Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention includes a first invention and a
second invention, the first invention relating to a novel lateral
pin for use with lateral pin type fixture for working machine
bucket that, even when used for a long period of time, will not
generate rust in the critical portions thereof; especially, allows
the pin removal to be made simply and easily; and eliminates the
need for making a hazardous hammering operation, thereby being
capable of securing the operator's safety, and the second invention
relating to a novel lateral pin type tooth point structure for
working machine bucket that, even when used for a long period of
time, will not generate rust in the critical portions of a lateral
pin, i.e., an internal thread part provided for the lateral pin and
an external thread part tightened thereto in the state of being
screw-fastened; yet allows the pertinent lateral pin to be removed
simply and easily; and eliminates the need for making a hazardous
hammering operation in removing the pertinent lateral pin as is
required with the prior art, thereby being capable of securing the
operator's safety.
BACKGROUND ART
[0002] With various buckets for use by mounting to a working
machine, such as a power shovel, a shovel loader, or the like, the
rear parts of a plurality of tooth points are fitted to a plurality
of (for example, four or five) adapters disposed in a row, being
equally spaced, on the ground excavation edge part side of the
bucket, respectively, a lateral pin being fitted into the
respective lateral holes penetrating through the adapter and the
pertinent tooth point, thereby the tooth point being fixedly
installed to the adapter so as to be removable.
[0003] The configuration and the use state of such a conventional
type of lateral pin will be outlined with reference to FIG. 5 to
FIG. 9.
[0004] In first and second examples of prior art as shown in FIG. 5
to FIG. 9, a loading projected portion 22a of an adapter 22
disposed on the ground excavation edge part side of a working
machine bucket 21 is fitted into a receiving recessed portion 25
provided in a tooth point 24, and a lateral pin 26 is driven in
with a hammer, or the like, such that it is substantially
penetrated through a lateral hole provided in the loading projected
portion 22a, and lateral holes provided in the side walls of the
receiving recessed portion 25, whereby these adapter 22 and tooth
point 24 are fixedly installed as if they were an integral
part.
[0005] As the lateral pin 26, a lateral pin as shown in FIG. 6 and
FIG. 7 is used which has a spring washer part 28 which is butted
against the lateral hole internal wall of the adapter 22 for
prevention of dropping off, being accommodated in a smaller
diameter part 27a provided in the central portion along the
lengthwise direction of a pin body 27 having a diameter slightly
smaller than that of the lateral hole.
[0006] The outside diameter of this spring washer part 28 is larger
than the inside diameter of the lateral hole in the adapter 22, and
at the time of fitting into the lateral hole, the spring function
causes the outside diameter of the spring washer part 28 to be
equal to the lateral hole. Then when the lateral pin 26 is
completely driven in, the spring washer part 28 is butted against
the lateral hole internal wall of the adapter 22 in the course of
returning to the original dimension. Thus, the lateral pin 26
provides a dropping-off prevention capability.
[0007] In a second example of prior art as shown in FIG. 8 and FIG.
9, the loading projected portion of an adapter 22 disposed on the
ground excavation edge part side of a working machine bucket 21 is
fitted into a receiving recessed portion 25 provided in a tooth
point 24, and a lateral pin 31 is driven in with a hammer, or the
like, from the outside of a lateral hole provided on one side of
the tooth point 24 such that it is substantially penetrated through
a lateral hole provided in the loading projected portion, and
lateral holes provided in the side walls of the receiving recessed
portion 25.
[0008] In this case, a retainer 32 disposed at the outside of the
end of a lateral hole provided in the adapter 22 that is on the
other side of the tooth point 24 is engaged with a pin groove 31a
provided in the vicinity of the end of the lateral pin 31, whereby
these adapter 22 and tooth point 24 are fixedly installed to each
other as if they were an integral part, and the lateral pin 31 is
prevented from dropping-off.
