Description
[0001] The present invention consists of an Equipment that provides
the user a dual ergometric cycle for exercise practice, simulating
exercises of an ascending stairs for the inferior members (legs)
and rotational exercises for superior members (arms), that can be
made joint or separately, providing great results due to the
concentration of physical efforts by the fact of being the user in
an upright position while exercising.
[0002] There are countless ergometric equipments for aerobic
exercises, muscle building, walking simulation and several others,
however in all the researched and analyzed equipments, we did not
knowledge any that keeps the characteristics of the present
invention that, besides unifying the practice of rotational
exercises for inferior and superior members, makes it a way the
user exercises in an aerial position, in other words, standing up
on devices that will provide rotational exercises for the inferior
members, and be able to exercise the superior members (arms)
simultaneously.
[0003] The existing exercises practice equipments that links
inferior and superior members have the inconvenience of being of
complex use, besides a high acquisition price due to importation
cots or complexity connecting countless equipments in a single
apparatus, discouraging the user for the complexity and repetition
of the exercises provided by these mentioned marketed
equipments.
[0004] Another great inconveniency of these ergometric equipments
for exercises in upright position is that they just simulate
walking by the use of rotating mats or, equipments that allow up
and down leg movements in a repetitive way simulating a walking
pattern.
[0005] Considering such difficulties and inconveniences and with
the purpose of solving them it was developed the present claim of
invention, the "EQUIPMENT FOR ERGOMETRIC BODY EXERCISES IN AERIAL
POSITION" that congregates in a single unit the possibility to the
user make in aerial position and in proper rhythm for his physical
capacity, exercise joint or separately the inferior and superior
members in way to propitiate synchronized movements, as much of the
inferior as the superior members, still allowing the user to set a
working tension that better adapts to his physical condition and
effort capacity, finding manually his best rhythm, by adjusting the
tension of the mechanism, differently of electric equipments that
usually dictate the rhythm of the exercise.
[0006] The ergometric simultaneous exercises for inferior and
superior members contributes significantly for physical weight loss
exercises as well for treatment of physical incapacities, once it
allows the user to adapt the synchronized movements and also
allowing connected or disconnected exercises of the members
according to the user's need, and inclusive propitiating a great
number of joint or separated exercises, as much for the legs as for
the arms, joint or separately, and it will still be possible for
the user, make exercises to strength the back or front of his arms,
abdomen, the front and back of the legs among others.
[0007] This equipment makes possible to exercise in a vigorous way
all the muscles of the trunk, back and front, without overloading
any group of muscles, as in body building, is also superior to
swimming, once with this equipment the user can interchange
transferring the efforts for inferior or superior members, which is
not possible in swimming, but the same way of swimming this
equipment does not cause impacts on the muscles and tendons as in
racing, which does not work the muscles, hence this equipment
besides innovating the practice of exercise still propitiates them
without causing any impacts, invigorating the muscles.
[0008] The enclosed illustrations clearly show in details for the
assembly of the present Invention, where:
[0009] FIG. 1--displays the lateral view of the assembled
Equipment.
[0010] FIG. 2--displays the lateral view the Chassis of the
disassembled Equipment, in other words, the assembly structure.
[0011] Illustration 3--displays the lateral view of the Equipment
internal action mechanisms properly assembled.
[0012] FIG. 4--displays the back view of the assembled
Equipment.
[0013] FIG. 5--displays the front view perspective of the
Equipment.
[0014] FIG. 6--displays in perspective the exploded view of all the
Equipment parts and components.
[0015] In accordance with the exposed in the illustrations, we have
that this Equipment is assembled up on a reinforced metallic
Chassis (01) with a vertical Compartment (02), a horizontal
Compartment (03), sustentation Platforms (1-A) locomotion Wheels
(18) besides the fixation Support (04).
[0016] This way, occurs the assembly in the upper part of the
vertical Compartment (02) of a superior "V" channel Pulley (05)
through a steel Axle (15) fixed in ball bearings (14) assembled on
the tips of the steel axles (15) is made the fixation of the Crank
with handles (12) through threaded nuts; the same way occurs the
fixation in the inferior part of the Compartment (02) of a three
channels "V" Pulley (07) also through an steel Axle (15) on ball
bearings (14); in the horizontal Compartment (03) occurs this same
way, the assembly of a inferior one channel "V" Pulley (06) obeying
the same assembling principles in which is inserted the assembly of
the Cranks with pedals (13) fastened with nuts on the tips of the
steel Axle of (15) trespassing the ball bearings (14) and to
complete the whole assembly of the movement mechanisms unit occurs
the assembly of an inertia Wheel (08) through steel Axle (15) on
the fixation Supports (04), completing the assembly of all of the
movement mechanisms of the present invention; this inertia Wheel
(08) has on one of its lateral one incorporated "V" Pulley (10)
forming with it a single piece.
