Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to body-building machines, and particularly to a display device of a body building machine, wherein the display panel can present the stages and states of some objects about the exercise with different colors so as to alert the user about the exercise states clearly.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Currently, body-building has become a popular activity. More and more people engages this activity for health and body shaping. Generally, the body building machine has a simple display form which displays data about the exercise or some default data or setting data so that the user can know the state in exercise and thus to adjust the exercise state himself (herself).

[0003] However the display of the prior art body building machine is single color display so that the presentation is dull. If some alert messages desire to be presented to the users, the single color cannot capture the attention of the users. Although some body-building machines emit sounds to alert the user about the state of the exercise, but the sound is too noisy so that the user will feel uncomfortable.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a display device of a body building machine, wherein the display panel can present the stages and states of some objects about the exercise with different colors so as to alert the user about the exercise states clearly.

[0005] To achieve above objects, the present invention provides a display device of a body building machine, comprising: a control portion having as plurality of buttons for controlling the setting of the setting of the processing and display unit; the processing and display unit having a display panel which can display objects by various colors; the processing and display unit serves to display various information in exercise; the display panel displaying the various states of various items by different colors; tech item and state can be represented independent for alerting the users. In the display panel, the set data is represented by a first color; when the data is changed at an initial state, a second color different from the first color is used to display the data; and wherein the processing and display unit displays the data about exercise time, exercise speed, pulses, heat consumption.

[0006] The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0007] FIG. 1 is a schematic view of the display device of a body building machine of the present invention.

[0008] FIG. 2 is a schematic view showing the operation of the present invention.

[0009] FIG. 3 is a schematic view showing the setting state of the present invention.

[0010] FIGS. 4.about.6 are schematic view showing the different stages in the display panel of the present invention.

[0011] FIG. 7 is a schematic cross sectional view showing the alert state according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0012] In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.

[0013] A display device 1 of a body-building machine according to the present invention is illustrated. Herein, the body-building machine is a running exercise machine, however this is not used to confine the scope of the present invention. The present invention includes a control portion 10 and a processing and display unit 20.

[0014] Referring to FIG. 1, a control portion 10 has as plurality of buttons for controlling the setting of the processing and display unit 20, for example to set the speed, running distance and time period in running.

[0015] The processing and display unit 20 has a display panel 21 which can display objects by various colors, such as a liquid crystal display. The processing and display unit 20 serves to display various information, such as running time period, distance, pulses of the runner, heat consumption of the runner, etc. The display panel 21 displays the various states of various items by different colors. Each item and state can be represented independent for alerting the users.

[0016] Referring to FIGS. 2 to 7, initially, the control portion 10 is actuated for starting the processing and display unit 20. See FIG. 2, the display panel 21 will display various quantized items and reset values of these items.

[0017] Next, the exercising objects and the related messages of the quantized items are set through the control portion 10. In this embodiment, the heart rate control (or pulse) is used as the object to be controlled. Referring to FIG. 3, the display panel 21 displays a first color. Referring to FIG. 3, the display panel 21 displays the current state of the pulse in a main display area 211 and other quantized items are listed in a sub-display area 212.

[0018] When the exercise is started, the processing and display unit 20 calculates and records the items which are displayed by a second color, as shown in FIG. 4. The main display area 211 displays the initial messages and the sub-display area 212 displays the other quantized items at current time. In this embodiment, we assume the threshold of the pulse is 72. It represents that when the pulse of the runner is over 72, the color of the display panel 21 will be changed for alerting the runner so that the runner can know his (or her) body state.

[0019] Referring to FIG. 5, as illustrated in the main display area 211, when the pulse is 102, the display panel 21 will display the pulse by a third color and the sub-display area 212 will display a next threshold of 107.

[0020] In similar process, when the sub-display area 212 displays a threshold of 129, and the pulse in the main display area 211 is also 129, the main display area 211 will present with a fourth color so as to alert the runner to retain the exercise at this speed which is an effective exercise.

[0021] Referring to FIG. 7, when the sub-display area 212 displays a threshold of 149 and then pulse in the main display area 211 achieves this values, the main display area 211 displays with a very clear color or strong color, such as red color or green color which is different from above first to fourth color and can be identified by runner easily so as to alert the amount of exercise is sufficient and it is necessary to reduce the extent of the exercise so as to reduce the pulse rate.

[0022] Thus, in the present invention, the runner can select exercise objects by using the control portion 10 and the exercise states which may be default values or set by users can be displayed by different colors so as to inform the user the state in exercise. Thereby the exercise is effective and proper. Thereby no noisy sound is emitted to interfere the users.

[0023] The present invention is thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