[0009] As shown in FIG. 9, the retainer 32 is comprised of a
cylindrical element 33 which is attached to the lateral hole in the
adapter 22, and a spring washer 34 of a split type attached to this
cylindrical element 33, the inside diameter of the spring washer 34
being made smaller than the outside diameter of the lateral pin 31,
and being expanded by the spring function at the time of the
lateral pin being driven in, which is followed by the inside
diameter part of the spring washer 34 being engaged with the pin
groove 31a provided in the vicinity of the end of the lateral pin
31 for preventing it from dropping off.
[0010] However, in the case of the above-described first example of
prior art, repetition of the actual operation outdoors has caused
the spring washer part 28 to generate rust, which has often
resulted in increased adhesion of the adapter 22 to the internal
wall of the lateral hole to make it extremely difficult to extract
the lateral pin 26.
[0011] In addition, in the case of the above-described second
example of prior art, no adequate tool for extracting the lateral
pin 31 from the retainer 32 has been available, which has often
made it extremely difficult to extract the lateral pin 31.
[0012] Further, in the case of either of the first and second
examples of prior art, driving-in and extraction operations with
the use of a hammer are mandatory, and those operations are
extremely hazardous, because they have led to such an accident as
that of one hand of an operator holding a lateral pin extraction
tool having been wrongly struck, resulting in a serious injury
being caused.
[0013] Patent literature 1 discloses a ground-leveling plate for a
bucket to be mounted to such a civil engineering/construction
machine as a power shovel, or the like, with which the rear part of
a tooth point is fitted to an adapter previously welded to the
ground excavation edge part of the bucket, and a lateral pin is
force-fitted into the respective lateral holes penetrating through
the adapter and the tooth point for making the tooth point
removable.
[0014] Also in the case of this Patent literature 1, no special
ideas about lateral pin extraction are given, and no tools for
lateral pin extraction are mentioned.
[Patent document 1] Japanese Patent Laid-Open Publication No.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0015] The problem to be solved by the first invention is that
there exists no lateral pin for use with lateral pin type fixture
for working machine bucket that, even when used outdoors over a
long period of time, the critical portions of the lateral pin will
not generate rust, and yet eliminates the need for using a special
tool to remove the pin, that is, allows pin removal to be carried
out simply and easily only with an ordinal tool, and that avoids
the need for making a hazardous hammering operation, thus being
excellent in terms of securing the safety of operator.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0060] A first invention is intended to provide a lateral pin for
use with lateral pin type fixture for working machine bucket that,
even when used outdoors over a long period of time, the critical
portions of the lateral pin will not generate rust, and yet
eliminates the need for using a special tool to remove the pin,
that is, allows pin removal to be carried out simply and easily
only with an ordinal tool, and that avoids the need for making a
hazardous hammering operation, thus being excellent in terms of
securing the safety of operator.
[0061] The lateral pin of the first invention for use with lateral
pin type fixture for working machine bucket has achieved the
above-mentioned purpose by means of a lateral pin for use with
lateral pin type fixture for working machine bucket that is
inserted into respective lateral holes penetrating through a
particular one of adapters disposed in a row on the excavating edge
part side of a working machine bucket and a tooth point fitted to
that adapter from one side of the respective lateral holes, and
screw-fastened on the other side thereof for fixedly installing the
tooth point to the adapter, including a bolt type lateral pin body
with an internal thread provided from a projection end part thereof
toward the inside of the same; a washer loaded on the basal end
part side of the lateral pin body; a seal washer covered with a
sealing material, or the like, against storm water, a washer, and a
seal washer covered with a sealing material, or the like, against
storm water, which are intervened on the projection end part side
of the lateral pin body; and a bolt screw-fastened to an internal
thread of the lateral pin body.
