Abstract

A chair with a controllable wheel assembly comprises a chair body having a bottom plate; the chair body being formed with a plurality of openings; a plurality of buckling seats having an approximate U shape with two post; each post of the buckling seat being installed with a guide groove; a side of the buckling seat being formed with a plurality of hooks; between each buckling seat and the bottom plate being formed with a through hole; a plurality of wheel sets being included; and two sides of the movable block having respective sliding grooves; each sliding groove having a plurality of notches for receiving the hooks of the buckling seat so that the movable block is movably combined to the chair body; and thus the movable block is slideable along the guide groove.

Claims



1. A chair with a controllable wheel assembly, comprising: a chair body having a bottom plate; the chair body being formed with a plurality of openings; a plurality of buckling seats having an approximate U shape with two post; each post of the buckling seat being installed with a guide groove; a side of the buckling seat being formed with a plurality of hooks; between each buckling seat and the bottom plate being formed with a through hole; a plurality of wheel sets being included; each wheel set having a corresponding buckling seat; each wheel set having an elastic element and a wheel body; the elastic element having a U shape; one end of the elastic element being connected to the wheel body and another end thereof passing through a corresponding through hole so that the elastic element is connected to the chair body; and two sides of the movable block having respective sliding grooves; each sliding groove having a plurality of notches for receiving the hooks of the buckling seat so that the movable block is movably combined to the chair body; thus the movable block is slideable along the guide groove; a stop block being installed at a lower side of the movable block; a rear side of the movable block having a push button; the push button being received in one of the opening of the chair body.

2. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein a bottom of each through hole has at least one recess.

3. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the elastic element has a U shape.

4. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 3, wherein the elastic element has at least one protrusion; when the elastic element passes through the through hole, the two protrusions are received in the recesses.

5. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 3, wherein the end of the elastic element is screwed to the wheel body.

6. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein the movable block has a U shape and each side of the movable block has one of the two sliding grooves; and a lower side is protruded with the stop block.

7. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 6, wherein the push button is installed with at least on rib and an edge of the opening is formed with at least one trench; when the rib is buckled in the trench, the push button is damped and is positioned in the opening.

The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein pushing the push button toward an interior of the opening, the rib is buckled to the trench of the opening so that the movement of the movable block is damped and positioned to a predetermined position so as to control the movement of the wheel set.

9. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 1, wherein when the top seat is below the bottom seat, the top seat is formed with a receiving space for receiving other objects.

10. The chair with a controllable wheel assembly as claimed in claim 9, wherein the chair body has a round tapered shape or polygonal shape.
Description



FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to chairs, and particularly to a chair with a controllable wheel assembly, wherein the sliding of the chair is controllable. When a user sits upon the chair, the chair can be retained in static state. When it is desired to move the chair, the wheel set can be controlled to be movable. If the user treads upon the chair, the chair is adjusted to be unmovable.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Most of current chairs are not installed with wheel set. When it is desired to move the chair, it is often that the chair is moved by the pushing of worker's legs. However, this will make the chair fall down, or make large noises. This is unsuitable, especially in plants, stores, or libraries.

[0003] Although many office chairs have been installed with wheel sets, it will make danger, when the user treads upon the chair for being at a higher place. The movable wheels at the lower side of chairs will possibly move to induce dangerous accidents to the workers. Thus, the wheel is installed with a brake like retaining structure. The structure is installed with a push button which is connected to a brake unit for stopping the wheels from rolling. However, the brake unit is operated by two hands. As the hands hold other object, the operation can not be performed.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a chair with a controllable wheel assembly, wherein the sliding of the chair is controllable. When a user sits upon the chair, the chair can be retained in static state. When it is desired to move the chair, the wheel set can be controlled to be movable. If the user treads upon the chair, the chair is adjusted to be unmovable.

[0005] To achieve above objects, the present invention provides a chair with a controllable wheel assembly, comprising: a chair with a controllable wheel assembly, a chair body having a bottom plate; the chair body being formed with a plurality of openings; a plurality of buckling seats having an approximate U shape with two post; each post of the buckling seat being installed with a guide groove; a side of the buckling seat being formed with a plurality of hooks; between each buckling seat and the bottom plate being formed with a through hole; a plurality of wheel sets being included; each wheel set having a corresponding buckling seat; each wheel set having an elastic element and a wheel body; the elastic element having a U shape; one end of the elastic element being connected to the wheel body and another end thereof passes through a corresponding through hole so that the elastic element is connected to the chair body; and two sides of the movable block having respective sliding grooves; each sliding groove having a plurality of notches for receiving the hooks of the buckling seat so that the movable block is movably combined to the chair body; thus the movable block is slideable along the guide groove; a stop block being installed at a lower side of the movable block; a rear side of the movable block having a push button; the push button being received in one of the opening of the chair body.

