Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a socks accommodation
device, and particularly to a cylindrical and long and narrow socks
accommodation device, whose outer periphery is fully scattered with
slit-like long slot holes.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Socks would be frequently changed and washed in the daily
life of ordinary people, and many people will wear socks with
different colors and styles in different occasions; as a result,
almost everyone will keep a certain amount of socks for
replacement. However, most people might have the same experiences
that when accommodating many different socks in a same drawer, it
is not only in a mess but also very time-consuming and painstaking
to find the right pairs, and missing socks often take place.
[0003] It is known that there are a lot of disclosures regarding
the socks accommodation device being proposed, for example, as
shown in FIG. 9, which is quoted from R.O.C. Utility Model Patent
No. M283580, entitled "Socks accommodation apparatus" and including
a retainer (1'), a rotation shaft (2') hinged at one end of the
retainer (1'), and a plurality of radial positioning plates (3')
disposed on the outer periphery of the rotation shaft (2'), being
in an curved state and warped at one end, in which each two
positioning plates (3') are formed as a pair of plate set (4') for
socks to be worn thereon.
[0004] The above-mentioned publication has the design focusing on
employing the rotation of the rotational shaft (2') to rotate the
positioning plate (3') hinged on the rotational shaft (2'), so that
it is convenient to pick the suitable socks if needed, and
employing the structure of the positioning plate (3') to keep the
original shape of the socks. It could be comprehended that this
publication could basically satisfy the object for arranging and
accommodating socks, but the apparatus requires a large rotation
space and storage space.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0005] The first object of the present invention is to provide a
socks accommodation device, which could overcome the defect of the
conventional socks accommodation device for occupying large
space.
[0006] To achieve this and other ends, the socks accommodation
device according to the present invention includes a body having an
accommodation space therein; wherein the body is composed of a
transparent or a translucent material as a cylinder with an axial
length larger than a radial width and is provided with a closed
bottom portion at the lower end and formed with a plurality of rows
along the outer periphery, each row has a plurality of axial long
slot holes penetrating through the sidewall, and at least one
hanger is disposed on the top end.
[0007] According to the present invention, the axial length of the
body is preferably 5.about.8 times larger than the radial width
takes the long and narrow form, and the bodies can be serially
connected as a whole through the hanger and the Velcro tape.
Therefore, the body could be hung at a corner of a wardrobe or the
gap between clothes, and the socks could be accommodated in order
without occupying space.
[0008] According to the present invention, the body is composed of,
for example, a soft PVC transparent material or a translucent
material, allowing to see through the body to know the colors and
styles of the socks within the accommodation space and facilitating
to pick and draw out socks from the nearest long slot hole. This is
the second object of the present invention.
[0009] According to the present invention, the top end of the body
includes a hook in roughly in form of a "7", which could be hung on
a door panel of a room to fully utilize the space or corner behind
the door panel. This is the third object of the present
invention.
[0010] According to the present invention, the hanger on the top
end of the body includes a hook that rotates with respect to the
body, which facilitates to rotate the body while selecting the
colors and styles for the socks. This is the fourth object of the
present invention.

apparatus".
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0020] The technical features of the present invention will be
further described in association with the embodiments. These
embodiments are only the preferred examples instead of the one
limiting the implementation scope of the present invention, which
could be best comprehended by referring to the attached figures in
conjunction with the detailed description as follows.
[0021] Firstly, FIG. 1 to 5 relates to the first embodiment of the
socks accommodation device according to the present invention,
which mainly includes a body 1, which is provided with an
accommodation space therein, is formed as a cylinder with an axial
length L larger than a radial width D, and is provided with a
closed bottom portion 11 at the lower end, and is formed with an
opening 12 at an upper end for pitching the socks 2 in the
accommodation space; and a plurality of rows formed along the outer
periphery of the body 1, in which each row is composed of a
plurality of axial long slot holes 13 penetrating the sidewall for
drawing out socks 2 from the accommodation space; the long slot
holes 13 of the adjacent rows are alternately positioned to be high
and low. The length of the long slot hole 13 is preferably about
5.about.8 cm and is thermally pressed with reinforced ribs 13a
along the edges of each long slot hole 13, as shown in FIG. 2,
which could prevent the edges of the long slot hole 13 from being
cracked due to frequent usage. Moreover, the top end of the body 12
is dispose with at least a hanger 14, such as a pair of Velcro
tapes 141, for hanging the body 1 at a corner of a wardrobe or a
gap between clothes or behind the door of the room.
[0022] According to the present invention, the body 1 is preferably
composed of a transparent material or a translucent material, such
as a soft PVC sheet material and the like, allowing to see through
the body to know the colors and styles of the socks 2 within the
accommodation space and to pick therefrom, as shown in FIG. 3 and
FIG. 4. Besides, preferably, a side of the bottom portion 11 of the
body 1 is provided with a lateral opening 15, which could be opened
or closed by a zipper 15a, for example, and facilitate to
completely dump out the socks 2 within the accommodation space for
rearrangement.
[0023] Moreover, as shown in FIG. 5, in order to sufficiently
utilize corners of a wardrobe or gaps between clothes, the axial
length of the body 1 is at least twice larger than the radial
width; preferably, the axial length L is about 5.about.8 times
larger than the radial width D in a long and narrow form;
furthermore, the lower end of the body 1 is provided with the
Velcro tapes 141 for the hanger 14, so as to serially connect the
bodies 1 together through the hanger 14 and the Velcro tapes
141.
[0024] FIG. 6 is used to describe the second embodiment of the
socks accommodation device according to the present invention. The
basic structure of the present embodiment is approximately the same
as the previous embodiment, and thus it will not be described
herein. What the present embodiment differs from the previous
embodiment is that the hanger 14 at the top end of the body 1
includes a hanger 142 that is rotatable with respect to the body 1,
and facilitates to rotate the body 1 while picking the colors and
styles of the socks 2.
[0025] FIG. 7 is used to describe the third embodiment of the socks
accommodation device according to the present invention. The basic
structure of the present embodiment is approximately the same as
the previous embodiment, and thus it will not be described herein.
What the present embodiment differs from previous embodiments is
that the top end of the body 1 includes a hook 143 roughly in form
of a "7", which could be hung on the door panel of a room r for
sufficiently utilizing the space or corner behind the door
panel.
[0026] FIG. 8 is used to describe the fourth embodiment of the
socks accommodation device according to the present invention. What
the present embodiment differs from the previous embodiments is
that the circumference D2 at the lower end of the body 1 is larger
than the circumference D1 at the top end, so that when the socks 2
are pitched in the opening 12 at the top end of the body 1, it
could be easily dropped into the accommodation space.
[0027] In a summary, the socks accommodation device according to
the present invention could hang the body at a corner of a
wardrobe, gap between clothes, or behind the door, so that socks
could be received in order, occupy less space, and facilitate to
pick and access. As such, the present invention has novelty,
progressiveness and industrial utility.
[0028] While the invention has been described in terms of what is
presently considered to be the most practical and preferred
embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention needs not be
limited to the disclosed embodiment. On the contrary, it is
intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements
included within the spirit and scope of the appended claims, which
are to be accorded with the broadest interpretation so as to
encompass all such modifications and similar structures.