[0062] A second invention is intended to provide a lateral pin type
tooth point structure for working machine bucket that, by screw
connection between a pin body having a polygonal head portion and
provided with an internal thread part on the insertion tip side
thereof, and a set bolt having a polygonal head portion (i.e., an
external thread part of the set bolt screwed in into the internal
thread part of the pin body), eliminates the possibility of rust
being generated in the critical portions of the lateral pin, i.e.,
the internal thread part provided for the lateral pin, and the
external thread part fastened to the internal thread part in the
tightened state, even in case of outdoor use over a long period of
time; yet allows an adapter and a tooth point fitted to this
adapter to be easily connected with or disconnected from each
other, simply by using an ordinal tool, such as a ratchet wrench, a
ring wrench, or the like, with no need for using a special tool as
is required with the prior art; eliminates the need for making a
hazardous hammering operation in pin removal as is required with
the prior art, giving excellency in terms of securing the safety of
operator; and by concaved parts of the tooth point, is capable of
protecting the lateral pin body head portion and set bolt head
portion against damage due to the contact with the soil, and the
like, at the time of ground excavation by the working machine
bucket.
[0063] The second invention has achieved the above-mentioned
purpose by means of a lateral pin type tooth point structure for
working machine bucket which inserts a lateral pin into respective
lateral holes penetrating through a particular one of adapters
disposed in a row on the excavating edge part side of a working
machine bucket and a tooth point fitted to that adapter from one
side of the respective lateral holes, and screw-fastens the lateral
pin on the other side thereof for fixedly installing the tooth
point to the adapter, wherein the lateral pin includes a pin body
with a polygonal head portion and an internal thread part provided
on the insertion tip side, and a set bolt with an external thread
part screwed in into the internal thread part of the pin body on
the other side of the respective lateral holes, and a polygonal
head portion; the tooth point is provided with a receiving recessed
portion on the basal end part side into which a loading projected
portion of the adapter of the working machine bucket is fitted; on
both side walls of this receiving recessed portion, a pair of
lateral holes for insertion of the lateral pin is provided; and in
the respective regions of the pair of lateral holes, a concaved
part for protecting the lateral pin head portion and set bolt head
portion against damage due to the contact with the soil, and the
like, at the time of ground excavation by the working machine
bucket is provided.
Embodiments of First Invention
[0064] Hereinbelow, a lateral pin for use with lateral pin type
fixture for working machine bucket pertaining to embodiments of the
first invention will be described in detail.
Embodiment 1
[0065] With reference to FIG. 22 and FIG. 23, a lateral pin 1 for
use with lateral pin type fixture for a working machine bucket 21
pertaining to the present embodiment 1 will be described.
[0066] The lateral pin 1 for use with lateral pin type fixture for
working machine bucket pertaining to the present embodiment 1 as
shown in FIG. 22 and FIG. 23 is configured such that it allows the
adapter 22 and the tooth point 24 for the above-mentioned working
machine bucket 21 as shown in FIG. 5 to be firmly connected to each
other by the screw fastening method as if they were an integral
part.
[0067] In other words, as shown in FIG. 22, FIG. 23, and FIG. 18 to
FIG. 21, the lateral pin 1 for use with lateral pin type fixture
for working machine bucket pertaining to the present embodiment 1
includes a bolt type lateral pin body 2 with an internal thread 3
provided from a projection end part thereof toward the inside of
the same; a washer 4 loaded on the basal end part side of the
lateral pin body 2; a seal washer 5 covered with a sealing
material, such as a rubber gasket, or the like, against storm
water, a washer 6, and a seal washer 7 covered with a sealing
material, such as a rubber gasket, or the like, against storm water
which are intervened on the projection end part side of the lateral
pin body 2; and a bolt 8 screw-fastened to an internal thread 3 of
the lateral pin body 2.
[0068] The lateral pin 1 and adapter 22 may have a configuration as
shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 illustrating a variant embodiment 1 of
the first invention, and the tooth point 24 may have a recessed
part 111b as in the embodiment of the second invention.
[0069] When the lateral pin 1 for use with lateral pin type fixture
for working machine bucket of the present embodiment 1 is used to
fixedly install the tooth point 24 to the adapter 22 as if they
were an integral part, a receiving recessed portion 25 provided in
the tooth point 24 is first opposed to a loading projected portion
22a of the adapter 22, then the tooth point 24 is inserted into the
adapter 22.
[0070] Next, the washer 4 is loaded on the basal end part side of
the lateral pin body 2, and this lateral pin body 2 is inserted
into a lateral hole 24a of the tooth point 24 on one side thereof,
a lateral hole 22b of the adapter 22, and a lateral hole 24a of the
tooth point 24 on the other side thereof in this order.
