BACKGROUND ART
[0002] Generally, in methods of removing vermin (ticks, ants) from
household bedclothes, there are methods in which vermicide is
directly sprayed to kill vermin and repellent is used to prevent
vermin from approaching. However, in the case of using the
vermicide, the vermicide may be harmful to users. In the case of
using the repellent, because the repellent does not function to
catch vermin, there is a problem in that the vermin continue to
exist somewhere nearby while increasing the population.
[0003] Meanwhile, to remove vermin from household bedclothes, a bed
sheet made of silver threads may be used, but there is difficulty
in washing it, and, due to a high price thereof, it is seldom used
in general households. As well, in this bed sheet, there is a
difficulty in maintenance, and it does not have functions of
removing dust from a bed and preventing dust from dispersing when
the user uses the bed.
[0004] Therefore, an anti-vermin technique, which can be easily
attached to the bedclothes to catch or prevent parasitic vermin on
the bedclothes from being brought into contact with a user, and, as

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
[0012] Hereinafter, the construction and operation of the present
invention will be described in detail with reference to the
attached drawings.
[0013] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a disposable
anti-vermin sheet 1, according to a first embodiment of the present
invention. FIGS. 2 and 3 are perspective views showing anti-vermin
sheets 1, according to second and third embodiments of the present
invention. The first through third embodiments will be explained
together herein below.
[0014] As shown in FIG. 1, the anti-vermin sheet 1 includes a base
sheet 2, an antibacterial layer 3 and an adhesive layer 4 which are
applied to a rear surface of the base sheet 1, and a releasable
sheet 5. Perforated lines 6 are formed in the anti-vermin sheet 1.
FIG. 1 shows both the anti-vermin sheet 1 and bedclothes 9.
[0015] The base sheet 2 of the anti-vermin sheet 1 may be treated
through a printing process, a gold or silver plating process, an
embossing process or a dyeing process. Alternatively, the base
sheet 2 may be processed by anion or far-infrared ray treatment.
The base sheet 2 may be made of a natural fiber, chemical fiber, a
mixture of them, leather, pulp or various kinds of resin.
[0016] Furthermore, in consideration of frequent contact with the
skin of a user, the base sheet 2 is preferably made of a superfine
fiber, rayon or cotton yarns. As well, the base sheet 2 may be made
of paper. In the case of resin as the above-mentioned material of
the base sheet 2, an antibacterial agent may be added thereto
before the base sheet 2 is formed and marketed.
[0017] In addition, the base sheet 2 may be dyed various colors
according to the individual taste of the user, thus giving the user
a sense of security and setting the user's mind at ease.
[0018] The lower surface of the base sheet 2 is coated with an
antibacterial layer 3. As well, the antibacterial layer 3 may
contain an insect repellent, an aromatic agent and an antistatic
agent.
[0019] The adhesive layer 4 is made of a harmless ingredient and
has a circular pattern, a rectangular pattern, a triangular
pattern, a longitudinal stripe pattern or a lateral stripe pattern,
which is formed by a forming roller. Thus, the base sheet 2, having
various adhesive patterns on the rear surface thereof, can be
easily adhered to the bedclothes 9.
[0020] Meanwhile, in the present invention, an adhesive tape or a
button may be used as a means for fastening the base sheet 2 to the
bedclothes 9.
[0021] The releasable sheet 5 covers the antibacterial layer 3,
which is applied to the lower surface of the base sheet 2, and
prevents the adhesive layer 4 from being exposed before being used
for the bedclothes 9. Furthermore, the releasable sheet 5 is
configured such that, when it is desired to use the anti-vermin
sheet 1, the releasable sheet 5 can be easily removed from the base
sheet 2.
[0022] The number of perforated lines 6, which are spaced apart
from each other at regular intervals, may be changed depending on
the size of the bedclothes 9. According to the intended purpose,
the perforated lines 6 may be formed in longitudinal, lateral or
oblique directions. Thus, the perforated lines 6 make it possible
for the user to easily cut the anti-vermin sheet 1 along the
perforated lines 6 using his/her hands into a size and shape
suitable for the bedclothes 9.
[0023] Meanwhile, the bedclothes 9 are not limited to articles of
bedding. In other words, the anti-vermin sheet 1 may be applied to
a pillow by changing the shape and size thereof. Particularly, the
anti-vermin sheet 1 may be applied to bedclothes for hospitals,
which are easily exposed to bacilli and, in addition, can be
applied to a sofa or a chair.
[0024] To use the anti-vermin sheet 1 having the above-mentioned
structure, the user first cuts the anti-vermin sheet 1 along the
perforated lines 6, using his/her hands, into a shape and size
suitable for desired bedclothes 9. Thereafter, the releasable sheet
5, which has been attached to the rear surface of the base sheet 2,
is removed from the base sheet 2. Subsequently, the anti-vermin
sheet 1 is adhered to the bedclothes 9.
[0025] The anti-vermin sheet 1 may be used as a disposable item or,
alternatively, may be used for a long period by changing adhesive
strength of the adhesive layer 4. Furthermore, the anti-vermin
sheet 1 can be easily disposed of after being used, thus being
convenient for the user.
[0026] FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing the construction of the
anti-vermin sheet 1, according to the second embodiment of the
present invention. In the second embodiment, an air mesh sheet 7 is
used as a base sheet to provide a cool environment in the summer.
FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the construction of the
anti-vermin sheet 1, according to the third embodiment of the
present invention. In the third embodiment, an embossed sheet 8 is
used as a base sheet. In this case, because gaps are defined
between embossments of the embossed sheet 8, adhesive strength of
an adhesive surface of the base sheet may be changed depending on
the size of the embossments.
[0027] FIG. 4 is a perspective view showing the construction of the
anti-vermin sheet 1, according to the fourth embodiment of the
present invention. In the fourth embodiment, an antibacterial layer
3 is applied to an upper surface of a base sheet 2. Furthermore,
the antibacterial layer 3 may contain an insect repellent, an
aromatic agent and an antistatic agent. Therefore, in this case,
when the user uses bedclothes 9, the effects of the present
invention are directly applied to the user.
[0028] As well, this structure, in which the upper surface of the
base sheet 2 is coated with the antibacterial layer 3 or with the
layer containing the insect repellent, the aromatic agent and the
antistatic agent, may be applied to the air mesh sheet 7 or the
embossed sheet 8.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
[0029] As described above, the present invention provides a
disposable anti-vermin sheet which is easily attached to bedclothes
and is able to catch or prevent parasitic vermin on the bedclothes
from being brought into contact with a user, and, as well, can
remove dust from the bedclothes and prevent dust from dispersing
when the user uses the bedclothes, thus protecting the skin of the
user, minimizing irritation of the respiratory organs, and helping
the user have a good sleep.
