Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0001] 1. Field of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to a bag, and more
particularly, to a bag equipped with a safely guarded carrying belt
which can be easily fastened and conveniently eradicated.
[0003] 2. Description of the Prior Art
[0004] As shown in FIG. 1, a conventional haversack 1 is equipped
with a carrying belt 11 attached to its upper portion with its both
ends fastened to the haversack 1. One end of the carrying belt 11
has a metal hook 12 to be clamped with a metal ring 13 provided on
the haversack 1, and an adjuster 14 is provided for the carrying
belt 11 to adjust the length thereof.
[0005] The conventional haversack 1 which has the carrying belt 11
to hook on the metal ring 13 with its metal hook 12 is indeed
convenient to handle as its carrying belt 11 is easy to detach and
put aside such that the haversack 1 is immediately changed into a
handbag. However, the metal hook 12 and ring 13 are precious and
rusty that not only increases the haversack cost, but also affects
its appearance with the rusty metal parts. Besides, using the metal
hook 12 and metal ring 13 to adjust the length of the carrying belt
11 can not be done in a short time.
[0006] In order to rectify these noticeable defects on the prior
art, the inventor has dedicated great efforts for years to studying
and improving these defects and finally come up with the present
invention.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] Accordingly, it is the main object of the present invention
to provide a haversack with safety guard having an insertion slot
formed at each of the two sides thereof, and the opening of the
insertion slot is provided at the bottom end thereof. A carrying
belt is attached to the upper portion of the haversack with a hard
insertion tip provided at the end thereof facing to the insertion
slot such that the insertion tip can be folded back and inserted
into the insertion slot thereby engaging the carrying belt with the
haversack. The length of the carrying belt is adjusted by varying
the length of the insertion tip to be inserted. The adjustment is
so easy without the need of the extra adjusting device resulting
greatly saving the production cost of the haversack.
[0008] It is another object of the present invention to provide a
haversack with safety guard with several transverse saddles
provided on the outer surface of the insertion slot. The saddles
are not wholly sewn to the surface of the insertion slot but left a
central tunnel so as to let through the insertion tip and then turn
around and tuck into the insertion slot thereby resulting in snap
but reliable and secure engagement between the carrying belt and
the haversack without the fear of loosening.
[0009] It is still another object of the present invention to
provide a haversack with safety guard having a soft rope connected
to the end of the insertion tip such that when the insertion tip
enters the insertion slot, part of the rope goes into the insertion
slot along with the insertion tip but rest of the rope remains
outside. This facilitates separation of the carrying belt from the
haversack by pulling the rope outside.
[0010] It is one more object of the present invention to provide a
haversack with safety guard to have a multiple usage serving as a
haversack, handbag, rucksack, girdle or the like.
[0011] It is still one more object of the present invention to
provide a haversack with safety guard when it is used as a girdle,
it can be taken off from the user's body easily without releasing
the carrying belt.
[0012] The above objects and other advantages of the present
invention will become more apparent by describing in detail the
preferred embodiments of the present invention with reference to
the attached drawings below.

the present invention is used as a girdle;
[0017] FIG. 5 is the sectional view of FIG. 4;
[0018] FIG. 6 is an assembly view of the haversack of the present
invention hung around the waist.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0019] Referring to FIG. 2, the haversack 2 made of cloth or nylon,
has a carrying belt fastened to the upper portion thereof. The
insertion tip 32 at the end of the carrying belt 3 is folded back
and tucked into insertion slot 22. The longer the inserted portion
is, the shorter the carrying portion is. By so the haversack of the
present invention can do without the adjusting device as that is
necessary for the conventional one, and can be promptly adjusted to
a proper length to carry.
[0020] Referring to FIG. 3, the haversack 2 has a pad 21 sewn to
one side of its upper portion forming a downwardly opened insertion
slot 22 between the pad 21 and the main body of the haversack 2.
Several separated saddles 41, 42 and 43 are sewn to the surface of
the pad 21 up and down in order. The saddles 41, 42 and 43 are sewn
to the haversack 2 at two sides leaving central through tunnels
411, 421 and 431. One of the three i.e. saddle 43 is located at the
right upper position of the opening of the insertion slot 22.
