Abstract
A cover for straps or handles of a backpack, knap sack, bag,
satchel, pouch, computer bag, duffel bag, guitar bag, briefcase,
suitcase, sports bag, tote bag, cooler bag, fanny pack, travel bag,
carrying bag, sling bag, day pack, or any type of carrying device
with any type and any number of straps or handles. Cover is
generally tubular is shape and can be of many colors and designs.
Cover can be made in many thicknesses and sizes and of many
flexible materials. Cover is generally elongated and tubular in
shape with both ends of the tube open wherein said body may taper
at its opposite ends. Cover fits over handles or straps of a back
pack, knap sack, bag, satchel, pouch, computer bag, duffel bag,
guitar bag, briefcase, suitcase, sports bag, tote bag, cooler bag,
fanny pack, travel bag, carrying bag, sling bag, day pack, or any
type of carrying device with any type and any number of straps or
handles.

Claims
1. A cover for a length of strap or handle such as used on a
backpack, knap sack, bag, satchel, pouch, computer bag, duffel bag,
guitar bag, briefcase, suitcase, sports bag, tote bag, cooler bag,
fanny pack, travel bag, carrying bag, sling bag, day pack, or any
type of carrying device with any type and any number of straps or
handles. comprising an elongate body, wherein said body may tapes
at its opposite ends and having a length corresponding or greater
than a selected length of said strap, said body being formed of a
flexible material and having a cavity extending longitudinally
there through for the accommodation of said length of strap or
handle.
2. A cover for a length of strap or handle such as an used on a
backpack, knap sack, bag, satchel, pouch, computer bag, duffel bag,
guitar bag, briefcase, suitcase, sports bag, tote bag, cooler bag,
fanny pack, travel bag, carrying bag, sling bag, day pack, or any
type of carrying device with any type and any number of straps or
handles comprising an elongate body having a length corresponding
to a selected length of said strap, said body being formed of a
flexible material and having a cavity extending longitudinally
there through for the accommodation of said length of strap, and an
access opening formed in said body in communication with said
cavity and extending the full length of said body.
3. A cover for a length of strap such as an used on a backpack,
knap sack, bag, satchel, pouch, computer bag, duffel bag, guitar
bag, briefcase, suitcase, sports bag, tote bag, cooler bag, fanny
pack, travel bag, carrying bag, sling bag, day pack, or any type of
carrying device with any type and any number of straps or handles
generally tubular with both ends open to facilitate the ability of
the straps or handles it is placed over to connect to the body of
the backpack, knap sack, bag, satchel, pouch, computer bag, duffel
bag, guitar bag, briefcase, suitcase, sports bag, tote bag, cooler
bag, fanny pack, travel bag, carrying bag, sling bag, day pack, or
any type of carrying device, with the flexibility of the cover
enabling the cover to conform closely and easily to the contours of
the strap or handles it is placed on.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] A backpack, knap sack, bag, satchel, pouch, computer bag,
duffel bag, guitar bag, briefcase, suitcase, sports bag, tote bag,
cooler bag, fanny pack, travel bag, carrying bag, sling bag, day
pack, or any type of carrying devices have long been used to carry
books, school supplies, camping gear, clothing, computers, sporting
goods and any number of items. This embodiment is used as an
accessory or an addition to a backpack, knap sack, bag, satchel,
pouch, computer bag, duffel bag, guitar bag, briefcase, suitcase,
sports bag, tote bag, cooler bag, fanny pack, travel bag, carrying
bag, sling bag, day pack, or any type of carrying device.
[0003] The present embodiment adds texture, color, design and
comfort to the straps of a backpack, knap sack, bag, satchel,
pouch, computer bag, duffel bag, guitar bag, briefcase, suitcase,
sports bag, tote bag, cooler bag, fanny pack, travel bag, carrying
bag, sling bag, day pack, or any type of carrying device and in
addition adds a cushion to the strap which can make the carrying of
said items more comfortable

[0005] Flexible, elongated tubular objects have been used to
cushion seatbelts in a motor vehicle. Flexible, elongated tubular
objects have also been used as leg warmers on human legs as fashion
accessories and to keep the legs warm. Flexible, elongated tubular
objects have been also been used to cover shopping cart
handles.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006] A flexible strap cover constructed in accordance with the
preferred embodiment of the invention comprises an elongate body
formed of flexible material within which is a cavity for the
accommodation of a length of strap as used in back packs, knap
sacks, bags or satchels

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0011] A preferred embodiment of the invention is disclosed in the
following description and the accompanying drawings, wherein:

[0013] 102A--Example of part one of a back pack strap, on which the
present embodiment may be used.

present embodiment may be used.

which the present embodiment may be installed on the straps or
handles.
[0016] 104--Cavity of the present embodiment to receive the strap
or handle through which the strap or handle extends out through the
opposite cavity end of said strap or handle.
[0017] 105--Example of one of the types or means such an Annular
elastic band that may be optionally used at each end of the present
embodiment to assist in holding the present embodiment to an item
such as a back pack.
The Preferred Embodiment
[0018] A cover constructed in accordance with the preferred
embodiment of the invention comprises an elongate body (101 )formed
of a flexible material and is of such length as to accommodate a
selected strap (102A, 102B)on handle length of backpacks (103),
knap sacks, bags or satchels.
[0019] Extending longitudinally of and completely through the body
of the present embodiment is a cavity (104) having a width and
height of such dimensions as to enable the cavity (104) snugly to
accommodate the strap(102A, 102B) or handle of a backpack (103),
knap sack, bag or satchel.
[0020] At each end of the present embodiment is an opening (104)
wide enough to facilitate the straps (102A, 102B) or handles it is
placed upon.
[0021] When applying the present embodiment to a strap (102A, 102B)
or handle, the present embodiment should be placed on the strap
(102A, 102B) or handle by unfastening the ends of the strap or
handle (102A, 102B) from each other and sliding the present
embodiment cover over the strap (102A, 102B) or handle and then
re-attaching the strap (102A, 102B) to each other.
[0022] The disclosed embodiment is representative of a presently
preferred form of the invention, but is intended to be illustrative
rather than definitive thereof. The invention is defined in the
claims.