[0071] Next, a seal washer 5, a washer 6, and a seal washer 7 are
fitted to the bolt 8 in this order, and from the outside of the
lateral hole 24a on the other side of the tooth point 24, the bolt
8 is screwed in into the internal thread 3 to be tightened.
[0072] Thus, with the lateral pin 1 for use with lateral pin type
fixture for working machine bucket, the adapter 22 and the tooth
point 24 can be fixedly installed to each other as if they were an
integral part.
[0073] Such an operation of fixedly installing the adapter 22 and
the tooth point 24 to each other by means of the lateral pin 1 for
use with lateral pin type fixture for working machine bucket is
repeated by the number of times equal to the number of adapters 22
disposed in a row (for example, 5), whereby the tooth points 24 on
the side of the ground-leveling plate 23 can be rigidly and
integrally installed to the adapters 22 of the working machine
bucket 21, respectively.
[0074] Once, by using the lateral pin 1 for use with lateral pin
type fixture for working machine bucket of the present embodiment
1, the tooth point 24 is integrally installed to the adapter 22,
the bolt 8 is screwed in into the internal thread 3 provided on the
projection end part side of the lateral pin body 2 through the seal
washer 5, the washer 6 and the seal washer 7, thus even in the case
where the working machine bucket 21 is used outdoors over a long
period of time, being exposed to storm water, and the like, no
moisture will reach the threaded part of the bolt 8 and the
internal thread 3, and as a result, it can be avoided that these
critical portions of the lateral pin 1 generate rust.
[0075] Next, how to remove the tooth point 24 from the adapter 22
will be described. The removing operation is initiated by using a
tool such as a wrench, or the like, to loosen the bolt 8 to remove
it together with the seal washer 5, the washer 6, and the seal
washer 7 from the internal thread 3. At this time, as described
above, since no rust is generated in the threaded part of the bolt
8 and on the internal thread 3, the bolt 8 can be easily and simply
removed.
[0076] Then, the lateral pin body 2 is extracted together with the
washer 4 from the lateral hole 24a on one side of the tooth point
24.
[0077] Such an operation of extracting the lateral pin body 2. is
repeated by the number of times equal to the number of adapters 22
disposed in a row (for example, 5).
[0078] According to the lateral pin 1 for use with lateral pin type
fixture for working machine bucket of the present embodiment 1,
even in the case where the working machine bucket 21 is used
outdoors over a long period of time, being exposed to storm water,
and the like, no moisture will reach the threaded part of the bolt
8 and the internal thread 3 to cause rust to occur; yet there is no
need for using a special tool for removing the pin, and only with
an ordinal tool, the pin removal can be simply and easily made; the
need for making a hazardous hammering operation is eliminated,
which provides excellency in terms of securing the safety of
operator; and thus it is capable of making the pin removal
operation simpler and easier, and assuring the operational
safety.
Embodiment 2
[0079] With reference to FIG. 24 and FIG. 25, a lateral pin 11 for
use with lateral pin type fixture for working machine bucket
pertaining to the present embodiment 2 will be described.
[0080] As shown in FIG. 24 and FIG. 25, the lateral pin 11 for use
with lateral pin type fixture for working machine bucket pertaining
to the present embodiment 2 is also configured such that an adapter
22 and a tooth point 24 for the above-mentioned working machine
bucket 21 as shown in FIG. 5 are fixedly installed to each other as
if they were an integral part by the screw fastening method.
[0081] In other words, the lateral pin 11 for use with lateral pin
type fixture for working machine bucket pertaining to the present
embodiment 2 includes a bolt type lateral pin body 12 provided with
an external thread 13 in the projection end part region thereof; a
washer 14 loaded on the basal end part side of the lateral pin body
12; a washer 15 and a seal washer 16 covered with a sealing
material, such as a rubber gasket, or the like, against storm water
which are intervened on the projection end part side of the lateral
pin body 12; and a cap nut 17 screw-fastened to the external thread
13 of the lateral pin body 12.