[0021] The carrying belt 3 is attached to the top edge of the
haversack 2 with its one end, while the other free end 31, an
insertion tip 32 is strengthened with an inner hard board 33 so as
to ensure its hardness. A rope 34 is connected to the outer end of
the insertion tip 32.
[0022] When assembling, as shown in FIG. 3, the insertion tip 32 is
tucked into the insertion slot 22 with a length at least passing
through the saddle 43 located right above the opening of the
insertion slot 22, and then folding back to tuck into the insertion
slot 22 from its opening, then by pulling up the carrying belt 3 at
its upper end such that the saddle 43 and the opening of the
insertion slot 22 is superposed with each other thereby firmly
pressing the insertion tip 32 intercalated therebetween to fix it
at position. The tightness of fixing the insertion tip 32 at
position is proportional to the load of the haversack 2, the
heavier the haversack 2 is, the tighter the insertion tip 32 is
securely held without the worry of liberation. In case the carrying
belt 3 is to be detached and put aside, the only thing to do is to
pull the rope 34 exposed outside so as to pull out the insertion
tip 32 with the rope 34.
[0023] Referring to FIG. 4, the haversack 2 of the present
invention can be used to serve as a girdle 5, the cover 51 thereof
can be engaged to the haversack body by clamping or felting.
[0024] Referring to FIG. 5, the girdle 5 has a pad 52 attached to
the back surface thereof thus forming an insertion slot 53 with a
downwardly faced opening between the pad 52 and the girdle 5.
Saddles 61, 62 and 63 are sewn to the surface of the pad 52 up to
down in order keeping a separation each other. The saddles 61, 62
and 63 are attached to the girdle 5 in such a manner that they are
sewn in the two sides and on the middle so that each of them leaves
two tunnels between the pad 52, the saddle 63, which is one of the
three is just occupied at the position right above the opening of
the insertion slot 53.
[0025] As shown in FIG. 5, at the upper rear surface of the girdle
5 in a position aligning to the tunnels of the saddles 61, 62, 63,
there are provided hangers 7, 8 each of them forming an insertion
tip 71(81) at its terminal and each of them is provided with a hard
board 72(82) so as to ensure a predetermined hardness, and a rope
73(83) is connected to each of the insertion tips 71(81) at the
outer end thereof.
[0026] When assembling, the insertion tips 71 and 81 of the hangers
7 and 8 are tucked into the insertion slot 53 with a length at
least passing through the saddle 63 located right above the opening
of the insertion slot 53, and then the insertion tips 71, 81 are
folded back and tucked into the insertion slot 53 from its opening,
then the saddle 63 and the opening of the insertion slot 52 are
superposed by pulling up the upper ends of the hangers 7, 8. Such
that the insertion tips 71, 81 are tightly confined in the
insertion slot 53. Similarly, tightness of the insertion tips 71,
81 is proportional to the load weight of girdle 5. The heavier the
girdle 5 is, the tighter and safer the insertion tips 71, 81 will
be without the worry of loosening. In case the hangers 7, 8 are to
be taken off and put aside, the only thing to do is to pull the
ropes 73, 83 emerging outside so as to pull out the insertion tips
71, 81 together with the ropes 73, 83 thereby attaining the effect
of rapid assembling and detaching.
[0027] Referring to FIG. 6, when the present invention is used as a
girdle 5, the hanger 7, 8 are hanged on the user's loin band 9 by
passing the insertion tips 71, 81 through the saddle 63 and then
cambered to tuck into the insertion slot so as to rapidly equip the
girdle 5 on the user's waist. In case the girdle 5 is to be taken
off, the only thing to do is to pull the ropes 73 and 83. It is
really convenient and easy to use the haversack of the present
invention.
[0028] Although the present invention has been described in terms
of the presently preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that
such disclosure is not to be interpreted as limiting. Various
alternations and modifications will no doubt become apparent to
those skilled in the art after reading the above disclosure.
Accordingly, it is intended that the appended claims be interpreted