[0006] A bottom of each through hole has at least one recess. The elastic element has a U shape. The elastic element has at least one protrusion; when the elastic element passes through the through hole, the two protrusions are received in the recesses. The end of the elastic element is screwed to the wheel body. The movable block has a U shape and each side of the movable block has one of the two sliding grooves; and a lower side is protruded with the stop block.

[0007] The push button is installed with at least one rib and an edge of the opening is formed with at least one trench. When the rib is buckled in the trench, the push button is damped and is positioned in the opening. Pushing the push button toward an interior of the opening, the rib is buckled to the trench of the opening so that the movement of the movable block is damped and positioned to a predetermined position so as to control the movement of the wheel set.

[0008] When the top seat is below the bottom seat, the top seat is formed with a receiving space for receiving other objects. The chair body is a round tapered shape or polygonal shape.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0022] In order that those skilled in the art can further understand the present invention, a description will be provided in the following in details. However, these descriptions and the appended drawings are only used to cause those skilled in the art to understand the objects, features, and characteristics of the present invention, but not to be used to confine the scope and spirit of the present invention defined in the appended claims.

[0023] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 6, the roller set of a chair of the present invention is illustrated. The present invention has the following elements.

[0024] A chair body 10 has a bottom plate 101 in an interior of the chair body 10. The chair body 10 is formed with a plurality of openings 14. An edge of the opening 14 is formed with at least one trench 141. The buckling seat 11 is installed at a lower side of the bottom plate 101 and is connected to the opening 14.

[0025] A plurality of buckling seats 11 have an approximate U shape with two posts. Each post of the buckling seat 11 is installed with a guide groove 113. A side of the buckling seat 11 is formed with a plurality of hooks 111. Between each buckling seat 11 and the bottom plate 101 is formed with a through hole 12. A bottom of each through hole 12 has two recesses 121

[0026] A plurality of wheel sets 20 are included. Each wheel set 20 has a corresponding buckling seat 11. Each wheel set 20 has an elastic element 21 and a wheel body 22 (see FIG. 3). The elastic element 21 has a U shape. One end of the elastic element 21 is screwed to the wheel body 22 and another end thereof passes through a corresponding through hole 12 so that the elastic element 21 is connected to the chair body 10. The elastic element 21 has two protrusions 211, referring to FIGS. 5, 6, and 7. When the elastic element 21 passes through the through hole 12, the two protrusions 211 are received in the recesses 121 so as to have a resisting effect.

[0027] Referring to FIGS. 8A to 8C, the movable block 30 has a U shape. Two sides of the movable block 30 have respective sliding grooves 31. Each sliding groove 31 has a plurality of notches 311 for receiving the hooks 111 of the buckling seat 11 so that the movable block 30 is movably combined to the chair body 10. Thus the movable block 30 is slideable along the guide groove 113. A stop block 32 is installed at a lower side of the movable block 30. A rear side of the movable block 30 has a push button 33. The push button 33 is received in one of the opening 14 of the chair body 10. The push button 33 is installed with at least one rib 331.

[0028] Referring to FIGS. 2, 3, 9 and 10, as the rib 331 is buckled to the trench 141 (referring to FIGS. 3 and 10), when the movable block 30 is stopped between the chair body 10 and the wheel set 20 and an external force M is applied to the elastic element 21, the elastic element 21 will be stopped by the movable block 30 so that it can not deform and the wheel set 20 slides continuously. One the contrary, see FIGS. 2 and 9, when the rib 331 is pushed out of the trench 141, if it is not stopped by the movable block 30, the elastic element 21 deforms due to an external force M, and the chair body 10 will descend to the ground. Thus the stop block 32 of the movable block 30 will resist against the wheel set 20 so that the wheel set 20 cannot rotate. When the external force M is released, the chair body 10 lifts upwards. The wheel sets 20 will be in contact with the ground by the elastic resilient force of the elastic element 21. Thus the chair body 10 can move to other place by the driving of the legs of the user.

[0029] With reference to FIGS. 11 and 11A, the chair body 10 includes a bottom seat 10a and a top seat 10b. Generally, the top seat 10b is combined above the bottom seat 10a. When the top seat 10b is below the bottom seat 10a, the top seat 10b is formed with a receiving space P for receiving other objects.

[0030] Referring to FIG. 12, another embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. The chair body 10 is a round tapered shape with wheel sets 20 which has the same effect as the former embodiment. Furthermore the chair body 10 may have other shapes, such as polygonal shapes.

[0031] By above mentioned structure, the sliding of the chair is controllable. When a user sits upon the chair, the chair can be retained in static state. When it is desired to move the chair, the wheel set 20 can be controlled to be movable. If the user treads upon the chair, the chair is adjusted to be unmovable.

[0032] Furthermore the present invention has a simple structure and it can be assembled easily and conveniently.