[0082] The lateral pin 11 may have a configuration as shown in FIG.
3 and FIG. 4 illustrating a variant embodiment 2 of the first
invention, the adapter 22 may have a recessed part 111c as shown in
the same figure, and the tooth point 24 may have a recessed part
111b as in the embodiment of the second invention. In addition, a
seal washer 16a may be added before screw fastening.
[0083] When the lateral pin 11 for use with lateral pin type
fixture for working machine bucket of the present embodiment 2 is
used to fixedly install the tooth point 24 to the adapter 22 as if
they were an integral part, a receiving recessed portion 25
provided in the tooth point 24 is first opposed to a loading
projected portion 22a of the adapter 22, then the tooth point 24 is
inserted into the adapter 22 in the same manner as described above
for the first embodiment.
[0084] Next, the washer 14 is loaded on the basal end part side of
the lateral pin body 12, and this lateral pin body 12 is inserted
into a lateral hole 24a on one side of the tooth point 24, a
lateral hole 22b of the adapter 22, and a lateral hole 24a on the
other side of the tooth point 24 in this order.
[0085] Next, on the circumference of the external thread 13 in the
projection end part region of the lateral pin body 12, the washer
15 and the seal washer 16 are loaded in this order, and in this
state, the cap nut 17 is screw-fastened to the external thread 13
to be tightened.
[0086] Thus, with the lateral pin 11 for use with lateral pin type
fixture for working machine bucket, the adapter 22 and the tooth
point 24 can be fixedly installed to each other as if they were an
integral part.
[0087] Such an operation of fixedly installing the adapter 22 and
the tooth point 24 to each other by means of the lateral pin 11 for
use with lateral pin type fixture for working machine bucket is
repeated by the number of times equal to the number of adapters 22
disposed in a row (for example, 5), whereby the tooth points 24 on
the side of the ground-leveling plate 23 can be rigidly and
integrally installed to the adapters 22 of the working machine
bucket 21, respectively.
[0088] Once, by using the lateral pin 11 for use with lateral pin
type fixture for working machine bucket of the present embodiment
2, the tooth point 24 is integrally installed to the adapter 22,
the cap nut 17 is screwed in to the external thread 13 in the
projection end part region of the lateral pin body 12 through the
washer 15 and the seal washer 16, thus even in the case where the
working machine bucket 21 is used outdoors over a long period of
time, being exposed to storm water, and the like, no moisture will
reach the external thread 13 of the lateral pin body 12, and as a
result, it can be avoided that these critical portions of the
lateral pin 11 generate rust.
[0089] Next, how to remove the tooth point 24 from the adapter 22
will be described. The removing operation is initiated by using a
tool such as a wrench, or the like, to loosen the cap nut 17 to
remove it from the external thread 13. At this time, as described
above, since no rust is generated on the external thread 13, the
cap nut 17 can be easily and simply removed. Further the washer 15
and the seal washer 16 are also removed from the external thread
13.
[0090] Then, the lateral pin body 12 is extracted together with the
washer 14 from the lateral hole 24a on one side of the tooth point
24.
[0091] Such an operation of extracting the lateral pin body 12 is
repeated by the number of times equal to the number of adapters 22
disposed in a row (for example, 5).
[0092] According to the lateral pin 11 for use with lateral pin
type fixture for working machine bucket of the present embodiment
2, even in the case where the working machine bucket 21 is used
outdoors over a long period of time, being exposed to storm water,
and the like, no moisture will reach the threaded part of the bolt
8 and the internal thread 13 to cause rust to occur; yet there is
no need for using a special tool for removing the pin, and only
with an ordinal tool, the pin removal can be simply and easily
made; the need for making a hazardous hammering operation is
eliminated, which provides excellency in terms of securing the
safety of operator; and thus it is capable of making the pin
removal operation simpler and easier, and assuring the operational
safety.
Embodiment of Second Invention
[0093] Hereinbelow, a lateral pin type tooth point structure for
working machine bucket pertaining to an embodiment of a second
invention will be described in detail.
