bolt is inserted between the engaging tooth and the two-side
toothed portion. The vertical up and down swinging angles of the
striking block may be adjusted and fixed according to the personal
requirements by rotating the adjusting bolt to get tight or
loose.
[0010] The structure of the invention has the following
effects.
[0011] First, the rod body and the connection rod of the invention
are integrally formed by way of plastic blow molding. Thus, the
structure intensity of the product is increased, and the costs of
manufacturing and assembling the elements can be decreased.
[0012] Second, the invention utilizes the property of the restoring
resilience of the helical spring so that the striking portion is
forced to swing backwards greatly, and the helical spring
immediately pulls the striking portion back. Thus, as long as the
force does not exceed the allowable range of the helical spring,
the striking portion may restore to its original state. Therefore,
the striking portion is free from being bent or even broken, and
the striking portion may also be integrally formed by way of
plastic blow molding. Thus, the hollow structure can generate the
larger sound and the entertainment of use may be enhanced.
[0013] Further aspects, objects, and desirable features of the
invention will be better understood from the detailed description
and drawings that follow in which various embodiments of the
disclosed invention are illustrated by way of examples.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0020] The invention relates to a striking apparatus. Illustrations
regarding to the adopted technological means and the effects to
achieve the above-identified objects and features of the invention
will be made with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2.
[0021] The striking apparatus according to the invention mainly
includes a base 10 and a rod body 20. The base 10 has a chamber 11,
into which fillers 60 may be filled to prevent the base 10 from
being moved by an external force. The rod body 20 is a two-stage
assembled structure including an upper rod 21 and a lower rod 22,
each of which is an integrally formed plastic and hollow structure
manufactured by way of blow molding. Connection portions between
the upper and lower rods 21 and 22 are fixed by several screws 70.
The other end of the lower rod 22 is formed with an external thread
so that the other end of the lower rod 22 may be directly screwed
into a disk body. Then, the disk body is fixed to the base 10. A
ball body 30 is disposed on the other end of the upper rod 21, and
the upper rod 21 is integrally and transversally extended to form a
connection rod 211. The surface of the connection rod 211 is formed
with an external thread. Because each of the upper rod 21 and the
connection rod 211 is integrally formed by way of plastic blow
molding, the used elements may be simplified, and the manufacturing
and assembling costs may be decreased.
[0022] Next, the external thread may be directly screwed to one end
of a helical spring 40. The other end of the helical spring 40 may
be connected to a striking portion 50, which includes a link 51 and
a striking block 52. The striking block 52 is a plastic hollow
structure integrally formed by way of blow molding, and has an
extended end portion formed with a two-side toothed portion 521.
One end of the link 51 serves as a connection portion between the
striking portion 50 and the helical spring 40. A surface of the
other end of the link 51 is formed with an engaging tooth 511 to be
engaged with the two-side toothed portion 521. The engaging tooth
511 may be engaged with any one of the tooth surfaces of the
two-side toothed portion 521. An adjusting bolt 53 is inserted
between the engaging tooth 511 and the two-side toothed portion
521. An anti-release screw rod 531 is provided to make the
adjusting bolt 53 be fixed. As shown in FIG. 3, the adjusting bolt
53 is rotated so that the up and down swinging angles of the
striking block 52 may be adjusted and fixed according to the
personal preferred requirement.
[0023] In addition, the screws 70 are screwed to connection
portions between the helical spring 40 and the connection rod 211
and between the helical spring 40 and the link 51 to prevent the
helical spring 40 from separating from the connection rod 211 or
the link 51. A soft pad 54 is disposed on each of two sides of the
striking block 52. A projecting positioning body 522 is disposed on
the surface of the striking block 52. The positioning body 522 can
penetrate through a through hole 541 of the soft pad 54. In
addition, a protection sheath 55 covers the surfaces of the
striking block 52 and the soft pad 54 so that the soft pad 54 can
be reliably combined with the striking block 52.
[0024] FIG. 4 shows a stationary state of the invention. FIG. 4A
shows a forced state of the invention. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 4A,
when the user applies a force to the striking portion 50 so that
the striking portion 50 is externally forced to swing backward.
However, the resilience of the helical spring 40 makes the striking
portion 50 immediately restore to its original state. Because the
structure thereof is integrally formed by way of plastic blow
molding, it can withstand the larger force. The conventional
problems that the striking portion 50 is deformed or broken into
fragments to hurt a person due to the too large force can be
eliminated so that the usage thereof become safer. In addition, the
striking portions 50 and the connection rods 211 may be disposed on
the upper rod 21, and the lower rod 22, as shown in FIG. 5. In
addition, the numbers of the striking portions 50 and the
connection rods 211 may be adjusted according to the personal
preferred requirement so that the difficulty of striking can be
indirectly adjusted and the striking range of the user and the
ability of the user can be greatly enhanced.
[0025] New characteristics and advantages of the invention covered
by this document have been set forth in the foregoing description.
It is to be expressly understood, however, that the drawings are
for the purpose of illustration only and are not intended as a
definition of the limits of the invention. Changes in methods,
shapes, structures or devices may be made in details without
exceeding the scope of the invention by those who are skilled in
the art. The scope of the invention is, of course, defined in the
