COMBINATION STORAGE RACK ASSEMBLY

Abstract

A combination storage rack assembly is disclosed to include multiple pairs of main frame bars, each main frame bar having a curved top portion, the curved top portions of the two main frame bars of one same pair being fastened together to provide a fork, racks respectively connected between the two main frame bars of each pair of main frame bars in horizontal at different elevations, a plurality of crossbars connected between the main frame bars of the pairs of main frame bars at different elevations, and a hanging bar supported on the forks formed of the curved top portions of the main frame bars for hanging a wardrobe or the like.

Claims



1. A combination storage rack assembly comprising: multiple pairs of main frame bars, said main frame bars each having a curved top portion, the curved top portions of the two main frame bars of one same pair being fastened together to provide a fork; a plurality of racks respectively connected between the main frame bars of said pairs of main frame bars in horizontal at different elevations; a plurality of crossbars connected between the main frame bars of said pairs of main frame bars at different elevations; and a hanging bar supported on the forks formed of the curved top portions of said main frame bars.

2. The combination storage rack assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein, the curved top portions of said main frame bars each have a coupling notch at a bottom side thereof, and the coupling notches of the two main frame bars of one same pair are coupled to each other.

3. The combination storage rack assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the curved top portions of the two main frame bars of one same pair have a bottom side fastened to each other with a fastener.

4. The combination storage rack assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein said racks and said crossbars are respectively fastened to said main frame bars with wooden screws.

5. The combination storage rack assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein main frame bars each have a horizontal bottom lug for supporting one of said racks.
Description



BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] (a) Technical Field of the Invention

[0002] The present invention relates to storage racks and more particularly, to a combination storage rack assembly.

[0003] (b) Description of the Prior Art

[0004] In city, the limited home space does not allow for installation of many cabinets or wardrobes for keeping thins. Therefore, mini wardrobes are created to satisfy the demands. Regular mini wardrobes are made of canvass and mounted with plate members to provide multiple compartments for keeping things. A mini wardrobe may be provided with a hanging hole or hanger at the top side for hanging on a hanging bar or chinning bar. Tapes of hook and loop materials may be used to secure a mini wardrobe to a hanging bar.

[0005] Further, conventional cabinets, storage racks, and wardrobes are not detachable. After installation of a conventional cabinet, storage rack, or wardrobe, the user cannot freely detach the cabinet, storage rack, or wardrobe for installation in another place. For high mobility, a plastic or simple portable design shall be used. However, a plastic or simple portable cabinet storage rack, or wardrobe has the drawbacks of being not strong, low durability, and poor outer looking.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] The primary purpose of the present invention is to provide a combination storage rack assembly, which a simple structure that can easily be assembled by the user. It is another object of the present invention to provide a combination storage rack assembly, which is highly detachable. It is still another object of the present invention to provide a combination storage rack assembly, which has a nice outer looking, and is durable in use.

[0007] According to one aspect of the present invention, the combination storage rack assembly comprises multiple pairs of main frame bars, a plurality of racks, a plurality of crossbars, and a hanging bar. The main frame bars each have a curved top portion. The curved top portions of the two main frame bars of one same pair are fastened together to provide a fork. The racks are respectively connected between the main frame bars of the pairs of main frame bars in horizontal at different elevations. The crossbars are connected between the main frame bars of the pairs of main frame bars at different elevations. The hanging bar is supported on the forks formed of the curved top portions of the main frame bars.

[0008] According to another aspect of the present invention, wheels may be provided at the bottom sides of the main frame bars to facilitate movement of the combination storage rack assembly. Alternatively, foot members may be provided at the bottom sides of the main frame bars for supporting the combination storage rack assembly on the floor firmly.

[0009] According to still another aspect of the present invention, the curved top portions of the main frame bars each have a coupling notch at the bottom side, and the coupling notches of the two main frame bars of one same pair are coupled to each other.

[0010] In an alternate form of the present invention, the curved top portions of the two main frame bars of one same pair have are fastened together with a fastener.

[0011] According to still another aspect of the present invention, the racks and the crossbars are respectively fastened to the main frame bars with wooden screws.

[0012] According to still another aspect of the present invention, the main frame bars each have a horizontal bottom lug for supporting one of the racks.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0020] The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.

[0021] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a combination storage rack assembly in accordance with the first embodiment of the present invention is shown comprised of main frame bars 1A and 1B, a plurality of crossbars 2, a plurality of racks 3, and a hanging bar 4. The main frame bars 1A and 1B are narrow elongated flat bars preferably made of wood, each having an upper part smoothly arched. The main frame bars 1A and 1B are shape formed through a heating and compression process. Further, the main frame bars 1A and 1B are arranged in pairs, each having a coupling notch 11 near the top, a reinforcing block 12 disposed adjacent to the coupling notch 11, a horizontal lug 14 at the bottom end, and a plurality of mounting through holes 13 disposed at different elevations between the coupling notch 11 and the horizontal lug 14. The two main frame bars 1A and 1B of one same pair have the respective top ends connected to each other and the respective bottom ends kept apart at a distance. The coupling notches 11 of the two main frame bars 1A and 1B of one same pair are coupled to each other. After coupling between the coupling notches 11 of the two main frame bars 1A and 1B of each pair of main frame bars, the top ends of the two main frame bars 1A and 1B of each pair of main frame bars extend across each other, showing a forked configuration for supporting the hanging bar 4 in horizontal for hanging a hanging wardrobe 5 (see FIG. 2), clothes, or other things. Further, the reinforcing blocks 12 reinforce the structural strength of the respective main frame bars 1A and 1B, preventing breaking of the respective main frame bars 1A and 1B through the respective coupling notches 11.

[0022] A wheel holder 16 is respectively installed in the bottom side of the horizontal lug 14 of each of the main frame bars 1A and 1B to hold a respective roller 17. Foot members may be used as substitutes for the wheel holders 16 and the rollers 17 for supporting the combination storage rack assembly firmly on the floor.

[0023] The racks 3 according to this embodiment are flat plate member comprised of a bamboo woven structure and a rectangular frame holding the bamboo woven structure for holding things. The racks 3 are horizontally supported between the main frame bars 1A and 1B at different elevations and affixed to the mounting through holes 13 of the main frame bars 1A and 1B with wooden screws 15.

[0024] The crossbars 2 are made of wood or bamboo and selectively connected between the main frame bars 1A and 1B at different elevations and affixed to the mounting through holes 13 of the main frame bars 1A and 1B with wooden screws 15.

[0025] FIGS. 3 and 4 show a combination storage rack assembly in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention. This second embodiment is substantially similar to the aforesaid first embodiment with the exception that the main frame bars 1A and 1B each have a curved top portion 18. When the two main flame bars 1A and 1B of one same pair are attached together, the two curved top portions 18 are fixedly fastened together with a screw bolt 19 and a locknut 191. Further, the racks 3 according to this second embodiment are formed of wooden slats. Further, this second embodiment eliminates the aforesaid wheel holders 16 and the rollers 17, and made for positioning on the floor firmly in place. A mini wardrobe 5 can be hung on one crossbar 2 of the combination storage rack assembly.

[0026] FIG. 5 shows a combination rack assembly in accordance with a third embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment is substantially similar to the aforesaid second embodiment with the exception that this third embodiment uses a less number of main flame bars 1A and 1B, crossbars 2, and racks 3.

[0027] A prototype of combination storage rack assembly has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1.about.5. The combination storage rack assembly functions smoothly to provide all of the features disclosed earlier.

[0028] Although particular embodiment of the invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.