[0094] The lateral pin type tooth point structure for working
machine bucket pertaining to the embodiment of the present
invention is configured such that, by means of a lateral pin 101 as
described below, the adapter 22 for the working machine bucket 21
as shown in FIG. 5 as described above and a tooth point 111 having
substantially the same configuration as that of the above-described
tooth point 24 are fixedly installed to each other as if they were
an integral part by the lateral pin type screw fastening
method.
[0095] In other words, the lateral pin 101 in the lateral pin type
tooth point structure for working machine bucket pertaining to the
present embodiment includes, as shown in FIG. 26 and FIG. 18 to
FIG. 21, a pin body 102 having a polygonal, for example, hexagonal
head portion 102a, and provided with an internal thread part 102b
on the insertion tip side; a disk-like washer 103 fitted to this
pin body 102, and attached to a lateral hole 112 provided on one
side of the tooth point 111; a set bolt 104 having an external
thread part 104b screwed in into the internal thread part 102b of
the pin body 102 in the lateral hole 112 provided on the other side
of the tooth point 111, and having a polygonal, for example,
hexagonal head portion 104a; and a disk-like washer 105 and two
seal washers 106a, 106b fitted to the external thread part 104b of
the set bolt 104 and attached to the lateral hole 112 provided on
the other side of the tooth point 111, being disposed so as to
sandwich this washer 105 and having a sealing function against
storm water, and the like.
[0096] The lateral pin 101 may be formed or configured to have a
geometry as shown in FIG. 10 illustrating the variant embodiment of
the second invention.
[0097] As shown in FIG. 27 to FIG. 32, the tooth point 111
pertaining to the present embodiment has a three-D structure giving
substantially a rectangular top view and substantially a triangular
front view; on the basal end part side, has a receiving recessed
portion 113 into which a loading projected portion 122a (FIG. 33)
of an adapter 122 disposed on the ground excavation edge part side
of the above-described working machine bucket 21 (FIG. 5 and FIG.
33) is fitted; and in both side walls of this receiving recessed
portion 113, is provided with a pair of lateral holes 112 for
insertion of the lateral pin 101.
[0098] The tooth point 111 may be formed or configured to have a
geometry as shown in FIG. 10 to FIG. 17 illustrating the variant
embodiment of the second invention.
[0099] In the regions of the respective lateral holes 112 on one
side and the other side of the tooth point 111, a concaved part 114
is provided to protect the respective head portions 102a, 104a of
the pin body 102 and the set bolt 104 against damage due to contact
with the soil, and the like, at the time of ground excavation by
the working machine bucket.
[0100] The concaved part 114 of the tooth point 111 pertaining to
the present embodiment that is illustrated is provided with
substantially a semi-circular geometry, however, in the present
invention, the type of the geometry of the pertinent portion is not
limited, and the geometry of the pertinent portion may be, for
example, a triangle, a square, or any other polygon besides the
geometry shown.
[0101] Further, the tooth point 111 pertaining to the present
embodiment is provided with a width on the tip 111a side that is
approx. 10 mm longer than that of the prior art for improving the
durability.
[0102] Further, the tooth point 111 pertaining to the present
embodiment that is shown may have a recessed part 111b with an
appropriate geometry, for example, a rectangular shape in the
pertinent flat portion as shown in each figure giving a plan of the
top and bottom surfaces. And in the present invention, the
pertinent flat portion may be plainly flat with no recessed
portion, or the like being formed, and in the present invention,
the pertinent flat portion may be provided with a convex or
projected portion having an appropriate geometry.
[0103] The respective geometries of the head portion 102a of the
pin body 102 and the head portion 104a of the set bolt 104 are not
limited to a hexagon, and for example, may be a polygon, such as a
square, octagon, or the like.
[0104] Next, how to fixedly install the tooth point 111 and the
adapter 122 to each other as if they were an integral part using
the lateral pin 101 of the present embodiment will be
described.
[0105] A receiving recessed portion 113 provided in the tooth point
111 is first opposed to a loading projected portion 122a of the
adapter 122, then the tooth point 111 is inserted into the adapter
122.