[0017] To link a device to another this Equipment uses automotive
Belts, differently of others Known exercising equipments that
usually use chains and crowns or driving ratchets, assembling the
anterior automotive Belt (11) linking the inferior one channel
Pulley (06) to the three channels Pulley (07) through the posterior
opening (23), in a way that this three channels Pulley (07) will be
linked to the "V" Pulley (10) through a posterior automotive Belt
(20) that will pass through the posterior Opening (24) and for last
occurs the assembly of a superior automotive Belt (19) in way to
link the three channels Pulley (07) to the superior Pulley (05)
completing the linkage of all movement and circulation
mechanisms.
[0018] To make possible the adjustment and the control of the
working tension, this Equipment has an assemblage composed by a
tension Shoe (09) interlinked in the lateral of the Chassis (01)
and disposed over the inertia Wheel (08) in way to fit on it,
leaving the tension shoe pad in contact (17), in a way this Shoe
(09) connected by a Cable, or similar, calibrator (26) to the
action mechanism (25), making possible to the user with the
easiness of a simple turn of this mechanism (25) have a bigger or
smaller tension of the rotation inertia Wheel (08).
[0019] The whole internal part of this Equipment is protected by
lateral Covers (16) and (21), and the horizontal Compartment (03)
has a inferior lateral Cover (21) with central support (27) for
fixation and adjustment of the ball bearings (14) and in the same
way the vertical Compartment (02) with a superior lateral Cover
(16) with inferior and superior supports (27) for fixation and
adjustment of the ball bearings (14), and on the body of the
vertical Compartment (02) and on the superior lateral Cover (16)
there will be fixed a set of auxiliary handles (22) with the
purpose of additional support for the hands of the user when only
exercising the inferior members through the Cranks with pedals (13)
when convenient.
[0020] This way the user can position himself with one foot on each
of the pedals, on the Cranks (13), lean his hands on the handles of
the cranks (12) and begin his movements in a way the circular
movement provided by the user's legs in the Cranks (13) will rotate
the inferior Pulley (06) transferring rotation to the anterior
automotive Belt (11) to the three channels Pulley (07), that will
provide rotation to the inertia Wheel (08) through the posterior
automotive Belt (20) connected to the "V" Pulley (10) that will
also rotate the superior Pulley (05) through the superior
automotive Belt (19) automatically rotating the cranks with handles
(12). Being the user with the hands on the handles (12) and making
circular movements the movements of the superior members will have
the purpose to force them to exercise to aid the movements of the
legs as well for their relaxation, once it will be possible to
leave all the efforts for the legs, in other words, for the
inferior members, besides that the user can rest the arms entirely
(superior members) leaning his hands on the auxiliary handles (22)
exercising only the legs.
[0021] This Equipment makes possible this way several modalities of
exercises, if the main objective is the practice of rotational
exercises for the inferior members standing up on the pedals (13)
and rotational exercises for the superior members through the
Cranks with handles (12) and even exercises only for the legs and
standing up, or exercises for the arms only, joint or separately,
once the user can stand up in front of the Equipment and exercise
just with the Handles (12), joint or separately, moving forward or
backwards, with one or both arms, once the movement devices are all
connected through the automotive Belts (11-19-20) linking Pulleys
(05-06-07-10) supplying rotation to the inertia Wheel (08) that
when in movement makes possible a stable rotation allowing the user
not to lose rhythm and be able, at his will, adjustment of the
level of the tension shoe (17) against the inertia Wheel (08)
providing a slippery attrition that can elevate the load degree and
the necessary effort for the exercise according to the individual
limits.
[0022] Great innovation also brought by this Equipment object of
the present invention is that besides the possibility to practice
exercises of this nature standing up, the arrangement of the
vertical Compartment (02) with an angular inclination between
95.degree. and 110.degree., being the optimal gain obtained between
100.degree. and 105.degree., as well as the deviation of the
horizontal compartment (03) that can be moved backwards from 40 to
60 cm of the central point of the three channels Pulley (07),
providing to the user a comfortable position to exercise and still
making possible postural correction during the exercises, once the
user is standing up and being compelled to lean on the handles (12
or 22) forcing to position his body in an erect position during the
exercise for just the inferior members as well for the superior
members or jointly, due to the forward inclination of the vertical
compartment (02) and retrocession of the horizontal compartment
(03).