[0106] Next, the washer 103 is loaded on the basal end part side of
the lateral pin body 102, and this lateral pin body 102 is inserted
into a lateral hole 112 on one side of the tooth point 111, a
lateral hole 122b of the adapter 122, and a lateral hole 112 on the
other side of the tooth point 111 in this order.
[0107] Next, the seal washer 106a, the washer 105, and the seal
washer 106b are fitted to the set bolt 104 in this order, and from
the outside of the lateral hole 112 on the other side of the tooth
point 111, the external thread part 104b of the set bolt 104 is
screwed in into the internal thread part 102b of the pin body 102
to be tightened for attaching the seal washer 106a, the washer 105,
and the seal washer 106b to the end of the lateral hole 112 on the
other side of the tooth point 111.
[0108] Thus, with the lateral pin 101, the adapter 122 and the
tooth point 111 can be fixedly installed to each other as if they
were an integral part, as shown in FIG. 17 and FIG. 33.
[0109] Such an operation of fixedly installing the adapter 122 and
the tooth point 111 to each other is repeated by the number of
times equal to the number of adapters 122 disposed in a row (for
example, 5), whereby the tooth points 111 can be rigidly and
integrally installed to the adapters 22 (122) of the working
machine bucket 21 (FIG. 5 and FIG. 33), respectively.
[0110] In this case, in the present embodiment, the seal washer
106a, the washer 105, and the seal washer 106b are fitted to the
set bolt 104 screwed in into the internal thread part 102b of the
pin body 102, being attached to the end of the lateral hole 112 on
the other side of the tooth point 111, thus even in the case where
the working machine bucket 21 is used outdoors over a long period
of time, being exposed to storm water, and the like, no moisture
will reach the external thread part 104b of the set bolt 104 and
the internal thread part 102b of the pin body 102, and as a result,
it can be avoided that these critical portions of the lateral pin
101 generate rust.
[0111] Next, how to remove the tooth point 111 from the adapter 22
(122) of the working machine bucket 21 (FIG. 5 and FIG. 33) will be
described.
[0112] The removing operation is made by using an ordinal tool,
such as a ratchet wrench, a ring wrench, or the like. The ratchet
wrench, for example, is applied to the head portion 104a of the set
bolt 104 to turn it for loosening and removing the set bolt 104
from the pin body 102. At this time, as described above, since no
rust is generated in the external thread part 104b of the set bolt
104 and the internal thread part 102b of the pin body 102, the set
bolt 104 can be removed extremely easily.
[0113] And by extracting the pin body 102 from the respective
lateral holes, the tooth point 111 can be extremely simply and
easily removed from the the adapter 22 (122) of the working machine
bucket 21 (FIG. 5 and FIG. 33).
[0114] Thus, in the present embodiment, the head portion 102a of
the pin body 102, and the head portion 104a of the set bolt 104 are
made polygonal, for example, hexagonal, thus there is no need for
using a special tool for removing the lateral pin 101, and only
with an ordinal tool, such as a ratchet wrench, a ring wrench, or
the like, the pin removal can be simply and easily made; the need
for making a hazardous hammering operation in pin removal as is
required with the prior art is eliminated, which assures the safety
of operator being secured.
[0115] The above-described operation of loading the tooth point 111
to the adapter 22 (122) of the working machine bucket 21 (FIG. 5
and FIG. 33), or that of unloading the tooth point 111 from the
adapter 22 (122) as described above are repeated by the number of
times equal to the number of adapters 22 (122) disposed in a row
(for example, 5).
[0116] The lateral pin 101 and tooth point 111 in the lateral pin
type tooth point structure for working machine bucket pertaining to
the present embodiment can, of course, be interchanged with the
conventional lateral pin and tooth point which are used with the
adapter in various existing working machine buckets, and the
like.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
[0117] The lateral pin of the first invention, and the lateral pin
type tooth point structure of the second invention are applicable
not only to the above-mentioned working machine bucket for power
shovels, shovel loaders, and the like, but also machines and
instruments which use a lateral pin connection structure for
connecting/disconnecting one member to/from another member as
required.
